I don’t know how far along the developers are for the next update, but more and more it’s becoming that there will be no bot update before Endwalker is launched. Then we’ll have to wait some months to a year before the bot is fully functioning for Endwalker after it’s released.
That is the reality of the situation.

August 5, 2021 at 5:05 pm in reply to: Feature Request: (Assist Mode) Lower Priority/Ignore DoTs #31522All right, we will add your suggestion to the list of potential improvements.
Thank you for your request. Please note, however, that DoT in Samurai rotation is already set at lower priority. If there are several enemies in front of your character, Miqobot will skip Higanbana and proceed to accumulating Tenka Goken instead.
As for healers, there is a simple workaround. When you wish Miqobot to ignore DoTs, you can temporarily remove them from hotbar.
I feel like this could be improved for DRG, SAM, and even MCH. I mainly play DRG and SAM and I have noticed that both classes will just follow their single target rotation even when there are 3+ enemies bunched together. MCH is also weird with AOE as well. For some reason MCH will go into it’s single target rotation using Wildfire on a target, Heat Blast a couple times, then randomly switch to using Auto-Crossbow for the duration of Hypercharge. When it should be Auto-Crossbow from the start on AOE pulls instead of using Wildfire.
Just some thoughts. Other than that I love the work you guys do.
Is there a way to turn combat assist positional (for melee classes) on and off without having to ALT-TAB to the Miqo UI and manually unchecking the box? If not, I would love to see a feature like this in the future.
It’s pretty crazy when you face a boss that your character can’t get behind, because then Miqo will constantly try to run you off the edge of the room. I have found a temp solution and that is to hold the S key on the keyboard, while also holding both LEFT and RIGHT mouse button. This forces your character to stay in one spot and stops Miqo from moving your character when you don’t want her to.

When the Endwalker expansion arrives, it will break approximately 90% of core Miqobot modules.
We expect several weeks of complete Miqobot downtime. No feature will be functional in any form. After that, Miqobot will support only level 80 features.
It might take anywhere from 3 to 12 months before Miqobot is fully upgraded for level 90.3 months to a year before the level 90 rotations are in action? This hurts my heart. Why does it take such a long time to get these combat rotations up and running? I have botted in the past in other MMOs (WoW) with rotation bots, and even when a new expansion hit they had updated rotations within the week of the launch. They were not super optimized rotations yet, but it at least gave the consumers something to play with. Is it just because you have a super small team?
I do not want to speak for everyone, however for me its quality over quantity. What I mean by that is I would much rather have a more optimized, better implemented feature than one that could possibly break, flagging my npc as suspicious thereby getting me banned. Additionally Id rather have them spend more time implementing a new feature so that it is as bug free as possible before being released to the masses.
I really like the Miqo bot and it’s actually been part of the reason I am playing FF14 more often these days. It just sad to hear that we’ll have to wait possibly a year before the rotations are back in for level 90. I mainly just use to combat assist, I don’t really use anything else. I’ll probably continue to support them when Endwalker releases even if I can’t use the bot at the start.

I’ve been using for 2 months and I haven’t seen any threads about being banned.
I’m sure people have been banned for using the bot, but only because it was super obvious and someone reported them.
I’m under the impression that Square doesn’t really care if you bot so long as you don’t get reported from making it obvious. They’re nothing like WoW where WoW actively bans bot usage.
I did not change the targeting settings. They’re set as the default settings. Everything you said to have turned on is on.
I looked at Miqo itself and she tells me this “DEBUG: Can’t focus container number 2 in ‘ContentsFinderConfirm’ – it doesn’t exist!” Whatever that means.

Some issues I ran into with using the squadrons feature. First time using it.
At the end of the dungeon, Miqo gets stuck on targeting the loot chest rather than the exit. No matter how hard she tries, she just can’t seem to target the exit without help from you.
Also she won’t automatically queue for another trust run on her own. I’m not sure, but maybe if I move the trust icon onto my hot bar she will use it. Going to try after it finishes this run.

For tank/healer, I’m leaning towards a No for all Savages/Ultimates.
Tank swaps/busters, mitigation, situations on what to do if your co-role dies and what the upcoming mechanic is, etc. Though with echo, healer/tank could be possible, but prior to echo, I don’t think so.But for DPS, it depends…
For DPS, I would only say E9S/10S since those floors are easy.
My static managed to clear with a dps pug being dead a majority of those two fights.E11S, I’m leaning towards No, due to certain mechanics of the fights.
E12S/Ultimates, 100% NoCan you explain why you don’t think it’s good in harder content? If Miqo is 90% optimal performance out of 100%, that sounds like it’s better than your average player. Like what is stopping from using it in the hardest content in the game?
I can see why you wouldn’t want to use it on a tank/healer because ability timers. But assuming you know your class and you’re just lazy (like me). You probably could get away with using it on a tank/healer in harder content by simply utilizing the pause feature, and putting major spells you don’t want Miqo using on forbidden keybinds. Same goes for DPS.
I’ve used “assist” bots in other MMOs (WOW) and you can easily do the hardest raid content in the game using an assist bot. You just have to tweak it to not use cool downs you don’t want it to.
