Really? This is going a bit far.
Someone who’s a moderator is most likely one out of voluntarily applying for it. The Miqo Team are the developers, Arc is likely just another customer, (s)he just has more responsibilities because (s)he was assigned as a Moderator (probably because of consistently being helpful and levelheaded in the forums)This is precisely how it is. I applied for this job as a moderator voluntarily, because I wanted to alleviate unnecessary chore work from the Miqobot devs, which wastes time they could instead spend on focusing more on tech support, feature development & research. Stuff like keeping the Index for Scenarios and Gathering grids up to date for example is what I do.
I’m no authority or anything else. Most stuff I write here is based upon my personal experience and observation of both the community and dev posts over the years. So yeah, basically I am just another user here like everyone else. The only difference is, that I can edit posts & lock/unlock threads to keep stuff organized.
So the best analogy to what I am, would be the forum janitor.
I disagree with your assumption. Arc’s post is worth more as a moderator
Not really. My word has just as much weight as yours. I am just talking out of experience and based on previous posts from the official Miqo devs.
and I felt most of the replies were written in a way to deter further discussion of the subject by reinstating the original intentions of the bot etc.
I’m sorry that it sounded like that. I was merely explaining how things roll around here, and what the majority of the community thinks from my observations. We also had experience with people who joined the forums with the intention of lobbying for the interests of people who want to use the bot as a tool for RMT.
Of course, they were absolutely free to use the bot for whatever their intention was, even for RMT, but they learned quickly, that Miqobot is an application made by players for players, not by a company for profit-oriented botting. There is a certain core idea what Miqobot is intended for, and so far the overwhelming majority of the community supports this idea.
Of course, if the majority suddenly wanted Miqobot to become a RMT tool or a cheating tool, the Devs will probably try to cater towards that eventually, but until now the majority of the community has been supporting Miqobot’s original core idea.If its of any consequence having had time to read many posts on the forum and get an idea of the community here I’m resigned to no PVP support as it is clear its not particularly wanted by the vast majority and that’s totally fine. I will just look elsewhere for that while continuing to enjoy miqobot for the features it does offer since its incredibly cheap imo.
Well either way there wouldn’t have been any consequences to begin with. You are absolutely free to voice your opinion in any way here and say what you would like to have.
I’m crossing my fingers for you that you find something great and useful to use for PvP, and hope you’ll enjoy the benefits Miqobot offers to you 🙂July 26, 2021 at 10:57 am in reply to: any tips on which classes to focus on to make steady gil? #31300The 2 steadiest gil sources I have found so far are:
– Alchemist: Grade 4 Tinctures (basically the highest level buff pot)
– Gatherers in general: Gather in the diadem via scenario.
The materials you gather can be sold on the MB once approved at the NPC. I sell the mats that sell for more than 100 gil each, and since you can gather 2 or so stacks of each mat in the scenario per day it’s around 1-5 million gil just the mats. The skybuilders scrips I turn in for gear, which sells somewhere in the 300-600k range, as people love that glamour.
So 1 day of diadem gathering nets me anywhere between 5-10 million gil.Yeah, as Vixen said, and as I said it’s not a voting thread, because a voting thread would imply “if this gets more votes it will be implemented”.
You are free to voice your opinion, and it will be added to the pool of opinions that are considered here on the forums, and the tech support. What I am saying is just, that the Miqobot Devs are concerned about the general idea of PvP, and that as it is now, the massive majority of people that have voiced their opinion yet aren’t only not interested, but actively reject the idea of a PvP function. And the reasoning behind this is, because as I explained before, Miqobot is intended as a friendly tool to alleviate tedious grind. It is neither intended as a tool for commercial RMT sellers to make tons of gil to sell for realm money (they are free to use Miqobot for that, but they can’t expect to get features catered towards them), and it is not intended as a tool for giving people a gameplay performance advantage like a form of cheat.
That’s just my take on the matter and me giving you some info. It doesn’t change the fact that you are free to voice your opinion and that it will be, like all of them considered 🙂
It’s not an official voting thread, although Miqobot does consider all opinions voiced in both the forums and in Support E-Mails.
Also, just as a little reminder, about the general issue:
Miqobot has always been intended as a bot for automating tedious grind that doesn’t hurt anybody (crafting, gathering, currency farming, etc.) – NOT as a cheat engine that gives you a performance advantage in direct confrontation content (PvP & competitive savage raiding). It is intended as a friendly tool to alleviate tedious content anyone can easily do, but is simply exhausting to do over the course of several hours.
That is also the reason why the combat system is not going to be (or at least it is not planned) optimized to a point, where it executes borderline perfect rotations that can compete with 99 percentile parsers, and no plans for savage automation are made so far (at least based on my point of information so far).
