    I keep getting the following error when I’m fishing:

    “(12:48:30 AM) Uhoh. There’s no key bound to action ‘Switch to Hotbar 6’.”

    It occurs whenever Miqobot tries to “Mooch”. And while I have Mooch on my hotbar, I keep getting this error message.

    Thank you for this lovely review!
    This is very inspiring indeed 🙂

    I would like to clarify the issues you have encountered.

    • If you want to see Deceleration in action, put 99% into both fields for Acceleration and Deceleration. This way, the Lathered status will be removed as soon as it becomes too dangerous.
      By default, Miqobot sets A and D to 99% and 95% respectively. When Progress + Stamina is between them, Miqobot will keep running by inertia.
    • In order for /sit to work during fishing, just drop a Sit emote on your hotbar.
      Also, maybe you would be interested in our Fishing guide. 🙂

    In reply to your Wish List, I’d like to note that it’s partially implemented already.

    1. This feature is already there. Just input ‘coffer’ in Filter by Name box.
      We also have a special guide on Treasure Hunt in Diadem.
      It looks like this:
      help-3d-radar-05
    2. Weather and Time conditions are already planned as part of the upcoming Scenario Scripting Engine. Check out Helicoprion example there.
    3. For crafting, we released Crafting Solver just yesterday. It eliminates the need for macros and rotations both. Just press Start, and Miqobot will do the rest.
      The current version is far from perfect of course, but we are planning a lot of improvements.
    4. Having a naked Miqote option is nice, but we would like to suggest an eye candy for everybody. Just kidding as well.

    It’s very unfortunate that you can’t stay with us longer.
    We make regular trial resets, with every major feature release. And we sincerely hope that you will find some time to visit us again.

    Thank you very much! 🙂

    First I wanted to say, great job. You’ve obviously put a lot of hard work into this and regardless of what anyone’s moral views of botting software might be, it’s a great piece of software.

    I’ve tried and exhausted my 48 hour trial and I have to say I’ve been impressed. I mostly used the Chocobo Racing, and it’s quite clever. I love that you can set the % of when to use abilities. I have the decelerate only when lathered option turned on and I’m not sure if it’s actually doing it as my chocobo seems to keep going (but not sprinting) while lathered. I don’t know enough about the racing to say if that’s correct but thought I would point it out. It must be doing something right because I come in first place against NPC’s more often then not.

    I don’t use the gathering portion as I’m nervous about having a bot gather stuff for me however I did use the fishing. I love the options given for ‘Chum’ ‘Powerful Hookset’ etc etc. That makes fishing script fish much easier. I did notice the /sit option doesn’t seem to work for me but I don’t really care about that. The light on the pole works fine though. Also having the bot cancel collectibles that don’t meet the requirements specified is great.

    I have not tried the crafting bot yet at all.

    3d Radar is a godsend. I love it.

    So here’s my Wishlist:
    1. 3d Radar: filter to show only treasure chests (would be great for diadem)
    2. Fishing: Weather and Time conditionals. I used a bot called “FISHBOT” by “StolasZagan” for EPvP. It’s a great bot that has weather and time conditionals but not the hookset options. My dream would be to see a combination of the features in MiqoBot and this one.
    3. Crafting: For crafting I’ve been using Lasta_Bot. The bot itself is not all that great in my opinion but the crafting section has one particular option that I absolutely love. It allows you to create and save rotations thus eliminating the need for macros.
    4 UI: I would love to have the option of a naked Miqote… haha just kidding. Kind of … not really, But yes I am.

    So why am I telling you all this? Well, you never know where someone might draw inspiration from and so if anything I’ve typed helps someone (that being the creator of MiqoBot) then all the better. If not, then that’s OK too. The software as it stands now is worth the money you’re asking for. Unfortunately; I personally can not buy more catnip as I don’t even pay for my game and am out of work right now. Hopefully however my words will encourage you to keep up the great work. 🙂 Take care and have fun!

    We are glad to let you know that we have released a new version of Miqobot.
    Thanks to all your suggestions and bug reports, we’ve managed to implement even more features and fixes than we anticipated. And that’s great!

