According to my knowledge Miqobot has some form of Anti-Cheat implemented.
There have been several occasions of people complaining on the forums about getting their license key revoked, their money refunded and their IP banned, only to result in Miqobot clearing that up, that those people have been attempting to reverse-engineer the bot and got auto-banned from the server. This is also the reason why there is no more free trial of Miqobot. Too many people have attempted to reverse-engineer the trial version to cheat themselves out of the monthly sub.
Something to keep in mind.
No, this feature has not yet been implemented, and the community voted against this feature a while back, because it is too risky and therefore might draw too much attention towards Miqobot.
Since that vote there has been barely any talk about that feature, and the only thing that would lead to development of that feature would be a shift in the community’s demands to implement it. On top of that, the Miqobot Dev team is currently not able to keep working on Miqobot (or in a barely limited scope), since they are from the Ukraine and suffer from recent irl events.
Also I like to remind people who are thinking about jumping ship to a different bot, do your research the chances of them being based in Russia are probably pretty high and I don’t think anyone wants to be supporting that country in any shape or form right now.
Despite the current situation I would still beg to differ between the Russian government and the people in Russia. A huge amount of people in Russia strongly oppose the decisions of the Kremlin and suffer under the sanctions placed upon Russia due to the acts of their government.
If this info is legit it’s both troubling and reassuring to hear that the devs are in a shelter in the Ukraine right now.
I really hope that this whole situation resolves soon and the devs stay well.As for the bot breaking: It’s extremely likely that the bot won’t work at all once the hotfix drops, because it won’t recognize the game anymore. Pretty much everything will be down for sure, so I recommend doing everything you want with it for now, as long as you still have the time for it.
What I can tell you for sure is:
The Miqobot team operates in accordance to the laws of the United States (and not any other country). The Miqobot server is also located in the United States.
That’s all I can say though. I don’t know if or if not the team, or any member of the Miqobot dev team is in any way affected by the war in the Ukraine.Either way, most of the time the Miqobot team has their hands full with hundreds and hundreds of people asking for tech support via e-mail, which is one of the main factors that delay releases.
If you just want to grind the AR-Caean Cotton you don’t need a scenario, but a gathering grid. There’s already a grid made by anahita. You can find it in the Gathering Grids index thread:
FATE farming, also know as open world combat automation was deemed too dangerous to be automated by the majority of the Miqobot community, which is why there are no plans to implement this right now. So unless there is a shift in the communty’s opinion and demand for it increases significantly, this feature is not being developed.
On top of that the combat system in general is currently just barely working due to Endwalker release. The way Miqobot features like new combat actions are developed is that the dev team levels every job themselves, learns how to play them, and then, when they understand how to play the job, they develop the algorithm for combat assist.
Due to long login queues and all other features with higher priority needing to be fixed first, the Miqobot devs have not yet had the time to level combat jobs, and it might still take a while for them to do that.Alright, I’ve added all new regular node grids so far.
Gonna do the Folklore and Collectable nodes soon as well.A quick note from myself though:
If you want to make my job easier, it would be super cool if you created entirely new threads for gathering grids as well just like for scenarios, instead of posting in this thread, because it works better for my way to organize things. You don’t need to do this and it’s not a problem if you keep posting grids here, but it would be more comfortable for me to have threads instead of posts back to back 🙂Thanks everyone for sharing your grids, and keeping this community strong!
Yes, this is expected behaviour.
Miqobot uses functions that Anti-Virus softwares find suspicious, and pretty much every game or software use these kinds of functions too, but usually most companies report their programs to the Anti-Virus companies long in advance so they’re not detected as possible threats.
However, AV-companies often take very long to whitelist stuff and it’s often very troublesome, which is why Miqo doesn’t bother with that anymore and people are just instructed to whitelist Miqo, as this behaviour is expected. As far as I understood Miqobot doesn’t really “look” at what graphics are visually displayed for the icons, but rather reads what icons (filenames) are loaded, and the MaterialUI mod replaces the graphics of some icons alone without changing their file names.
That’s why Miqobot can use actions on hidden hotbars as well.So far I never had any problems using Miqobot at all, even though I’ve always been using Material UI since it was first released (and also with 4k icons as well).
