Russkiy mir happened. Russia destroyed power plants in Ukraine and Miqo devs cant post updates anymore. And without updates theres not much to discuss. So these forums will simply die.

This is what happens to everything russia touches.

I wouldn’t say the forums will die. Expect the forums to be sort of busy by early January when patch 6.3 lands, with folks asking when there will be an update, even though they themselves already knows exactly the answer.

There is a lot done by Miqo with its current working status. Sure, many folks are still waiting updates to classes living in the lvl80 days, some new classes or those classes completely changed and unplayable as of today (SGE/SMN, looking at you both). Maybe some more modern duties/alternatives to run with trusts/duty support as well. However, Final Fantasy 14 as a game is somewhat quiet as well.

Now, the forums won’t die until folks are still using Miqo. This place is a treasure trove of scenarios, navigation, waypoints, gathering and crafting data you don’t get with the base Miqo: those are all community driven data that can only be found here. Unless SqE updates things, all that’s working today will keep working, so Miqo users are just busy using what is already out here.

And back to your opening statement, quiet forums is a blessing in disguise for Miqo developers. Hope Russia realizes the world has changed, and they should look for other ways to be proud of, instead of trying to change the future by going back to the past and claim glory by blood.

While this scenario is very helpful, worth noting it assumes the player is on higher Island ranks. A lot of the paths from the scenario are going in between waypoints with cliffs up or are just over the mountain you won’t have access until later in the ranks.

I am not seeing goToWaypoint in there

If your navigation route has a beacon, you don’t have to use goToWaypoint: you navigate to the nearby area and the bot ensures it goes where the gathering item is at.

Your scenario script should looks like this:

    teleportIfNotThere(Aetherite-Name) // Where should I go?
grid(my-navigation-grid) // Which navigation routes should I follow?
    job(MIN) // Which job should I use?
gatherPreset(my-gather-preset) // Which items should I go after?
rotationIfGP(my-rotation) // Which rotation should I use for gathering?
gatherSlot(1) // Which item slot should I gather?
    afkUntil(00:01ET) // When should I start?
workUntil(01:50ET) // When should I give up this gathering job?
gather(1) // Go gather if everything above is met

You can use more than one rotation, and the bot will use whatever suits your highest GP points. Everything else should be unique.

Been using Miqobot to keep all my classes at roughly the same level because leveling alts REALLY isn’t enjoyably in this game. and to keep them funded.

Happy that the devs are safe but fuuuuck. Not gonna keep playing FFXIV without a bot.

Unless you are botting under a month, you are doing something very, very wrong. It took me under 2 months to get all the battle jobs to lvl90 (ranging from lvl1 – never started – to lvl70 – sage/reaper). Crafting jobs is so brainless today you don’t even need a bot to do leves. Gathering has plenty of script profiles out there that would get them up to lvl90 in no time either.

And sorry, but the game IS enjoyable without a bot. Miqo only helps with speeding things up.

We are working to fix Miqobot for Patch 6.08 Maintenance.
However, there are constant air-raid sirens therefore the progress is very slow.

Sh!t dude. I’ve read IT folks were still working from Ukraine after coming home from defending the country in war zones, but you to still maintaining a game bot is mind blowing. I guess people around the world, me included, have a lot to learn from you guys. Respect, and Slave Ukraini!

If this info is legit it’s both troubling and reassuring to hear that the devs are in a shelter in the Ukraine right now.
I really hope that this whole situation resolves soon and the devs stay well.

As for the bot breaking: It’s extremely likely that the bot won’t work at all once the hotfix drops, because it won’t recognize the game anymore. Pretty much everything will be down for sure, so I recommend doing everything you want with it for now, as long as you still have the time for it.

Any chance, as a moderator, you could edit my original post to include this into #5? Somehow I was focused on one thinking and completely forgot about patches as a reason about why or when the bot would stop working. Thanks!

They are someone that had contact with the devs in the past, and has a satellite phone at their disposal. They are indeed also in Ukraine, although further north. Their claim is that they are aware of the devs location, in a shelter. Their names and address came up during the conversation I had with them, but there is no immediate threat to the devs, if that person is to be believed.

If they are safe, that is all we should care. Be their identity true or false, let this info be unknown to others and to be forgotten by everyone. Should they want to be known, they would do it.

Make sure you add the path either over or behind the nodes. Sometimes moving her while in front gets her stuck. I’ve seen a few mining places in Ultima Thule where she gets stuck, no matter what – so she may need a push every now and then.

How could one help with the development of more supported instances for combat? Since the assist feature takes care of all of the combat and navigation is available as part of the gathering, both could be extended for the combat section. As all duties are timed events, it leaves room for use of key combinations (such as the Ctrl during navigation map edit) to input things such as where your char needs to move or facing a certain direction, for instance.

Of course, this won’t be easier and doable for 100% of duties, but it certainly gives us a lot of flexibility while reducing the dependency on the Miqo team.

And I’ll be more than happy to help out.