    We are extremely grateful to all of you! 🙂

    New Features

    • Fishing: Fish Eyes is implemented.
    • Chocobo Racing: Chocobo Abilities can now be executed later in the race.
    • Chocobo Racing: Deceleration has been implemented. Precise control over Acceleration and Deceleration rules is now available.
    • Chocobo Racing: Advanced parameter to adjust Steer Power is implemented.
    • Gathering: Gather by Name is implemented.
    • Gathering: Advanced configuration that allows executing gathering skills only for specific items is now available. No more wasting GP on shards or crystals when you don’t need them.
    • Both Gathering and Crafting Macros now accept F1-F12 keys, as well as Numpad 0 – Numpad 9 keys. This is described under Crafting Macros, but this feature applies to Gathering as well.
    • Crafting Macros can be stored in the Crafting Presets list.
    • Crafting Solver has been implemented. Stability has been significantly increased from what was in Beta version.
    • Crafting Solver: Actions are now verified for availability. Verification is performed by job, by level, and by cross skills panel.
    • Crafting Solver: New actions are implemented. Read full list: Solver Skills.
    • Crafting Solver: Formulas are upgraded for 51+. It is now possible to craft any recipe up to level 60.
      (With a few exceptions that require Elementally Aspected actions or specialist actions. Please refer to the Advices section on Crafting Solver.)
    • Crafting Solver: Stability on formula errors is significantly increased. Miqobot now learns on the fly by analyzing each synthesis action result and readjusting when necessary.
    • Crafting Solver: A small reference monitor, which predicts the required time and memory, is added to the Solver options.
    • Crafting Solver: It is now possible to speed up the solving algorithm up to 8 times by sacrificing a small fraction of CP accuracy. Read about this option under CP Chunks of Crafting Solver.
    • Crafting: It is now possible to enable crafting logs and collect data in the process.
    • Crafting Monitor is implemented on Monitor tab.
    • Multibox Support is implemented.
    • Bennu Mount (added in patch 3.25) is now recognized by Miqobot.
    • Keystrokes emulation algorithm has been reimplemented from scratch. It works about 100 times faster than the previous one.

    Fixed Issues

    • An issue wherein Miqobot would get broken in case of a global DNS servers outage.
    • An issue wherein some keys would accidentally interfere with the foreground window, when Miqobot is in the Background mode. (This issue is confirmed to reoccur with diacritic keys.)
    • An issue wherein letter case would accidentally change in the foreground window, when Miqobot is in the Background mode.
    • An issue wherein Ctrl/Alt/Shift would accidentally alter the keystrokes in the foreground window, when Miqobot is in the Background mode.
    • An issue wherein a page in the web browser would accidentally scale itself during mouse wheel scroll, when Miqobot is in the Background mode.
    • An issue wherein a double click would not fire, when Miqobot is in the Background mode.
    • An issue wherein Miqobot would accidentally steal focus from the foreground window, when she’s in the Background mode.
    • An issue wherein Miqobot would stop sending keystrokes, when Miqobot window is minimized.
    • An issue wherein Miqobot would not send keystokes at all, when default keyboard layout is not English.
    • An issue with Crafting Solver, wherein it would crash under certain conditions.
    • An issue with Crafting Solver, wherein it would not reset before crafting a new recipe.
    • An issue with Crafting Solver, wherein it would spam Observe-ToT rotation in attempt to regain 92 CP for Master’s Mend with less than 0.1% probability.
    • An issue with Crafting Solver, wherein it would try to increase Quality bar even when it’s already full.
    • A lot of speed optimizations are implemented for Crafting Solver.
    • An issue with Fishing, wherein Miqobot would accidentally keep a Low Collectability fish under extensive mouse movement.
      (If you want to prevent any consequences of mouse movement completely, please refer to Known Issues section below.)
    • An issue with French, German, and Japanese versions of the game, wherein Miqobot would recognize Collectability rating as 0.
    • An issue with French, German, and Japanese versions of the game, wherein Filter by Name feature of 3D Radar would not work with certain Unicode characters.
    • An issue with French, German, and Japanese versions of the game, wherein fish name would appear incorrectly in the Output Area.
    • An issue with 3D Radar, wherein text labels would appear completely transparent on certain hardware.
    • An issue with Gathering, wherein King’s Yield 2/Blessed Harvest 2 would accidentally fire after several hits on the gathering node, wasting GP in the process.
    • An issue with Gathering, wherein Miqobot would select a slot too late, after applying a skill rotation, thus making some rotations impossible to setup. From now on, Miqobot selects a slot first, and applies skills second.
    • An issue with Gathering, wherein Miqobot would close the gathering window, if it was opened before pressing Start in Miqobot. This could potentially lead to losing an Unspoiled node.

