So what about the Cross skills?
And what about the Monitor tab?The behaviour you describe matches exactly the one observed when Careful Synthesis and Careful Synthesis II are disabled in Cross skills. If there is no way to finish a Synthesis, Miqobot will definitely get confused.
Can you confirm that both are available in Cross skills?
Can you provide a screenshot of the Monitor tab?Thank you very much!
Yes, it seems that in this particular case the 50% roll is already decided.
It is indeed an extremely rare event as we haven’t encountered this one ourselves. But when we do, we’ll definitely post additional footage of what’s hiding behind the glowing door. However, this would not affect previous experiments in any way.
If you don’t see the glowing door – you can’t make any other door glow.
(Well actually you can, by editing the game memory. But such actions would not affect the outcome.)Consider this a gift from the server.
Instead of the Illusion of Choice, it gives you the Absence of Choice 🙂Already accepted and being prepared for release 🙂
Desynthesis will be released in 2 parts:
- Desynthesis by Name
- Desynthesis by Inventory Slots
The 1st part is planned for Miqobot v1.2.5.
The 2nd part is planned for Miqobot v1.3.x series. You can find more information in these threads:
– Desynth Request
– Feature Request: DesynthesisThank you for reporting!
We have received your screenshot, and we detached it from your post for security reasons. However, we need some additional information to be able to help you 🙂
Please follow these steps:- Switch to Monitor tab, select Crafting there.
Select a cheap Lv1 recipe and start crafting manually.
Use Steady Hand II.
Does it reflect on Monitor atSteady Hand
line?
- Use other crafting buffs (Comfort Zone, Inner Quiet, Great Strides).
Do they reflect on Monitor correctly?
- Verify that you have at least one of the following skills on your hotbar:
– Basic Synthesis
– Careful Synthesis
– Careful Synthesis II
- In case you have removed Basic Synthesis from the hotbar, check your Cross skills.
Do you have either Careful Synthesis or Careful Synthesis II enabled in Cross skills?
- Temporarily remove the following skills from your hotbar:
– Steady Hand
– Steady Hand II
– Tricks of the Trade
Now select a cheap recipe again.
Switch back to Crafting tab in Miqobot, and press Start.
What skills does she use now?
If nothing from above helps, please Enable Logs on Crafting tab, and craft something with Miqobot again.
After a single craft is done, find the following files:
– miqo_crafting.log
– miqo_crafting_solver.log
Put them into Rar or Zip and attach to your next post.Thank you!
Thank you for clarifying!
We have sent you a diagnostics build by email.
Please download it and check whether the issue with running in circles is gone.- When you are at Chocobo Square, open the Monitor tab.
- Verify that Z coordinate shows a value of 0.0 (or close to it).
- Switch to Minigames and press Start.
Does Miqobot work correctly now?
Thank you for attaching the screenshot and the config files. Seems like we’ve detected the cause of your issue.
First of all, your Character Settings are fine.
It’s the Monitor that indicates the broken data. The Z coordinate throughout the Chocobo Square is 0.0, but your Monitor shows 2.15. It’s like your character is floating mid air. You weren’t actually jumping while taking a picture, right? 🙂
Something made Miqobot confused about XYZ coordinates. She doesn’t detect them correctly, so she can’t navigate properly, which in turn leads to running in circles. This may be a new issue from Patch 3.3, since this is the first time we see this bug.We already have an idea of how to fix it, and we’ll prepare a special diagnostics build for you.
It will be ready in a few hours. In the meantime, would you please check the 3D Radar tab for additional information?
Please enableShow -> All
andShow -> Self
options there.- Does it show the green circles in the game?
- Does it show the green circle corresponding to your character?
- Does this circle lay on the ground or float mid air?
Thank you!
Experiment 1. Rooms.
The Question: Are there multiple instances of the same room?In order to answer this question, we have decided to build a Navigation Grid as we progress through Aquapolis.
Kind of like unrolling a ball of Ariadne’s thread.
Also, we were always choosing the Vault Doors on the right, until the Aquapolis kicked us out.The main feature of a Navigation Grid is that it’s bound to XYZ coordinates. So in case we would end up in a different instance on the next run, the Navigation Grid would appear in a different place.
Alas, there was only one instance of Aquapolis and one instance of each room. When we entered the dungeon the 2nd time, the Grid was there patiently waiting for our return.
After this, we switched to choosing Vault Doors on the left (while drawing on the same Navigation Grid).
And just like you said, the branching pathways immediately collapsed. Here’s a view of this Navigation Grid from the top.
So:
- Rooms never change.
- There is only one instance of each room.
