Should be easy enough to test in a trust. Aggro some stuff but don’t tank it, see what happens when you turn her on 🙂
Oh just saw the last line there. I don’t have warrior that high yet either…maybe someone else can. My assumption is that she won’t as it is a new ability and I don’t know that Shake it Off was ever triggered automatically either.
Absolutely true for level capped dungeons etc but while leveling; they may be min ilvl gear, out of practice, or as you say simply not using CDs. All of which make getting that first stun off harder and if it is a leveling dungeon the dps may be an issue as well…
In any case, it is good to be prepared and have options other than pointing at the tank when the party wipes.
So I haven’t used WHM in dungeons since 80 but I know that Freecure has really never been something people cared about in general prior to Endwalker. Has it changed? As I recall, not long after getting Cure II, Cure is just never used. Were it not for leveling roulette, I think most would never have it on the bar.
As for big pulls, I never used any soft target lock stuff, I just kept my eyeballs on the tank’s HP and tapped escape as needed, Miqo will instantly heal them if they’re low enough. She’s just not smart enough to interrupt her own casts it seems.
If that isn’t enough and you want to force her into a healer mode, create macros that swap all offensive abilities on & off your bars. With this method, you can manually trigger holy with a bar that Miqo is told to ignore or with a macro that doesn’t have the Holy icon.
December 28, 2021 at 7:59 am in reply to: Could you make it so we can resize the Miqobot window? #34476I think a “minimal” setting would be cool. To get around its size, I usually have it “always on top” and dragged off the monitor so that just the “finish” button is visible while I have it doing anything… Something like having it in the notifications bar could be cool too. I’m still in love with the idea of a phone app to control it but that and the notification panel is pretty far out of scope 😛
Edit: By minimal, I’m imagining a simple box no larger than say the finish button itself and some counter or indicator of craft/gather/instances left to completion. The bot window could remain as is but stay minimized until the task is done, it is forced to stop or the minimal window is closed.

It’s definitely not “great” it gives obviously wrong direction for card play at times and the deckbuilding it does while consistent seems illogical in some cases as well. But for grinding cards while paying almost 0 attention, it does serve some purpose. The web based one might be better but requires far more attention than I’m willing to give the game when the card drop rate is as low as it is…
Consider the changes coming to housing already announced. Even assuming any majority of users take up the idea and it gets put in the production queue, the need for it may be gone by the time it is complete.
That said, I find myself wondering what the real population of FFXIV will be in a few months. Is there going to be another big wave of players coming because most long-term players are not even back in the game yet, still waiting for Endwalker? Or have they mostly returned already? What will it mean for housing if they aren’t? And are all the WoW converts going to stick around after they finish EW? If not, will housing become abundant then?
If you have an ability on any hotbar (seemingly even the ones you tell it to ignore) miqo will look at using that ability either as part of the rotation or as needed (such as healing).
If the slot its in isn’t bound, miqo will try to switch the main bar to that bar using keybinds to switch bars, so it can trigger the ability. Switching bars isn’t optimal and will slow down ogcd ability usage.
I’m not sure about hidden bars but I know the bot works even with the UI off, at least till it looks for a chest to open…she doesn’t like that.
I would suggest just testing it out on a dummy. If it doesn’t work, try making the bars super small?
Obviously, I’ll have to take your word for this stuff – which I’m fine with, but just to clarify where I was going is this: I’m under the impression if miqo was setup to do it, it could see what abilities you’re using even if it doesn’t recognize them from before, maybe just the hotbar locations yeah? And then just repeat what was done, more reliably and faster? And again to clarify a bit, for me, I’m only imagining a slightly intelligent macro functionality here and only for the brief period after patches until full support comes along. But it certainly could also be used for people who want custom rotations, right? Maybe, they just want their perfect opener, or a saved set of different openers that all just play once and then end.
Again, I’m just guessing at what’s possible…it wouldn’t surprise me to be wrong in my understanding of the bot’s capabilities or how badly a patch screws up what using a weaponskill would look like to the bot…I’m no programmer, lol…just how I envisioned it could work.
And I’m also not pushing for it to be any kind of priority either. Just seems like something that would be useful for a lot of folks while the bot is down and it’s been quite a while since I last played. Maybe it’s better to just have the downtime though, as I could see people complaining about the lost 100% functionality during their sub.
I’m honestly a bit surprised there hasn’t been some way to create your own rotations. Something like just setting miqobot to listen to what you do in-game and teach her what you want her to do. Seems like this would be a way to get her to learn new abilities and adapt to changes without much real work?
I also saw it using shadeshift fine. Recommendations for TA/suiton sound good though. Mug/Jug could also be saved for TA if coming up.
I would definitely not try doing manual casts at all without pausing. Maybe outside combat with heal/buff off. Just getting it to use armor crush is hard enough; frequently got bunnied trying to slip it in.