    Minor Changes

    • Removed instructions from Navigation tab in order to give more space to navigation grid names and description area. Detailed instructions are available in the Navigation guide.
    • Removed macro example from Crafting tab in order to give more space to new Crafting features. Macro example is available in the Crafting guide.

    Known Issues

    • An issue wherein Miqobot would fail to move a game cursor, under extensive mouse movement.
      Unfortunately, this can not be fixed without code injections, and we have no plans for implementing code injections.
      Miqobot is aware of this situation, and she will patiently wait for mouse to stop moving before making another attempt. She needs a small fraction of a second (about 0.25 sec) in order to recover from this issue. Under normal circumstances you wouldn’t even notice this behaviour.
      If you want to prevent this behaviour completely, please consider switching the game to Windowed mode and minimizing it, when you run Miqobot in the background. Thus, mouse cursor will not be able to run over the game’s window and will not interfere.
    • An issue with Crafting Solver, wherein it would accidentally try to recommend ‘Nothing’, when there is no Synthesis window at all.
      In this case, crafting step would be identified as step #0, and no actions would be available.
      This is a minor issue, and it doesn’t affect the normal flow of Crafting in any way.
    • An issue with Crafting Solver, wherein in some rare cases it would fail a craft due to Synthesis action launched too late, and analysis not being available early enough to recover from the formula error.
      Please refer to Advices section on Crafting Solver for more details.
      In order to prevent this behaviour when crafting expensive recipes, we recommend making a single Synthesis step manually first, and pressing Start in Miqobot second. This way, Miqobot will analyze the Synthesis result in the beginning and prevent any formula errors from affecting the crafting solution.
    • An issue with Crafting Solver, wherein a level up during the crafting process would cause the current solution to become incorrect, due to significant changes in the formulae.
      This is most likely to happen when a level up takes you from 50 to 51. According to game mechanics, the effective character level changes from 50 to 120.
      This may significantly alter the rotation, and Miqobot would not notice this until the next Synthesis action. As soon as the next Synthesis action is fired and analyzed, Miqobot will recover and make the Solver to recalculate the solution.
    • An issue wherein a diacritic key would accidentally interfere with the foreground window, when Miqobot is in the Background mode.
      A diacritic key (or dead key) is different from the others in that it alters the keyboard state on a system level, thus making it harder to emulate. This issue seems to occur only when both the game and the foreground window are set to non-English keyboard layout.
      A temporary workaround would be switching the game to English layout, when you leave Miqobot in the Background mode.
      Another workaround is to reassign any actions from diacritic shortcuts to some other shortcuts.

    Can weather (e.g. fish only during thunderstorms) and time (e.g. fish between 12-18 Eorzea time) parameters be added to the fishing module?

    I know that the “scheduled time” and “move location” enhancements are going to be part of the Scenario Scripting feature, but at the very least I’d love to enable fishing for just specific weather conditions.

    Hi,

    I’m trying to catch some fish with collectability, but I’m encountering the same issue on both Miqobot v1.2.4 Beta and v1.2.3.

    It seems Miqobot can’t read the collectability number of a fish I just catch, and always think it has 0 collectability, and because of that she will release it, even if the collectability number is way above the one I put in her Collectability box.

