    Hello.

All functions are well documented under the ? button on the Scenario tab.

    Your Scenario:
You are missing the () in findFish

    Your Answers:
    1. afkuntil(), workuntil() are your friends. I find using Eorzian time the easiest, remember to be mindful of am/pm component tho.
For example: Waiting AFK until 2:30 am ET is written afkuntil(02:30et)

    2. skipBadWeather() works, but takes a moment to kick in during scenario. If you use this you will always go to the destination & start fishing before the weather is counted and the chapter is skipped. I see no way around this. Below is an excerpt from one of my scenarios that uses skipbadweather().

    workUntil(00:00et)
    goodWeather(Clear Skies)
    goodWeather(Fair Skies)
    goodWeather(Clouds)
    skipBadWeather()
    moochBlacklist(Ocean Cloud)
    fish()

    3. Lots to ask here eh? Break this down into easier pieces and you will find it much more manageable.
    a. Change your teleport() functions to teleportif(). Your example should work fine.

    b. Miqobot + Fish Eyes is a disaster. If I have to use Fish Eyes I am always at the keyboard evaluating its use. Point being Miqo will spam Fish Eyes all day and you will have 0 GP if you don’t use it properly. Using in conjunction with skipbadweather() is a GP disaster waiting to happen.

    c. You should look at using fishpreset() for targeting single fish or my personal favorite moochpreset() for swapping presets based your mooch fish.

Oh! Side note, If you can find other fish that don’t spawn during the same times, you can make a 24/7 scenario that will always be fishing for something that is up, and something that you still need. For instance,(00:00et) to (02:00et) Fish A in chapter 1 (02:00et) to (04:00et) Fish B in chapter 2, and so on until you have 12 chapters filled with fish you need. Im sure it wont be that simple of spawn times, but that’s the main idea. Fish 24/7 🙂

    waypoint(7)
    workFor(19:00et)
    findFish
    fish(5)
    repeatAll(999)

As far as making a skip based on weather, I don’t think that is possible with the current scenario commands. Same goes for Teleporting based on weather. At the moment, miqo doesn’t actually skip bad weather, she just changes the fishing time to 1 min. At best your fishing windows are 5 mins long and you want as much of that window as possible. I would just set it up to run regardless of weather. The edits make use of the extra hour on the Cupfish, but after you get Fingers, I would suggest removing the fingers chapter and adding in an “afkUntil(16:50et)” above the workFor command on the Cupfish chapter. This way you will get all 5mins of fishing time for the cupfish after you have Fingers off of your to do list. Hope this helps!

I need some help for the following:

I want to catch Fingers in Horizon (Western Thanalan) and Cupish in Moraby Drydocks (Lower La Noscea) both need Clear Skies for high catch rate.

I understand the basics of Miqo and I managed to set it up to Teleport

    job(FSH)
    teleport(Horizon)
    grid(Fishing Fingers)
    bait(Northern Krill)
    waypoint(7)
    findFish
    fish(5)

    As well as

    job(FSH)
    teleport(Moraby Drydocks)
    grid(Fishing Cupfish)
    bait(Syrphid Basket)
    waypoint(7)
    findFish
    fish(5)

The problems I have now are:
    1. How can I specify the exact Eorzian Time I want Miqo to arrive in sport, start fishing, end fishing.
    2. How can I use addGoodWeather() & skipBadWeather() to specify fishing only during Clear Skies and move to next chapter if weather is not correct.
    3. How can I tell Miqo to teleport from Horizon (chapter 1) to Moraby Drydocks (Chapter 2) and/or Moraby Drydocks to Horizon to spam Fish Eyes of weather is correct.

This is my first step into getting to know the Scenario Engine, so I really depend on your help.

Mostly looking to do gathering/crafting. If there’s a routine that’ll gather and craft all my quest turnins, that would be ideal, but it’s not super important. Gathering is the main thing I’m looking for, preferably that doesn’t look like it’s obviously a bot.

Crafting is easy: open your craft log, select the recipe you want, tell Miqobot how many times to craft, and hit start. She’ll maximise the quality bar on each craft while still guaranteeing completion, insofar as you have the stats to complete the craft. The only thing you need to do is put all of the skills you want her to use on KEYBOUND hotbar slots – Miqobot only uses keybinds to trigger things. She’ll calculate exactly how to get you the best quality each time, respecting material condition.

Gathering takes a bit more work. Miqobot doesn’t have “built in” navigation grids, only a small handful of bundled ones – and you can change, replace, or delete them if you want. You can find navgrids made by other users here on the forums, which can be downloaded and imported quickly and simply, or you can hand-make your own grids instead. As with the bundled ones, you can edit the imported ones too – all navgrids are basically points that Miqo goes to, and lines connecting those points so she knows how to get to each point, from each other point. Don’t worry about defining longer paths, she calculates the shortest distance based on the lines defined.

