In general, I would have to imagine you’re getting these types of messages in private, because I think overall these forums are full of very patient, helpful people. I’m personally not seeing what you’re seeing. Yes, there are threads asking about potential features, but I don’t think these are being asked in a negative way. If that type of thing bothers you, the bluntest thing I can say is that you need to get over feeling bad about people asking. I can’t find one good example of people being rude about it, they just want to know.
Miqobot has increased my enjoyment of FFXIV a hundred fold, and I already loved it, it’s my second-longest played MMO over all the years I’ve played them since UO. The MB team should be confident and secure knowing that you have enhanced the gameplay of many, many people. Don’t worry so much about the pestering for new features. If people are being rude to you in private, you need to learn to ignore it mostly.
My personal opinion on the development speed is simply that 5.0 turned a lot of the game upside down, and because MB does not inject itself (thankfully) into the game, correcting and updating these features has overwhelmed the team a bit. You clearly had a roadmap for implementing new and updated features (like combat improvements) but Shadowbringers really threw a wrench in there.
I thought it was a miracle that it came back so quickly after 5.0, even though the main feature I originally bought it for (crafting) doesn’t work so well anymore. No worries there, crafting is 99% macroable now and you can have MB push those buttons.
Overall I would say that Miqobot is an amazing bargain for $10 a month. Keep your chins up and try to read these forums in a less negative light; people are always going to want more and better things, but I don’t think anyone’s publicly being rude about it. Keep doing what you’re doing, and thank you!
P.S. I thought at one point someone had been designated as a sort of forum liason so the development team could focus more on dev and less on the stress of answering the same thing over and over, if that person’s gone it might be worth the effort to find someone new.

I understand the priority list, but I would be really disappointed if MB decides to stop updating the Crafting Solver. To me it was the primary reason I started using MB, though I now take advantage of a number of its great features. I think maybe I just have a bit of nostalgia towards the Solver because it’s what I started to use first with MB, and it was amazing.
To be fair to the community, I don’t think the threads you linked are saying that MB should not make an effort to use 71+ skills. I view those threads as an animated discussion designed to make MB better as a whole. Yes, crafting in Shadowbringers is much easier (IMO) than in the past, but that doesn’t mean that an updated bot wouldn’t be a huge assist to those using it.
In regards to Trusts, people want them so badly (again, IMO) because Sohm Al just doesn’t cut it for leveling 75+ anymore. So there is a strong desire for a higher-level dungeon option.
I missed my chance to comment on Arc’s thread, but if I was to create my own priority list, it would be:
1) Trusts/Scenario Engine combat for 70+ dungeons, this includes updated skill rotations
2) Small open-world combat improvements like a FATE assist (automatically switch enemy targets), but not fully automated open-world combat
3) UI improvements like being able to sort gathering/navigation grids, preventing duplicate entries, etc
4) Crafting SolverI realize that the MB team is small and that none of this is easy; to me Miqobot is a MIRACLE and it greatly enhances my FFXIV gameplay. I appreciate that tasks must be prioritized, in this post I’m only expressing my desire to see the Solver get an update eventually. Thank you for creating such a wonderful suite of tools!

That’s why you should also have read my second paragraph:
I read it, just mentioning that it’s kind of in conflict with your first paragraph. It’s cool, I’m not arguing with you, the whole situation is just interesting overall.
IMO it’s extremely rare to be banned or suspended by SE, for whatever reason they just don’t seem to care unless you are actively interfering with players. Maybe they feel like this type of botting is both difficult to detect (thanks Miqo for being so great at that) and/or they have bigger issues than people gathering stuff automatically, like the hordes of BLM bots that teleport all over the place.
I tend to believe if you’re suspended due to Miqo it’s a combination of maybe pushing it a bit too far (like farming for 7 days straight, haha) along with some bad luck of someone repeatedly reporting you.
Doesn’t make any sense the first offense is a warning and a 10 day suspension. The next offense is a perma-ban. You pretty have to be reported by someone for the GMs to look at you. I’ve had throwaway accounts running nearly 24/7 for months at a time and not be banned.
This is absolutely false in every way.
1. The order is not Warning + 10 Day Suspension -> Permaban. There are 6 Steps of account penalty:
Caution -> Warning -> 3 Days Ban -> 10 Days Ban -> 20 Days Ban -> Permaban
They even have it written officially in their official account penalty policy on the Square Enix website:
https://support.na.square-enix.com/faqarticle.php?kid=68098&id=5382&la=1That isn’t what the website really says in my opinion. It says there are six LEVELS, not six STEPS. They could apply any level at any time, you wouldn’t always start at “Caution” and then work your way up. It depends on what they catch you doing.
July 29, 2019 at 7:11 pm in reply to: [Scenario] Gatherer Scrip Farming (Yellow/Leveling + White) #16029It takes a lot of development work to produce these dungeon runs, these 4 are the ones they’ve released at this time. They’ve promised more so hopefully they’re in development, but I’m sure they are slammed with ShB stuff also. I think I read somewhere that it took about 150 runs of Sohm Al to get to 70.
I agree that the squad combat system they implemented here is amazing, I’m definitely looking forward to more improvements.
July 9, 2017 at 7:54 pm in reply to: [Scenario] RED SCRIPT & 60-70 EXP FARMING (Completely hands free!!) #4348Like this, basically
teleport(The House of the Fierce)
unstealth()
changeJob(Botanist)
sendKey(ctrl+=, 1.5)
sendKey(ctrl+=, 1.5)
sendKey(ctrl+=, 1.5)
selectGrid(Lotus Root)
selectGatherPreset(Lotus Root)
selectGatherRotation(CollectableSB)
afkUntil(8:05et)
startGathering(1)It spams the key a few times to get it to activate.
July 9, 2017 at 6:50 pm in reply to: [Scenario] RED SCRIPT & 60-70 EXP FARMING (Completely hands free!!) #4345Quick update on collectible glove if anyone else is having this issue. I think one issue related to the scenario specifically is that sometimes the keypress for ctrl+= (cordial) doesn’t actually trigger the item, probably due to the way FFXIV handles client-server communication. What I did was just repeat the ctrl+= line a few times to make sure it fires off the cordial. If Miqo detects that you don’t have enough GP it will turn off Glove no matter what.
July 9, 2017 at 6:01 pm in reply to: [Scenario] RED SCRIPT & 60-70 EXP FARMING (Completely hands free!!) #4344At this point the whole thing works pretty reliably from a scripting perspective. It does seem to get stuck porting sometimes, the bot just seems to be very sensitive when needing to use up/down/left/right controls, which is understandable I guess.
The Collectible Glove thing is a bit of a nightmare. It seems to randomly turn it off (or not activate it) for no particular reason. Don’t think it is particular to this scenario though.