    The only way for her to not throw away a fish, is to put 0 in the Collectability box, she will keep then all fish, but this defeat the all purpose of that box : not getting the inventory filled with useless fish.

    Is there something I’m doing wrong?

    Here is her log when I put something else than 0 in the collectability box and the fish she catch didn’t have 0 collectability :

    (18:10:28) Fishing starting...
    (18:10:28) 	Fishing for: 45 min
    (18:10:28) Max scenario fish count: 200
    (18:10:35) Fishing started.
    (18:10:54) Yay! Fish!                  Total: 1 - Time: 0.32/45
    (18:10:54) It's a Okay fish! :3
    (18:11:02) I hold a fish with 0 collectability...
    (18:11:02) Whoops! It slipped through my fingers! :3
    (18:11:06) 0x73F1, 50.8 ilms, 52 lvl, HQ, un //poisson-chat de Vairlame 
    (18:11:07) I am one with the waves..

    Here is her log when I put 0 in the collectability box and the fish she catch didn’t have 0 collectability :

    (18:13:03) Powerful hook!
    (18:13:03) Yay! Fish!                  Total: 5 - Time: 2.47/45
    (18:13:03) It's a Okay fish! :3
    (18:13:12) I hold a fish with 0 collectability...
    (18:13:12)   Meow! 1
    (18:13:14) 0xD2D1, 49.5 ilms, 52 lvl, HQ, un //poisson-chat de Vairlame 

    Oh and something else not really important, but since we can see it in this example, maybe it worth mentioning it now, she seems to have some issues displaying some non-english names, maybe some Unicode problem. I can see that in her log, weird characters instead of real ones, and sometimes it can be a greater issue, when I need to filter 3D radar with a word using a non english character.

    For example :
    carpe à trois lèvres

    Instead of :
    Carpe à trois lèvres

    Hi,

    I have a request regarding using Miqobot when doing combats.

    Right now, I’m already doing what I’m requesting with the help of my Razer macros, while it’s already working quite well, it could be even better with Miqobot, because unlike my Razer macros, she’s aware of many things happening in the game and can choose where an when to do something.

    I play BRD as main since 6 years now and here is what I’m doing today :

    {Bloodletter}/{Rain of Death}
    Lots of BRD DPS comes from procs, when a DoT do a crit, it gives you a free instant {Bloodletter}/{Rain of Death} available, it can happens many times (ticks) in a row, and for example there are situations also where it can happens very close to the end of its normal recast, and if you don’t use it fast enough, you lose one.
    The trick is to be able to use them as soon as they are available, while not losing time in the GCD rotations.
    So what I did, is to set up a Razer macro spamming {Bloodletter}. During my BRD opener, I launch the macro, and from that point, Razer driver spam a keyboard key and never miss an available {Bloodletter}, I set up the spam delay to not be too quick (still faster than a server tick), to not flood the server, and to minimise its impact on delaying other abilities I’m using in my rotations.
    I set up 2 macros, one for {Bloodletter} (single target ability), and one for {Rain of Death} (AoE ability), they share the same recast and same proc. So depending on the situation, during the combat, I’m using one or the other one, and I’m switching from one to the other one by pressing each macro buttons, cause that way it will always shut down one macro and launch the other one. And when the combat is done, I’m switching off the current one.

    {Misery’s End}
    This ability becomes available when an enemy HP is below 20%, while it’s simple to use it on a boss, it becomes tricky during many situations like DPS races on multi-target for example, like A6S right now, on the second boss, killing all Alpha Spheres requires to switch really fast on all of them, and finish the ones close to reach the center.
    I set up a macro that spam {Misery’s End} with the same delay as the previous one, but I launch it at a slightly different time at the end of my opener so that it spams it not quite at the same time.

