Might not actually be a miqo problem.

I haven’t tried it yet, HOWEVER, several of my friends alerted me to the fact that they’re lagging specifically on FF14. Delayed skills, hotbars not even being detected as getting pressed, and several other all-around connection related problems.

It might be just certain regions having a stroke with FF14 servers rather than miqo itself.

OH!! that’s a good point!! When we were raiding on Monday we had TONS of problems with snapshots. We were dying to mechs that we hadn’t died to in WEEKS. We showed as out of the mechs and people were still dying. We couldn’t figure out what the heck was happening.

I didn’t even consider that as a possibility of affecting miqo (because I’m a bonehead)

I specifically use the Scenario created for GC/Trust dungeon runs located here.

I’ve run this scenario until I was booted by maintenance and had no issue with it at all. I gained three levels on WAR from Ravel and a few thousand ventures

As you find your style, please don’t hesitate to ask questions. People use it in all different ways and there is no “right or wrong” way to do it. It’s really a matter of “I want to do X. How can Miqo help me do that?” and the community will chime in and help you out with it!

Not the same, but I ran my trust scenario for hours and Miqo had no troubles. Maybe it’s limited to squadrons only? the Ravel trust runs for leveling, on WAR, with turn in for ventures worked no problem

Thanks for your answer! I am not so worried about hunts not being implemented, it’s was more a “If I upload this, what do I need to tell people that it WONT do? aka: provide a disclaimer “You need to acquire these mats yourself, this scenario will not do it for you”

Good to know the crafting solver works again. I’ve never used Miqo with it working so I’ve always done the manual crafting. I should give it a shot it may cut down on some scenario bloat. (if crafting solver works, I don’t have to include macros etc)

Is there an etiquette to using someone else’s grid? Like I said, I haven’t made my own so is it possible to say “I’m including Grid X made by Y on this because it’s what I use to complete the scenario”

again, thank you for your time!

So this is what I do with Miqo and manually creating macros:

I start with one of the following:
    – TeamCraft (I either figure it out or take one of the community ones and tailor it to my needs)
    – Balance (sometimes they have solid macros on there that need to be tweaked to your needs)

Once I have the macro I do the following:

      – Have all the crafting abilities on my hot bars for every class IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT (so reflect is 1 on all crafting classes, masters mend is crtl+1 on all of them)
      – go to the crafting tab on MiQo
      – Turn off the solver
      – Hit the NEW button under the box
      – double click on “new Macro” and rename it to something you like
      – on the macro bar (next to the start button) I enter the specific keys that correspond to the macro I have figured out.
      — (My tinctures macro looks like this: 1,2,3,4,5,5,5,6,7,8,9,9,9,-)
      – click the “Overwrite” button
      – click “yes”

Now when you go to craft you tell it what macro to use (in my case: Tincture) and from here on out, whenever you create a scenario you can call the macro you created by using it’s name in the scenario

I just want to take a moment and say THANK YOU. This scrip STILL WORKS even with all the changes to the trust/DF windows they implemented in 6.1. As soon as Miqo came back up, I pulled my tank into Ravel and fired up the scrip and I WAS OFF AND RUNNING!!

I freaking love this scenario and I just had to say thank you!!

MIQO IS BACK!! *dance dance* Miqo is back!!

yes I’m thrilled and yes, I still want yall to take care of yourself and be safe. unlike others, I don’t need the bot to play, but I love it nonetheless.

Thank you. for everything. Your patience, understanding, drive, dedication.

I do appreciate what you’ve done and if I’ve added to the stress in any way, 1000 apologies. I will work to be better and not repeat those mistakes.

    Cost Breakdown:
Minion Bot key – $60 per year
Combat arc (profile) – $10 – $15 each Low end will parse you purple, high end will parse you orange in savage
gather/craft – $44 for the (what I feel) is the best gathering/crafting combo
    gold saucer – $13
Dungeons that are updated FAST (usually 3 days) when a new one comes out (this will also add positional assistance on screen for melee jobs) $60
Total cost for everything Miqo gives but much better dungeon options (it has ALL SHB and EW dungeons plus many more squad dungeons for leveling and has way better combat management, updating rotations within hours or days of patches if needed based on what the Balance recommends. It’s always been up within HOURS of all patches, was back up in 3 days form the new exp.
Start up (6 months key) $157 (or $162 if you want orange arcs)

    Yearly miqo key- $120
    yearly minion key- $60

    2 years miqo – $240
2 years minion $187 (start up included in this)

2 years minion $252 (by your math) #justsayin and that is for *one* combat class. If you want more than one it is an additional $10-$15 PER CLASS. So to make it truly comparable to Miqo we have to add another $160 at the low end and $240 at the top end for the “orange arcs”.