Combat is optimized to run well. Pretty well. But not on a competitive peak level, and this is not the intention either. The people that want to bot PVP will do it regardless if miqo offers it or if they have to use a competitor.
That’s not the issue, and as it has been said several times already, Miqobot and the majority of the community don’t want PVP support implemented into Miqobot, because it draws too much unwanted attention to the bot, which could very likely lead to Square Enix actively going against Miqobot.
And we don’t want that kind of attention. If players are botting PVP either way, and then go to the competitor for PVP Botting, let them go to the competitor, and let the competitor get sued by Square Enix.
That’s my opinion on the matter.Honestly, Make it Rain is the most dangerous period of time to farm MGP with Miqobot.
I myself got a 3 day ban once, although I gotta admit I’ve been farming for an entire weekend, unattended. So if you wanna farm MGP during Make it Rain, you should most definitely do so only while keeping an eye on the game (maybe while watching Netflix or something), and not for extended periods of time.
Outside of Make it Rain, I’ve never had any issues farming MGP for extended periods of time.As you can see in the thread Upcoming Features is number 5 on the list of upcoming tasks.
Miqobot does not have a big development team like a large gaming company, so they’re working at once piece of content at a time, else it would take way too long for them to release one set of features. Currently they are working on the QoL updates, as this was voted top priority by the forum community in a recent poll. It’s somewhat of a kinda lengthy process you have to do once. You need to rank up your grand company rank to maximum to unlock Grand Company Squadrons.
The fastest way to rank up in the grand company is grinding grand company hunting log, Leveling Roulette with a preferred class, FATEs and guildleves (found in many ARR zones), until you reach the 6th rank (Sergeant Third Class). Once you reached that rank you can get grand company seals via green/pink/blue items that you turn in at the Grand Company. Primal Weapons from Heavensward primals are currently dirt cheap (especially the Sophia weapons. just search for goddess on the MB) and they’re an easy way to cap your GC seals to rank up faster.
Once you have reached the max possible rank a quest will pop up in your grand company to unlock squadrons. Once you’ve unlocked them you need to recruit a new member. You get member recruitments by doing your challenge log (it’s rng). Fastest way would be to go to the gold saucer, win 10 triple triad matches, do a few minigames, and by then you usually have a new recruit.
Afterwards you need to level up your squadron members by sending them away on missions or doing training sessions (can do 3 per day).
Once you can form a normal party (1 tank, 1 healer, 2 dps) with squadron members that are level 20 or higher, you can do dungeons with them, and use some of the Scenarios found in here.
As a player I would also vote for the QoL Updates first.
I am pretty sure that the community – me included – is already eagerly awaiting these features for quite a while now, and would be happy, if they could finally be realized, especially since some features like global pause have been requested for years already. When those are done, my second vote would go for Gathering Updates, since those gathering conditions would make gathering incredibly more efficient.
Third place for me goes to Scenario Engine Update, even though this will probably be done second, considering the votes so far. I am fine with that as well though 🙂
I also was wishing for Triple Triad for a while, but I’m not voting for it, because there’s already Triad Buddy which already solves TT pretty well, based on the cards you have (though you must input all your cards manually once). Yes, it doesn’t work against players in tournaments, but I’m 100% sure that based on our philosophy Miqobot will not implement Triple Triad PvP support and even go so far as to implement a kill switch if someone attempts to use it against players, as any pvp feature is a blood red flag for Miqobot since it massively attracts negative attention, just like the market board automation bots did recently on the official subreddit.
I dont think there will be a Lvl 82 dungeon but next level would be 83. Since Heavensward the Dungeon levels have been 51/53/55/57/59 and their respective levels for Stormblood and Shadowbringers. Given that many parts of the game are predictable based on past behavior of the devs, its safe to assume that this pattern will stay.
Yeah, it was a typo. I was talking about level 85 dungeon.
So as I said, 81>90>85 dungeon as the order. As a Miqobot user my personal vote on this topic would be a bit more precise. In terms of dungeon support for Trusts, I’d love if the order in which dungeons are made for the Trust combat assist would be the following:
1. Level 81 dungeon: Just so we can automate leveling with efficient content in general, and also because level 81 rotations shouldn’t take that long to implement compared to level 90 rotations.
2. Beta Level 90 dungeon: Because Tomestone farming is a major nuissance that should be possible to tackle asap. It doesn’t need to have level 90 rotations, but should be doable with level 81 rotations.
3. Level 82 dungeon: In my opinion the support for a level 85 dungeon is just QoL, as it makes the level grind process quicker. With leveling in general (lvl 81 dungeon) and tomestone farming (level 90 dungeon) out of the way, the level grind can be made more efficient by implementing that dungeon. -