    {Hawk’s Eye}/{Raging Strikes}/{Blood for Blood}/{Internal Release}
    BRD has access to a lots of buff, there is 2 ways to handle them in the rotations, after using them all during the opener, separating them in 2 groups and use them only when some other ability that deal lot of damages become available, or use them as soon as they are available.
    The 1st strategy optimizes them to deal big damages specifically on one ability, while the second strategy doesn’t deal the same amount of damage, but since it uses them more often, it makes up for that, and in the end, from my parsing experiences, it’s the same average DPS.
    So, from this statement, I chose to use them as soon as they become available, so one minute after my opener, I start a macro that spam in cycle all these 4 buff, the macro press button A, then button B, then button C, then button D, then it starts all over again, slowly, again, to not spam the server too much, and to not prevent me to use my GCD normal rotation by overlapping too many keys.
    They are fights where I don’t use this macro, for example in A6S, I keep all my buff for every opener for all the bosses, and it’s convenient to be able to switch it off quick, because many fights have pause where you don’t want to use a buff when nothing happens, like during Sephirot Ex transformation, etc.

    {Blunt Arrow}
    When I don’t need to silence something during a fight, I use this ability inside my DPS rotations, since there is no cast, I made also a macro spamming it. During the opener, depending on the fight, I launch it or not.

    The only issue I can get is during fights that requires you to turn away from the boss, like for Petrifaction, etc. With these macros if I turn away, one can fire an arrow and screw me up, and if you deselect your target, you are fine unless you take some damages, which will immediately take your opponent as a target, so what I do is simply switching off the 3 macros that can screw me, wait until the boss does his ability, and I reapply them.

    So why all these macros, cause that way I can focus more on the mechanics and my rotations, giving me precious time to land and refresh DoT on several targets at the same time, to remove Pacification from WAR, etc. etc. and all this without losing DPS.

    Why do I want Miqobot to handle this in place of my Razer driver macros?
    For several reasons, the 1st one is because spamming keys all the time is not the best solution, and clutters too much the normal rotation, slowing it down a bit in the end.
    Second reason, it’s not very beautiful to watch when I stream/record, it shows with no doubt I’m using spamming macros.

    How could Miqobot handle this better?
    Unlike my Razer stupid macros, Miqobot knows exactly when an ability becomes available, and she can starts to spam it only when it becomes available, and she will stop the spam right after the ability launched.
    This will prevent much of the clutters, she will be way more efficient than a random slow spam, giving me more DPS, and this will look totally legit when someone watch the stream/record.

    Which features could Miqobot offers?
    Something simple, you choose an ability or a group of abilities, and you set up a key inside Miqobot for this ability or the group (a key not used in FFXIV), and when you will press it, Miqobot will spam available abilities as soon as they are available, she will stop to spam an ability after its launch, she will wait until the ability is again available to spam it again.
    Pressing the key we set up will start the spam or will stop it.
    Setting them as group or single makes it convenient to start or stop them independently, to adapt the best way possible to a specific fight.

    I don’t know if it will be as useful for other jobs as it is for BRD, but it’s definitely very useful for BRD.
    Maybe Miqobot devs, or Miqobot users will find some new way to use this feature, and maybe Miqobot devs can find more useful features close to this one to increase DPS efficiently for end-game purposes.
    Because I do use Miqobot for fishing, gathering, crafting and for the Gold Saucer, but maybe there is some clean ways to use it to maximise DPS for end-game.

    Thank you in advance for taking this into consideration.

    Not sure what is an accelerator but. Apparently I don’t have a genuine Windows 7 key. So i was getting a small window prompt message saying something like You may be a victim of softward counterfeiting. To use all microsoft windows features, such as updates; get the laters updates and receive product support, your copy of microsoft windows must be validaded as genuine. So i had to purchase it.. and i aint want to :S So i removed that damn crap that wouldnt even allow me to have desktop wallpaper since eveyr 10mins or so i would get this pop up window. So I went and did this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGVBvwoRLF8 and fix that.

    I came to read this reply after servers got taken down for maintance. I tried to squese every last minute of gaming. But I would like what you have suggested and I’ll also try test if i get the same issues running Fishing and gathering bots

    Okay, got it.
    So basically the issue didn’t go anywhere, and slui.exe was just an accelerator, right?
    We will make a special diagnostics build of Miqobot for you, which will perform tests and create a log file with results. All you will have to do is launch it, do some Chocobo Racing as usual, and send us the log file 🙂

    This will be done after the maintenance for patch 3.25 coming in a few hours, since Miqobot will most likely be broken. After we fix it again, we’ll make a diagnostics build.

