Out of curiosity, is there a scenario where a moderator team could be equipped to take the reins for an extended period of time?
For the forums, yes. For the bot, no.
If it comes down to it, I will assist as much as I can, and try to create a hacky solution for the bot to keep working, but as nobody but the miqo team has access to the source code, its gonna be a lot of work to do that. The best I could do is find the new memory layout, and then try to hook into miqo to overwrite where it’s looking in the games memory, but that could very well take months to do.
The mods are just volunteers, and I’m not even a mod…I’m in contact with someone now who claims to know the devs, and who says they are fine, hiding in a shelter. Can’t confirm the truth of it, because I haven’t talked to the devs personally, but the stuff they told me matches what I know of the devs.
This is quite troubling actually. There is an information war going on on top of other things. So if someone claims that personal information has been leaked then they are actually in danger. Could you elaborate on this? How did you get in contact with that person? Are they from Ukraine too?
They are someone that had contact with the devs in the past, and has a satellite phone at their disposal. They are indeed also in Ukraine, although further north. Their claim is that they are aware of the devs location, in a shelter. Their names and address came up during the conversation I had with them, but there is no immediate threat to the devs, if that person is to be believed.

This gives us some hope about their well-being, and I will try to get in direct contact with them.
Some personal information has come up, so for the sake of privacy of all people involved, including the devs, I won’t go into details about the conversation I had (if the person told me the truth, I know the devs personal info now, and not gonna share that with anyone).Hi there, any updates in regards to progress on updates. Its now March so that’s almost 3 months after release so was just wondering how are things going?
We don’t know, there may be a long time before we hear more. The devs are most likely in Ukraine.
Activate the compass option in the gathering preset. Also make sure it’s on the skill bar.

As far as I’m aware the Miqobot dev team is from the USA. Could be wrong though. At least they work under US jurisdiction.
The website server is in the US, as is the server Miqo communicates to. The owner of the domain lives in Ukraine, unless they paid someone to be the registrant, that places them in Ukraine. They are under US jurisdiction because the servers operate there, and thus US laws apply to it.
Chances are they are hiding somewhere safe, but things do point towards them being in Ukraine.yea it places them in Vinnytsia Oblast, Ukraine. Not to sure if that’s close/far away from Kyiv or if that city is a hot zone, but I pray they’re safe
The Vinnytsia region got bombed, but not badly. It’s not the hot zone that they are in. It’s most likely they are in a shelter… It’s not ideal, but the chance of them being hurt is low.

Instead of assuming things we have no info about, we can just hope that they are safe regardless. But let’s wait on word from them before attributing the current war-crisis to this particular event.
Gotta wait for official word 🙂
I’m not jumping to conclusions, they were in Ukraine before the invasion started. The miqobot site is registered from Vinnytsia Oblast, Ukraine. With the condition of their internet atm, chances are they might not be able to reach out, and all we can do is wait.
However with the 100 per day limit, you can only go so far.
There is no 100 per day limit. I’ve ran Garuda EX over 200+ times in a day with no issues.
Maybe this is a new patch they added? Or maybe this is due to something else if anyone else has encountered this issue before.
I thought so aswell, however. I found this forum post https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/422343 indicating that it already existed 2020
It might be, that there is a limit on dungeons but not trials.
Can run into it with lots of trials too, but that seems to be at 200, rather than 100.
