If you mean PCombo, then yes, I use it, miqo has no problems using it.

Can we just, not discuss the war and various aspects of it and patiently wait? I don’t think this is the place for these kind of topics.

They’re doing what they can to stay alive, that’s all we need to know.

do you know if it works like act where a new patch just breaks the entire .exe or will some unchanged parts be usable, for example. if sam isnt changed, would battle assist for sam still work, or would miqobot just not detect the game running. sorry for the question im kinda new to the bot

    Every patch breaks the bot.

In normal circumstances, a major patch breaks most bots for a couple weeks, if it’s a really massive overhaul of the game, a couple months before everything is back up and running.

A minor patch usually doesn’t take longer than a couple days. However, this is in NORMAL circumstances.

Ukraine is anything but normal circumstances. I’m sure they’ll do their best, however, I’m also sure they have way more important things to worry about than this bot, like staying alive for example.

Mate, given the situation, do you really think they can give any kind of ETA?

It’ll be back up when it’s back up.

Until then, we patiently wait, or at least I will.

Dragoon works pretty well. You have to only press like 1 or 2 buttons. Other than that it goes by itself. Haven’t tried others, I don’t often use combat assist.

Miqo doesn’t support sandboxing last I checked. Could be wrong though.

Yeah I was gonna say. I know you guys don’t accept any monetary donations, and that’s fair… But if there’s any resources you need maybe get a PO Box or something, and people can send in clothes/food/resources in general.

I think that would be fine and we know it’d at least be delivered to Ukraine and not some shady humanitarian “aid”.

How you gonna send resources to a PO Box? Normal transportation systems don’t really work anymore. Not sure if it’s the case for all the country but I’d assume it is, I only heard this from a few friends I had in Ukraine, and I say had because unfortunately I got confirmation about a week ago that they’re gone.

Might not actually be a miqo problem.

I haven’t tried it yet, HOWEVER, several of my friends alerted me to the fact that they’re lagging specifically on FF14. Delayed skills, hotbars not even being detected as getting pressed, and several other all-around connection related problems.

It might be just certain regions having a stroke with FF14 servers rather than miqo itself.

Yup, not even I as moderator have real insight into the coding of Miqobot. My job is to manage the forums, and that’s it.

Do you have any kind of contact with the miqobot team?

I don’t give two fucks about the bot dying soon, I just wanna know if they’re alive.

What are you using to do this? Not exactly new to this bot but never used it to level alts. I know its off subject but not sure where else to ask.

The way I did it was to just level until first squadron dungeon, and then spam those to level up.

Works well considering I work IT so I’m home and at my PC all the time, no GM ever tried to whisper me, but you know, better safe than sorry, never leave the bot unattended.

I’m just gonna drop by to say, please be safe miqo team, the bot can go fuck itself for weeks or months or however long it takes if it means all of you have a better chance of survival.

Personally even if the bot were to go down for months, I’m still going to check it consistently and come back the second it’s back. As much as Miqobot helps, safety and human life stands above all else.

Of course. However it will take a long time before those happen.

In the meantime, for optimal results you need to play savage yourself. Though in any case for optimal results you need to play yourself. While miqo is nice, it’s not capable of keeping up with a good raider.

You can already use macro crafting in-game so I’m honestly not really sure what the advantage of miqo macro vs in-game macro really is.

When a program is compiled, everything is assigned a certain sort of “memory” value, that the system uses to find things, when a patch for the client hits, those memory values change, its just a part of programming, miqobot has to read those values to know what to do. So when a patch changes all those values, the team has to go back and in basically update all the values in miqobot to match what the new patch has changed.

Its why 90% of plugins break for most mmorpgs when patches hit, the memory addresses change and the hooks they used have to all be updated to the new values.

Why does this take 2 weeks to figure out? I’m genuinely curious.

It doesn’t take 2 weeks to figure that out.

However, you do gotta keep in mind that the Miqobot team aren’t robots, they do in fact, play FF14 and presumably enjoy the game like we do. Playing the game takes priority over the bot. It’ll be updated in due time either way.