**REASONABLY** I don’t know how many would want that many combat classes so that is a little over the top (yes, discounting my own argument but if we’re throwing out numbers I’m going to throw them all out), but I raid with five. PLD/AST/NIN/MCH/SMN.

I raid manually. I’m fine with raiding manually. I’ve tried bot raiding and you know what it got me? 3 points on my parse AND because none of my static was on a bot, the burst windows were off because of mechs and strats. I STILL didn’t parse purple even with a bot that told me I would because more goes into parses than sheer damage output. you have to worry about gear, clear times, number of others parsing that class. EVERYTHING. I’m not savaged geared yet. I don’t have BiS and i’m certainly not ilvl 600. Purple parses are not in my future at this point because of where I am at.

I feel it is disingenuous for ANY bot to promise a certain color parse without taking into the variables that go into the parse.

now i’m off topic. But, for one class, it’s not much more expensive just a higher start up cost. I’ll see myself out.

Oh boy the cultish stuff going on here is embarrassing. Cringeworthy

Bold comment from someone who has described minion as “easy to install”, “expensive”, and “scary” because the built in hacks can get you banned.

Look, as I said in my previous post, I’m sure Minion is a fine bot, it’s just too rich for my blood when it comes to doing what I want it to do (farm dungeons with trusts to level up alt classes, auto gather/mass craft so I can help my FC) as I understand it husbando has some KILLER combat assist plugins but they come at a premium. Additionally, you have to buy each expansion separately. I don’t doubt the work that goes into keeping the bot alive (just from these forums) but the INITIAL investment to get what I had with Miqo is PRICY.

I’m not cultish I’m freaking SPOILED.

Miqo Spoiled me for what I want to do.

I don’t need combat assist. I have my mains and I know their rotations and timings. I’m fine.
      I don’t need PVP assist because I don’t PVP
I love the community scenarios like farm X dungeon, turn in gear for seals, buy ventures, REACH CRACK HEAD GOALS
I love the community scenarios “Reduce all the aethersand in this expac REACH CRACK HEAD GOALS PART DEAUX” and not be limited by the dev’s belief that “its’ faster to farm crystals manually or send your retainers out for it”
I love to be able to string together scenarios into some frakenbot (Have you ever gathered, sent your retainers back out, turned stuff in, bought ventures, repeat? It’s AMAZING)
I’m SPOILED because all this and a supportive community that answers questions when you have them came at the amazing cost of $10/mo.

I’m genuinely glad Minion works for you and you don’t mind dropping the cash for it. AND there is no need to badmouth others just because we realize that for *our* needs, the grass isn’t greener

totally understand. if this is their happy place, I don’t need to take it from them. I have learned first hand in my new day job the “do what you love” mentality and If I can help them with the drudgery tasks (and learn in helping them that I love those tasks) and free them up to do the things they love, well so much better for everything.

    thanks for the answers guys!

tried RB and my AV/Firewall HATES IT. not to mention to get it to do half of what Miqo does natively I have to download additional repos, make sure I know where they go, unblock them, install them properly, and relaunch the bot with every install to make sure the updates dont break something else.

To get it to do some of the things the community here does NATIVELY I’ve had to purchase add ons (Lisbeth which is good but man figuring out how to make it JUST farm the EW aethersands was a hot mess for a second.)

Minion is not an option for me. I spend my expendable income on FFXIV and 10 retainers. The number of plug ins and add ons I’d have to purchase to make Minion reasonably comparable to Miqo is just not feasible.

I’m sure there are those that love the others and swear by them, and that’s awesome, but they are not for me.

I AM grateful for what I learned:
    – Miqo is a damn solid bot
    – The community here is amazing and loves sharing so we can all benefit
    – Coding/Creating Scenarios for Miqo isn’t challenging and it’s what I SHOULD do when Miqo comes back so I can give back to the community.

Popular opinion: It’s not charity it’s providing support to real human beings living through a harrowing experience and giving them ONE THING in their day to provide a sense of normalcy. I (along with many others) will continue to support and be patient because I (we) know there are REAL PEOPLE on the other side of this world wide web and it is about more than just a game (or a bot)

I leveled all classes manually via trusts to hit omni-80. I’ve used Miqo to level all the classes I have no interest in so far to 90 (BLM, MNK,) I’ve had no problems. I *do* have an FC, they don’t say a damn thing. but we also use ACT and other things so, yea. I do the following things when running trusts with Miqo:

Run a scenario that takes me to the GC turn in
      Do turn ins
      eat food
      repair gear
      Queue back into dungeon

I have a different set of things that I do when running gathering/crafting but it runs the same line as “the fewer people who know/see the better