    If you read this message before the servers go down, we would like to ask you to try Fishing bot or Gathering bot. We need to know whether this issue is specific to Chocobo Racing only or this is a bug somewhere in basic logics.
    Thank you!

    Hi Jony.

    First of all, we have moved your post into a separate topic, because this issue requires special attention. Hope you don’t mind 🙂

    Second, let us isolate the issue. Chocobo Racing is one of the most CPU-intensive feature we have at the moment, so there may be a lot of factors involved. We would ask you to follow these steps and tell us what’s happening at each of them.

    1. Restart your PC and start a DX11 version of the game. Does it perform normally?
    2. Launch Miqobot and let it auto-detect the game. Does screen lag or freeze already at this point?
    3. Copy everything that Miqobot says in the output area and post here (starting from “Hello! I am your Miqobot!”).
    4. Switch to Monitor tab and observe the data it shows. Does it show correct values?
    5. Disable 3D Radar completely. In order to do that, switch off all of these options:
      – 3D Radar tab -> show -> choose nothing;
      – 3D Radar tab -> show FATEs -> list;
      – 3D Radar tab -> show FATEs -> world;
      – Navigation tab -> show on radar;
      – Gold Saucer tab -> show -> rails;
      – Gold Saucer tab -> show -> mid-rail;
      – Gold Saucer tab -> show -> progress;
      – Gold Saucer tab -> show -> waypoint.
      With all of these options disabled, does the issue persist?
    6. If the issue doesn’t persist after step #5, then try switching them on and observe the results. Switch only one option at a time and see whether it changes anything. After you test each of the options, enable them all and tell us what happens.
    7. Instead of Chocobo Racing, try a Fishing bot. It has the most basic mechanics, so it’s better to start here.
    8. If Fishing bot works, try a Gathering bot next. Follow the steps written in the beginning of Gathering Guide.
    9. When you finally detect the issue, stop at that point and just close Miqobot. Does the issue go away immediately?

    Let us know the results and we’ll think what to do next 🙂

    Hi,

    Wonderful bot, I can’t wait for the upcoming releases (gathering by name, AI craft, etc.).

    I just encountered a problem with the temporary crafting macro features. My hot-bars use lots of F keys short-cuts (F10, CTRL+F10, SHIFT+F10, etc.) and after creating the following macro I got a strange behaviour :

    shift+f10, shift+f2, i, f3, f3, f10, f3, f3, i, p, o, y, f12

    Instead of doing a SHIFT+F10, Miqobot typed a SHIFT+1 (which is my FC Menu short-cut), in the output area she said she typed a shift+f10 (18:38:24) Crafting step 1 -> key ‘shift+f10’ but FFXIV didn’t recognised that as a SHIFT+F10.
    Another example, for f3, she’s typing a 3 instead of a F3. So it seems she has some troubles with F keys.

    With the same short-cuts, she has no problem fishing and gathering.
    If I do the macro myself by pressing myself all the listed keys, it works.

    So for now, I changed the short-cuts that were using an F key, Miqobot crafting feature works as intended that way, but when she’ll be done, I will have to change back the short-cuts so I can play like I’m used to.

    So, is there something I’m doing wrong, or is there a bug with F keys?

    Thank you in advance for your help.

    I was wondering if anyone else has a problem with Miqo keeping fish that are waaaaay below the collectibility set in the bot settings?

    I’ve been farming perch and I have it set to the 826 as needed for the perch. And for some reason, not consistently, but occasionally Miqo will keep fish well below 826 ( anywhere between 400-800 ), after an hour fishing session this usually adds to somewhere between 7-12 fish out of everything I caught.

    I’m not running out of inventory space or anything in this time so it’s not a HUGE issue but i’m curious if anyone else is having this happen.
