I mean it bots gathering and crafting which are the primary ways to make gil, there are a bunch of different scenarios that will make you varying amounts of money by selling stuff on the MB.

You can sell gathering mats, crafted items, aethersands, crystals, materia, scrip items… it just depends what you want to do.

Yea the Manganese has some paths that end up going into pillars, I had to edit a couple paths over the past couple of weeks when it errored out on me as well.

The original grids weren’t mine so I tried to edit them originally to fix alot of issues, but I think a couple things have still cropped up over the last month as I was using it and I only fixed it locally..

You can save macros in Miqo just like gathering rotations or anything else and call them in scenarios… it’s actually alot better than ingame macros because theres no 15 line limitation.

I have like 10 different crafting macros and just call them based on what I’m crafting, you really only need a few for each raid/crafting tier anyways.

For example, I have a scenario that gathers relevant items in part 1, then does this in part 2:
    craftMacro(80D Purple Scrip)
    job(CUL)
    recipe(Rarefied Sykon Bavarois)
    craft(50)
    repair()

Currently miqo waits until you have max GP to cast patience 2, not sure if there’s a way around it.

Yes I edited alot of the pre-existing grids for myself because they were janky, but appreciate people starting them because it cuts out the work.

In terms of good examples for people starting to make grids, the ShB all in one scenario was really well done if you need examples for EW.

The most obvious things new people are doing is:
-Not making foot waypoints between the sets of close nodes at each of the 3 “main locations” for each material
-Making flying waypoints way too high in the air. Both the bot and a real humans don’t need to fly way up in the air to get to the next set of nodes
-Not adding a path from the nearest aetheryte to the gathering location which is important for building scenarios (I’ll usually queue up a list of like 10 things to gather(100) to get a stack of ~900ish of each)

Just what I was looking for, I started on this as well but will test yours as I only have a couple zones done.

I noticed a couple bugs though:
-Repair() is set after going to a waypoint while you are flying, and you can’t repair in the air so the scenario breaks, so you would
want the Job(BTN) / repair() arguments before going to a WP.

-Integral Log is gathering slot 6

    Couple other notes:
-Similar to the Mining scenario posted, I created generic gather preset that has compass on and gather by name blank and added an
argument to the scenario to load gatherpreset(EW_Generic) or else it will clash if you have an existing gather preset selected that
    uses gather by name.

-Also I suggest adding materiaExtract() with the repair() since testing grids for 88-90 materials I already spiritbond my pentamelded
    gear.

I have a Scarlet Moko Grass/Giant Popoto/Sideritis grid done also in mine if you want it, going to try and work on an AR-Cotton one before bed which is the last one I really care about.

Piggybacking off @kuarupi‘s updates, looks like 1-9 were looking good.

I made some updates to 10-15 grids and overall QoL stuff:
-I had to add one gatherpreset (EW_Generic) because I found that the current scenario will just use whichever gatherpreset you currently have selected, if that preset uses ‘Gather by Name’ which many scenarios use, then it will override the gatherSlot() code in this scenario and won’t work correctly. So EW_Generic just makes sure gather by name is clear and compass is turned on
-Added materiaextract() argument before the repair() in each step since some of the higher level nodes will cap your spiritbond and why waste free materia
-For the grids associated with 10-15 I added foot waypoint where it makes sense which both makes it more natural and in some cases is faster
-Also changed up alot of flying pathing for Chondrite, Star Quartz, and Ambrosial/Annite/Zircon grids also since some were going into the ground or structures

Thanks so much for this, one suggestion I have is adding foot points by the nodes, right now it looks really suspicious on some of them to hit 1 node, mount up fly 1 ft in the air, then come back down and walk to the 2nd node at each gathering cluster. Specifically I’m looking at the Ambrosia Water grid since that’s an in-demand item.

Also not sure if this is happening to other people, but since there’s not an actual gatherpreset() the gatherslot() thing doesn’t seem to always be working for me, like it’ll say gatherslot(3) but it will be mining a different slot, not sure if it’s just grabbing another of my gatherpresets() and overriding the slot or something.

I’ve started to edit these to try and get things a bit smoother as well, but really appreciate someone taking the time to start working on these.

Looks like they’re modeled after the ShB one that contained all the gather items which was really well done, so trying to edit these a bit closer to that.

If your talking about the post SE puts out where they ban a small amount of users every couple of months that’s generally for gil sellers and the super obvious bots that use teleporting.

Once you hit ‘Craft Items’ and it gives you the generated list of all of the ingredients, how hard would it to be to add something that allows you to delete certain items from that window (or ignore them if you set the item to 0 quantity)?

My workaround has been to use the custom craft macro button to set certain items to 0, but it will still either bring them into the miqobot scenario or in the case of gathering items still make a gathering step to go gather(1). So I still have to do alot of cleanup in the miqobot scenario to delete certain gathering steps or remove lines from the crafting scenario at the end.

Preference would be to ignore them completely when it’s exporting the miqobot scenario like they don’t even exist.

Not sure if that’s something easy to change? Thanks.

Based on the old grids, probably gonna be a few days until something even somewhat workable is put out. And since alot of people finished their 500K achieve in phase 2 the same people might not be updating grids this time around. I’m hearing that nodes changed so old grids aren’t going to be plug and play once miqobot supports the new map.

I didn’t make one from scratch last time but I was heavily involved in testing them since I got 500K bot/min in phase 2. The zone is huge and there are alot of pathing issues due to the number/location of all of the nodes that it took weeks of iteration until you had a good grid that could be left alone without crashing out.

A normal gathering grid is maybe 30 branches and can updated fairly quickly (i.e. phase 1 I made my own grids in an hour because they were on the normal maps like normal gathering nodes).

Diadem grids have almost 400 branches and are more complex to deal with the tornados, more nodes with more opportunity to get stuck, and diademboom() (which probably won’t be included for initial grids).

If you’re trying for rankings for the first 10 days you’re going to either have to use fishing or one of the crafters and buy mats.

This is actually one of the things I really wish miqo added which is one of the main “tedious” things still remaining. It’s sad that they patched out Trusts counting towards this mount farm in 5.1, or we could have at least used that.

I’m almost done with the DRK 300 runs for the armored mount, but still have to do the other 3 tanks… would love to automate that.

As someone who has subbed to miqo for almost a year, I’m overall indifferent to what the priority is but can see why people want a way to tomestone grind.

Here’s the way I see it, I’ve been able to do everything gathering/crafting related over the past year, including maxing all crafts/gatherers, doing all gathering achievements, catching all big fish except 3 from SB (the 3 annoying ones), getting 500K Ishgard points for all jobs and getting the mount, regularly running scenarios to replenish gathering/crafting mats to sell on the MB, and gil capping + more.

So I think the current functionality is more than enough even if there could still be improvements when it comes to crafting/gathering. While I would welcome any update and improvement to miqo, I can see why people want functionality that currently doesn’t exist as a priority compared to improving on functionality that is already functional enough to immensely speed up the crafting/gathering process.
