    >What do you usually use it for, running dungeons/trials/raids to farm?

Correct, and for anything short of savage content, it is plenty fine. It’s not 100% optimized in every single case, but it’s more than competent and allows you to concentrate on encounter mechanics and avoiding damage.

Honestly just love how well-integrated it all is. No paying separately for modules that don’t always work together, etc. It’s fairly intuitive, and quite elegant in how it operates. The fact it doesn’t inject code into the game and relies solely on keyboard inputs makes me feel secure enough in it’s behavior to even use it on my main character to begin with.

The combat assist is especially robust, and the crafting solver is actually quite useful since the recent updates and really help simplify matters without having to juggle a handful of various macros.

Even the more ancillary functions are great, like squadron leveling and chocobo racing/Gold Saucer minigames.

I think the biggest selling point is how active and responsive Miqo team is along with everyone else here on the forums. The grids and scenarios everyone shares here have been great to use and build off.

Unspoiled/Legendary or otherwise timed nodes are a lot more stable pricewise usually. Or you could just farm aethersands from those same timed nodes. Check your current MB prices to see which is more lucrative.

    Repair and/or improve your gear.

edit: to clarify, I had similar issues on a job with crap gear at the same place, upgraded a few gear slots and it was no longer an issue.

Been using Miqobot for over two years.

I follow these two rules: I never leave it running unattended, and I pause combat assist when exiting a duty so I dont perform any actions the instant I teleport back into the game world.

    No bans or warnings yet.

I was going to post this in the Combat Beta thread, but it’s ancient now so I’ll just say here:

The new cards functionality for AST is pretty damn impressive, as are the updates to SMN’s rotation. Like, startlingly impressive.

Honestly, do most Miqobot users even register an account/post to the forums?

I know some users here will always have criticism to give (both constructive and otherwise), but I think it’s still relatively safe to say that the majority of end-users *are* happy with Miqobot. I know I still am.

I said this in another recent thread, but will say again here:

I think a lot of this perceived pressure and recent accusations of stalled development stems from the fact that the vast majority of end-users have no idea at all how difficult it can sometimes be to maintain Miqobot, let alone iterate and improve certain features of it. This coupled with the fact that Miqobot is absolutely *best-in-class* compared to all other popularly available bots for FFXIV, and honestly is “groundbreaking technology” to most of us… it’s easy to get carried away wanting to see it improve constantly.

Personally, if Miqobot were to be discontinued for whatever reason, I’d likely stop playing FFXIV entirely. Miqobot really improves my experience playing to that degree. Perhaps if others feel similarly, then our being overly anxious or having unrealistic hopes/expectations is more understandable?

We are very sorry but Holminster Switch is already implemented, so it will be released first.
We sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations.

It’s easy for users’ expectations to be unrealistic sometimes when the features roadmap/timeline isn’t very well defined. We don’t know just how easy or difficult it is for certain things to be implemented or updated like your team does.

It’s great how you take our feedback into account so much, but don’t feel the need to apologize or design Miqobot by user committee. I think at some point we need to respect YOUR team’s vision for Miqobot as developers.

While some of this criticism came off pretty harsh, I think the civility attached to it is admirable, and Miqo team’s reply does clarify things well.

As a user since Stormblood release, it does seem like some features that were planned back then have fallen by the wayside (Triple Triad and now Mahjong by extension are definitely RIPE for automation in some robust form, by Miqobot or whatever else.)

As for now, I’m just hoping a hotfixed combat assist is released by Sunday, would be especially clutch while the more difficult content is still fresh!

No offense intended, but this is like asking how many times you should wipe your ass. The answer is:

It depends. Use a little common sense.

Whom exactly are you concerned about becoming suspicious? Do you have a lot of FC-mates or friends online whom might find it odd that you’ve run Stone Vigil for hours on end? Perhaps you should wait for them to go offline before doing a bunch of runs.

My recommendation: NEVER let Miqobot run unattended, ever. The only stories of people getting banned that you see on these forums are from users who let Miqobot run unattended for a very long time. Break up your run times and always be present/near the keyboard so you can respond to anyone that messages you.

SAM combat assist is quite good. All jobs are supported at this point, though some are still more complete than others. Most skills/abilities above level 70 are not yet supported, so you’ll have to weave those in yourself if you wanna optimize DPS further.

Gathering still works just like before, but with support for the new areas.

It’s a good time to come back, honestly. Still have a large amount of content ahead for this expansion.

Can I just ask, what are the items people want? for sale? for glam?

There’s different rewards every year, and people want them without the tedium of doing the same event over and over. Pretty simple.
