    Did that too; though, aethersands you receive from old content are next to useless atm. Well some newbie FCs still use them for guild buffs, but that’s it. It became next to impossible to sell Duskglow and especially Duskborne, even if you sell them at just 500 gil or so – as opposed to new aethersands which can easily be sold at 8-10k each.

    Just use farming rule of thumb: when you need some material – you do not actually have to farm this material. You have to farm what brings most gil/hour, sell it and buy whatever material you need.

    In 3.1, which came roughly 4.5 months after the launch of Heavensward, we got the Chimerical Felt crafter/gatherer gear, which was also white.

    A question to Arc and others, who still remember start of HW/SB: when patches 3.05 and 4.05 were released, were these crafts just added to the list, or they were released as new master books? And, in case of latter: were these books sold for low-tier scrips (blue in HW / red in SB), or rather high-tier (red in HW / yellow in SB)?

    Found another gathering bug/feature… Say, there is a grid which covers gathering spot which consists of 3 groups of nodes, 3 nodes per group: 1a, 1b, 1c, 2a, 2b and so on. There are beacons between each pair of groups. Say, beacon A is placed after group 1, to cover all nodes of group 2; beacon B is placed after group 2, etc. Now there are two possible scenarios:

    1) Either node 1c or node 2a did not spawn. Then Miqo either gathers 1a and 1b (neither of group 2 nodes are visible from 1b), or it gathers first node of group 1 plus 1c (neither 2b nor 2c are visible from 1c), so it flies to beacon A, notices nodes of group 2, gathers them, finds no more nodes and proceeds to beacon B: everything works as intended.
    2) Both nodes 1c and 2a spawn (does not always happen, but still happens). Miqo gathers first node of group 1 + node 1c, and instantly notices node 2a. It flies to 2a through beacon A, but it is not used as actual beacon – rather, used as a common waypoint. In gathers 2a and then another node of group 2, and… backtracks to beacon A, because it’s not marked as “visited”, most probably (as opposed to going to beacon B, which is the closest to nodes 2b and 2c).

    Possible fixes:
    I. Once Miqo flies through a beacon (no matter if it is used as a beacon or not), beacon should be marked as “visited”. Later it should choose next unvisited beacon. Of course, in case of star-like grid with just a single “central” beacon it should still fly to this beacon, no matter if it’s “visited” or not.
    II. Miqo should always choose the nearest unvisited beacon (if any).

    Plus there is another bug. Say, my collectable rotation requires 600 GP. With not enough GP (and no scenarios) Miqo does not use rotation, but rather gathers something else. Now let’s say it started to gather with 599 GP. The first hit on non-collectible item brings 5 GP, now Miqo thinks it has enough GP to use collectible rotation, so it moves cursor to collectable item and… starts to gather completely useless items as non-collectible, without starting the rotation (well thank goodness: at least it does not waste GPs).

    Possible fix: rotation GP check should never be performed once gathering of current node is started. You hit an item = you gather this item until node is totally gathered, no matter of new GP.

    Made 80m over the last weeks without touching gathering for a second.

    Made 101 mil during the first ten days of ShB, without touching gathering (Miqo was broken back then, and manual farming effectively puts me asleep in no time), via crafts only, without even knowing that Reuse exists (my old skills made me 100% HQ items out of full set of NQ only materials, so why even bother about new skills?) Does that count?

    My point is: amount of mil per day does not matter because it depends on too many details. Some statistics like “number of procs per given number of successful crafts” could be useful, OTOH…

    Any luck with it? Just to remind: it was a bug where Miqo does weird backtracks once ephemereal node (not connected to the grid) appears. Just encountered it again using another grid…

    There are no automatical triggers. On the other hand, it does not hurt at all to spam repairs even if you don’t need them, so add “repair()” command to your scenario so it gets executed every hour or every Eorzean day (72 mins rl) or so.

    I was just wondering if it’s possible to reorganize scenarios/grids/presets in Miqobot’s lists.

    Of course it is. Quit Miqo, open presets.miqo in any sane editor and move (i.e. cut-and-paste) lines any way you like. Just make sure you move whole sets (name and sequence) together. Backing up original presets.miqo won’t hurt either.

    Indeed, replace “collectible” with your collectible name, and “different slot” with what you wanna gather as non-collectible.

    Decided to raise fishing as well… and noticed that Miqo never uses Powerful Hookset when tiny fish bites. Well, in most cases it’s logical, but sometimes tiny fish such as Blueclaw Shrimp is also levequest fish, so I’d like to catch it HQ as well, even if it means spending GPs on it. Is there any way to force Miqo to use Powerful Hookset for any fish, tiny included?

    use scenario function for checking the amount prior to gather.

    That’s the problem TS describes, actually… To use rotationIfGP, you have to add new abilities to rotations, which is impossible now.

    I’m making 5-7m per day right now just selling the craftable gathering set.

    Tbh, this is exactly the way I was earning my 3-5 mil/day before. Though, right now at our server mats for simple LTW/CRP items (i.e. w/o dwarven cotton) cost about 50k, while the item itself sells for 100-120k; items with cotton are sold at a loss for some reason. Maybe there is less competition at your server, but I don’t see any way to make 5 mil out of 50-70k profit sales. You aren’t going to sell 70-100 items per day, are you?

    5 logs -> lumber is worth more than 5X

    You forgot to include time into calculation… the time you spend a) crafting, b) putting on market, c) checking market and playing 1 gil game. For example, my main char right now makes about 1 mil every hour gathering, so its minute costs about 16k, which basically makes crafting packs of lumber / leather / nuggets / cotton not really worthwhile.

    Standard Touch does not make Basic Touch obsolete, as it’s not like you always have CPs left for Standard. Moreover, you are going to use Basic Touch even in lvl70 rotations – as a placeholder for Precise Touch, while Standard Touch becomes nearly obsolete once you get Advanced Touch, and completely obsolete after getting Preparatory Touch.
