I haven’t read through all the answers to this thread yet, but I just wanted to quickly post a short piece of information for the community, since this doesn’t appear to be very clear and people were already assuming the correct state:
As some already assumed correctly, most of these toxic messages the dev team received were indeed “private messages”. To be more precise, it’s E-Mails to the tech support of Miqobot.
And to add further to this, I’d like to mention, that these E-Mails are the absolutely vast majority of messages Miqobot receives on a daily basis. The messages on the forums only encompass roughly 20-30% of the messages Miqobot receives at all.Aside from that: I’d also like to thank you all for these kind words and the support you’re voicing for the Dev Team. Even if the voice on the forums only encompasses a fraction of opinions, it is still relevant and I’m sure that the Devs really appreciate them.

From here on I’ll add answers based on what I’ve read in this thread.
@cowboybebop:
Yes, I have been given a moderator status for the forums to help the Miqobot Dev Team and take some work off their backs. So far I have restructured and maintained the Grids & Presets index, as well as the Scenarios index, I did a survey on the forum community opinion in regards to some planned and debated features and finally I also have initially made the Patch Notes thread in the development section of the forums, which required a lot of digging through the forums history. However, due to the fact that I’m getting close to my Bachelors degree at my university and I’m under a lot of pressure with exams I currently have limited capabilities of doing the work I have applied for. What I’m currently capable of doing is to maintain the scenarios & grids index threads, which already takes some work off the Miqobot dev team.
Once I have more time again, I still want to help the Dev team with the tasks I applied for. These include creating and updating guides in the development section, writing technical descriptions and converting technical information into a publicly readable format and more or less building a human feed between developers and users for better communication.@sinrion:
I did not simply vanish. I clearly stated the reason for my reduced activity in several threads already, as well as in this post.
Also, the moderation part that I took up on was mainly focused on updating indexes, conveying information between the forum community and the Miqobot Dev team, as well as writing/updating guides, which only the latter two lacked during the last couple of months.
I am not quite sure, what you expect in terms of moderation, but as I stated before most of the toxic messages that I assume you think need moderation are received directly via E-Mail at the tech support, where I do not have any access at all (and I did not apply for in the first place).@maxd:
Thank you for your kind words. I do appreciate them 🙂
This might not solve the issue completely, but I’m currently close to a larger break of my exams, where I have more time to moderate the forums on a more active basis again, until the next big exam phase starts. I hope that I can be more of a help again, when this break finally starts.____________________________
Bottom line: Although I feel some disappointment due to my inactivity recently, there are no hard feelings from my side and I hope I conveyed a bit of enlightenment from my point of view. Also, I’m looking forward to when I can take up my work again and I hope it will help the devs alleviate some stress.
What AirForceOne said.
Just my few experienced cents though:
I don’t have any need for gil, but I like to always have a little amount as a backup, if I need to buy some mats quickly to craft a bunch of stuff. Before 5.2 I was down to 80k gil, since I’ve spent a lot of gil on furniture.
After 5.2 was released, the first thing I did was to craft a bunch of Cunning Craftsman’s Syrup (Collectable) to turn in for scrips, so I could buy every new Master Book after about half an hour. Then I took a look at the Balance Discord server in the doh/dol channel to see, where the new mats are found. Made alarms for these, gathered all the mats I could get in 1 hour, then started crafting new DoW weapons and put 3 up for 5 million gil each. The first one was bought after 20 minutes, the second after a couple of hours for 1,9m and the third yesterday for 1,8m.Now I’m at a healthy level of gil again.
Anyone can do this at the start of a new patch and if you want, you can go absolutely nuts, crafting 5 of each weapon & armor and you’ll most likely end up with enough gil to buy a mansion or even more.November 19, 2019 at 7:07 am in reply to: Miqocrafter [Crafting/Gathering Full Scenario Generator] #18974Arc
-> Read miqo.preset to search for existing gridsA bit late to the party again, but wanted to say thanks for this 🙂
By the way: I have edited your initial post (since you cannot edit it anymore) and updated the version number of Miqocrafter on the link, so people won’t get confused 🙂
Alright, gonna use this thread so everything stays clean and packed.
Made one for SkB White Ash Log / Resin and one for the cotton. Enjoy 🙂

You must be logged in to view attached files.Yes, a community manager has joined our team a while ago. He helped us a lot during summer expansion by organizing forums and gathering community opinions.
He is temporary unavailable at the moment, but he promised to come back soon.*waves*
That’s me 🙂As Miqo stated, I’m currently unavailable for the larger community management tasks, due to my time being restricted by my university’s exam phase, however I still try to keep up the simple forum tasks, like keeping the Scenarios and Gathering Grids index threads updated, as well as answering simple, already asked questions – tasks, that for most people are annoying and require frequent review, but in my case are things that I enjoy doing.
Once I am free of the whole studying workload, I’m happy to jump back in to the work here. Looking forward to this 🙂

Propably for the Ishgard Restoration feature that’s coming out in 2 weeks, which they announced as “competitive” Crafter & Gatherer content (with leaderboards). That’s what you’ll most likely need the new gear for.Farming dungeons, trials and raids unsynced doesn’t award poetics. You only get them if you run them synced with other players.
And the chances that Miqobot will implement automated hunt train joining are very low, since there are a lot of other players around and it could possibly risk a high level of attention.