- The only thing that changes is corridors.
Experiment 2. Corridors.
The Question: Can we predict the outcome of our choice? We have decided to see what’s behind each Vault Door before making a choice. If there’s a dead end, we’d just have to look around the corner to confirm that.
So we squeezed through the Door on the left, then through the Door on the right.Behold the void of Aquapolis 🙂
Now it becomes clear.
How Aquapolis Works
- When you enter the room, both corridors are dead ends.
They lead into a bottomless pit, and you can see the entrance to the next room across. Corridors are twisted at such angle that you would not be able to see this pit from behind the Doors. - Before you make a choice, the next room is empty.
There is no Treasure and no monsters guarding it.
Which means there is no point in using teleport hacks to jump across. - When you make a choice, the server does a 50% random roll for you.
- If you win, the game client generates a matching corridor piece, which leads into the next room.
– If you choose left, the left corridor will be generated.
– If you choose right, the right corridor will be generated.
– The opposite corridor stays a bottomless pit (you won’t be able to go there anyway so why bother).
– The Treasure Coffer is generated, and the next room is filled with monsters.
So basically, the game gives you the Illusion of Choice.
In reality, it doesn’t matter which way you go – the server decides that. The game only fits the matching image for your choice if the server allows to.This is it 🙂
The only way to predict the correct Vault Door would be implementing RNG Solver. But the cost of this solution is so big, that by the time it would be done there will be no humanity left to enjoy it.
If you’re curious about how RNG works, you can find more insights here: Roll Solver.Thank you for bringing up the interesting topic!
And welcome 🙂Far as I know, everything is default, I only recently reinstalled FFXIV and haven’t changed much yet. Where do I send the files to? I’m unable to attach due to security stuff.
Just archive them into Zip or Rar, and you will be able to attach them 🙂
Also, one more question.
Please switch to Monitor tab and look at XYZ and Camera values. Do these values look stable when you move the camera up/down and left/right?
CamH should be within [-3.14; 3.14] range.
CamV should be within [-1.48; 0.79] range. If you could make a screenshot of the Monitor tab, it would help too.
Thank you very much!
Would you please let us know whether you have any non-standard Character Settings?
- Are you playing in 3rd person view or in 1st person view?
- Do you use any reversed axis? (under Character Configuration -> General -> Camera Control)
Inverted axis support is currently being implemented as described here: Inverted Y Axis - Do you use a non-default Camera Speed? (under Character Configuration -> General -> at the bottom)
The default speed is 50. - Do you have any shortcuts that may interfere with Point Camera actions? (under System -> Keybinds -> Movement tab).
For more information on what shortcut interference is, please follow this guide: Keybinds and Icons Recognition - If nothing from above helps, you may send us the following files from your Config Directory:
– COMMON.DAT
– CONTROL0.DAT
– CONTROL1.DAT
– KEYBIND.DAT
This way, we can reproduce your Character Settings exactly, and tell you how to fix it.
These files contain no personal information, and you can view them in Notepad to make sure.
You can find more information here: Config File Names and Descriptions
Thank you very much!
June 9, 2016 at 10:50 pm in reply to: Not detecting the Race Chocobo Reigistrar NPC on 2nd run and thereafter #1654Thank you for reporting!
Yes, there is indeed a problem with being unable to target the NPC under some specific camera angles.
Miqobot is already aware of the possible issues and she already tries to mitigate the circumstances by scrolling through the targets on screen, then adjusting camera left and right, and then adjusting camera up and down. But due to not using code injections, Miqobot can not detect 3D obstacles which may be interfering (the reception desk in this case). This is the seventh iteration of the algorithm, and we are still looking for ways to improve it. We are open to any ideas and suggestions you might want to share 🙂
If you have found the way to make the camera positioned correctly, this is the best solution at the moment. I think we should add this information to the Chocobo Racing guide, until we find a better solution. By zooming in, do you mean that you switch into 1st person view, or do you place the camera as close as possible to your character in 3rd person view?
Thank you very much!
Would you please give us more information about your issue?
- What item are you trying to Gather by Name?
- How do you name it in Miqobot?
- What happens when Miqobot is gathering? What exactly is not working?
- What does Miqobot say in her Output Area?
- Can you provide a screenshot of your setup for Gather by Name in Miqobot?
- Can you provide a screenshot of the items within the gathering node?
The more information we have, the faster we can find a solution 🙂
Thank you very much!Accepted 🙂
We will think of an easy way to setup Miqobot for farming Levequests and Treasure Coffers with Scenarios.
As Questing Bot is already in development, we might be able to include some of the basic questing features into Scenario Engine.Thank you!