For gathering, the navgrids mean that there’s more work involved for the initial setup than just saying “I want these items”, but it also means that – especially if you tweak your grids or make them yourself – you won’t have the same exact paths as other players, even if they’re also using Miqobot. Once the navgrid is set up though, gathering is also pretty easy. You can define a gathering preset which consists of a linked navgrid (for Miqo to use while moving around to the gathering nodes) and a list of items by name that you want her to gather, in a priority ordering. The details are more important once you get started, but you can find them easily enough elsewhere on the forum. Once the gathering preset is ready for the item you want, just go to that area (the area of the NAVGRID, not just the map zone) and tell Miqo how many NODES you want her to harvest, then hit start. She’ll use the grid to move around to each node and handle everything for you at that point.

Finally, as an alternative, you can also put Miqobot into assisted gathering mode, where she won’t move on her own anymore. Instead, she’ll look for the nodes you specify (partial name) when they get within reach of your character while you walk around, and then she’ll open them up and take care of gathering from them according to your prioritised item list.

So, bottom line: for crafting, few things are easier than Miqobot; for gathering, there’s an initial setup time, but after that she’s probably the socially-safest option, and it’s also pretty easy to do that initial setup.

Overall, for $10 for a month, and the dev team automatically extending subscriptions for game downtime AND bot downtime, even if you only use the craft/gather features I consider Miqobot more than worth it. I haven’t used the combat features much yet, but the MGP farming is fantastic too.

Oh yeah, she also does fishing for you, on top of node gathering.

I try to learn and experiment with setting up a navigation Grid to catch a certain Fish. I know the basics and can get up to the spot I need to go. But Miqo stops short of the actual coast line, even with branch distance 0, and isn’t close enough to start fishing.

Does anybody else have the same issue? How can I solve it?

Thank you very much for the clarification! After disabling the hooksets, I have had success. If/When cast timers are implemented for double hook, I think not much more can be done to improve ocean fishing results. Thanks again!

Double Hook is triggered under the following conditions:

    • Double Hook setting is enabled.
    • Double Hook icon is on hotbar.
    • Powerful Hookset is disabled or not required.
    • Precision Hookset is disabled or not required.
    • GP value is 400+.
    • Tug type matches the filter specified by doubleHookTug().

Please note that the function doubleHookTug() does not enable Double Hook setting in Miqobot automatically.
If this setting is disabled in the fishing preset, the function doubleHookTug() has no effect.

I’m having trouble getting Miqo to use Double Hook while ocean fishing. The scenario looks like this:

    setFishNoIntuitionBait(Krill)
    setFishNoIntuitionPreset(Ocean Fishing)
    setFishIntuitionBait(Plump Worm)
    setFishIntuitionPreset(Ocean Intuition)
    setFishWeatherBait(Spectral,Ragworm)
    setFishWeatherPreset(Spectral,Spectral DH)
    doubleHookTug(large)
    startFishing(7)

and the presets have Patience, snagging, and mooch turned on. For the “Spectral DH” I have Patience deselected. I assumed that Miqo takes into account the reduced efficiency while Patience is applied and chooses to not use double hook. I havent been able to get Miqo to use DH even with this hypothesis taken into account. What am I missing?

I noticed that if I set it to 7 min fishing. and after 6:30 it continues to try fishing until the next zone, then finishes the remaining time of that timer then afk. If I set it to 6, I have those 30 sec where I just stand there. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Change the afk time to match the amount of time you need to get you through the cut scene. Im running 7min fishing time with a 15 sec afk timer. It should continue to try to fish for the last 30 sec and should AFK around the 1/2 way mark in the cutscene.

Is there chapters for the Rhotano Sea Daytime route?

Oh dang! Here is the update with that route! This is actually a good route for Double Hooking. I’ve heard that Patience is a double hook killer so let me know if you notice many !!! getting away in spectral weather on that specific route. I updated times to be more accurate with the 7 min fishing window. You cast all the way through until 30sec and it starts back up before 5 seconds into the next zone.

jakebnda, this is not working here
When he hits the final part “startFishing(6)” he keep spaming:

(21:23:04) DEBUG: Name is ambiguous. Count = 3. FishPreset: ‘Ocean Fishing’
(21:23:05) DEBUG: Name is ambiguous. Count = 3. FishPreset: ‘Ocean Fishing’
(21:23:06) DEBUG: Name is ambiguous. Count = 3. FishPreset: ‘Ocean Fishing’
(21:23:07) DEBUG: Name is ambiguous. Count = 3. FishPreset: ‘Ocean Fishing’
(21:23:23) DEBUG: Name is ambiguous. Count = 3. FishPreset: ‘Ocean Fishing’

and dont do to next chapter. Ill try to change the 7min count to 6, but nothing changes.
    I’m doing something wrong?

You have too many Fishing Presets named “Ocean Fishing” It crashes because it doesn’t know which preset to use. Delete your oldest “Ocean Fishing” Preset or Rename it.

I was looking for something more specific, something like the blue crab fishing script, understand?

Ahh I want to catch fish type A or B, exactly as there is for mining and botanist, but I don’t think there is anything like that.

I will try to make some script.

    Thanks

Automatic pause for chat would be my top priority as well. I’d like to see it across the board. (In scenarios, fishing, crafting, etc.)
