I’m receiving the following error while playing DRK:
Line 16613: Array variable has incorrect number of subscripts or subscript dimension range exceeded.
So far have had it pop up in a Stone Vigil squadron, Sohm Al scenario, and while in assist mode in the open world.
Have to second this error as well, been getting it randomly in those instances as mentioned above as well.
why is the squadron dungeons just making my character stand there and do nothing but rotate the screen left and right? it don’t move my character, don’t select skills to be used against monsters when attacking, ONLY thing it does is tell my squadron party to attack.
What does your log say when you run squadron? I am running it at the moment and there’s no issue on my side?
I realized there seems to be an issue with combat assist in Amarout. If you pause it and then resume it in the last phase of the dungeon (the last stretch before the final boss), Miqobot will stop working.
Yes, we have managed to reproduce this issue a while ago.
- It happens under very rare circumstances due to a bug in the game client, which allows the Cast Bar to remain active (albeit invisible) if it is interrupted by a cutscene, a loading screen, or in another non-standard way.
- In addition, another bug may occur randomly wherein the Cast Bar would indicate that it’s not interrupted and is still proceeding normally.
- When both of these bugs occur at the same time, it affects Miqobot’s ability to identify the Cast Bar correctly. She assumes that a cast is still in progress and therefore does not attempt to perform another action.
In order to recover from this problem, all you have to do is initiate the cast manually once. It doesn’t matter what ability to cast, even a simple Return will work. You can immediately interrupt it by moving.
The purpose of this action is to trigger the normal behavior of the Cast Bar, which will allow Miqobot to identify it properly once again. As this issue is extremely hard to reproduce, it will take some time for us to design a proper solution.
In the meantime, if you encounter this problem again please use the workaround described above.Otherwise, just tried out 80 BRD — works amazing! The only thing missing is Shadowbite and Apex Arrow (which is understandable because the rotation is only up till 70), but those are quite easy work in with Miqobot’s assist mode.
Shadowbite is implemented in this release. Could you please confirm that it’s not triggered under correct conditions?
Ah! You are right, it turned out it wasn’t going off for some weird reason in the first run I tried it… but the second time I run it to test what you said about Amarout, it turned out to work. Thank you for the workaround as well. 🙂
Quick update on SCH 80 (I know this is WIP, but for our healers main out there that are anxious to know how Miqobot is doing…):
– This update is SO much better than the last. Aetherflow gauge is now being used properly and Miqobot no longer spams Energy Drain immediately. As a result, you can see the bot using Lustrate as it should
– Miqobot no longer is as Succor as happy as the last update, but will use Adloquium and Lustrate/Physick combo more often
– Excognition will now be used when there is a target below 40%-ish
– Of course, since this is still WIP, all faerie functions are still not implemented — but no sweat there, not too bad to juggle that into the rotation 🙂
– As it should (in my opinion), sacred soil is manual as well, but I don’t really see how Miqobot can auto that
– All situational buffs like Chain Strategem, Deployment Tactics, Dissipation, and Emergency Tactics are also not implemented, so pop them when needed
– DPS-wise, Miqobot functions perfectly and uses the correct spells in the correct situationsAll in all, amazing stuff so far! Even though I know healer roles are only half-implemented. 🙂

That’s… some really bad stats. Though one thing about those death, I used to die a lot until I changed my healer to defensive. This makes them heal A LOT more regularly, which is probably needed to compensate for the AI.
Try that out and see if it improves your death rate. I barely die ever since making that change. 🙂
Edit: On a second thought, Miqobot explained it pretty well.

they can take my 10 USD every single month without any complaints.
I’ve spend more on less. For 10€ I probably saved myself already over 150hours of grind time in a month.
Amen man.
Well, I’ll start elaborating on how I bot and why I bot:
1. Crafting:
When it comes to crafting, it is simple. I have currently Best in Slot gear, minus the melds on tools and the last slot on accessories. With that I can easily craft anything that exists in this game and it is not a challenge anymore. All, Miqobot does, is relieving me from that unnecessary button press every 30 seconds to start the next macro and I can do something else, instead of wasting my time with something that I will succeed in 100% of the time with 0% chance of failure and zero amount of effort put in, besides an annoying button press.Gold Saucer farming:
I already played and won every minigame in the Gold Saucer. Chocobo Racing is a faceroll for me, because I have a Chocobo with max stats, max pedigree and a super-sprint build, so Chocobo racing also only consists of starting the race, pressing one button and always winning by default. So grinding MGP is just a boring timesink, which is why I let Miqo do that for me, while I have better stuff to do.3. Combat assist
I only use combat assist in Eureka and maybe Palace of the Dead, when I’m playing Redmage. Redmage in my opinion is the most boring, but at the same most efficient job for playing these two kinds of content. On top of that, those two contents are the most repetitive grind every and I’d like to preserve my controller buttons, which is why I let Miqo do this grindy rotation spam in these two situations.4. Farming materials from timed nodes
I could also do this easily myself, but it is annoying to teleport to an area, mine a node for a few hits, wait 10 minutes and repeat. Either way I’m getting my mats and that can also be done by Miqo, instead of having to take my attention for 30 seconds every 10 minutes.Other than that I don’t use Miqo for any other feature.
Just going to +1 on this — while I haven’t completed everything I wanted to complete, I am using Miqobot to cover for the grindier portions of the game. Arc covers it super well on what I use it to cover for as well.
To be honest, I don’t really know how productive this thread is going to be, considering how we actually ended up in this topic. Just to add two more cents from the previous discussion, I don’t think any of the functions that Miqobot has spent their time on has been useless at all. In fact, all of them are so wonderfully great that I can’t think of anything to complain about at all. If they simply keep up with pure maintenance on the core functions, they can take my 10 USD every single month without any complaints.
(of course, level 80 combat assist is my preferred thing to work on just because sometimes I get too tired to grind dungeons out, so I’d love to be able to put that on in higher level dungeons too, but that’s just me :P)
lol logistics dude. As Carl mentioned, the current purpose of desynthesis is to reduce item wastage/bloating in game. So players don’t feel like they are just tossing trash out (since some items can’t be turned into GC and even then you might have maxed out on that). While it does get profitable from time to time because that’s how FFXIV works, it wasn’t going to be something that you grind so you can make an immediate profit. Mostly this is because there were outrages by the community previously, but I won’t delve too much in history. So it is very unlikely SE will go backwards and do something for desynthesis anytime soon.
There are other ways to make gil at the moment, do that instead.
Perhaps I should have used the analogy of this being like using FATE to grind for levels. :p

I think that’s the thing — it isn’t a complete toss out in balance since neither of us is power leveling desynthesis. New players like me and old players like Carl finds that function completely fine as it is. As mentioned by the other more regular members of this forum, SE focuses on players that enjoy the on-and-off route (as noted by Yoshida talking about how he never intends for his players to sub to FFXIV continuously for years). And that’s always going to be the focus for FFXIV’s development team.
Don’t get me wrong, if you find this unfitting for your purposes on making gil then it probably isn’t. It is sort of like how there is a very specific method of power leveling with dungeons vs POTD vs squadron, but some people will choose what is slightly less inefficient depending on their enjoyment of the task.
