I downloaded one of the presets for copper ore. I went on the navigation and selected it. After that I went to Gathering tab and pressed start but nothing happens. All I get is a message that says Switch Control Settings to Legacy Type, please. :3. How do I switch it to legacy type? Or am I also forgetting something to do in order for it to work? I only used fishing so far and it gave me no problems

By notification I mean like the “Crafting Done!” notification when you do crafting, which I understand would stop her from working. Having a toggle option is perfect, since sometimes I want to find certain fish and stop, and sometimes I just want to continue fishing for more without input.

We would like to clarify first. You want Miqobot to completely stop any actions when a specified event during fishing occurs. Is this correct?

For example, with the release of Scenario Engine you will be able to setup Miqobot to move between fishing spots and follow specific time and weather conditions for different fish. If a notification pops up, it will completely freeze Miqobot and prevent her from following the Scenario any further and therefore she might miss the rest of time windows.

We will implement this option as an advanced feature which can be turned on and off. Will this be acceptable?

I have been hunting for the titanic sawfish for what seems like ages, and I would love to see Miqobot pause autofishing and give a notification if I catch one. Not just the sawfish, but any fish the player specifies (similar to how the player can specify certain things to gather when doing the autogather).

Thank you for confirming that Japanese Locale is indeed causing this issue.

We have sent you a diagnostics build of Miqobot by email.
Could you please try it out and check whether Collectable Fishing works properly now on Japanese locale?

Please follow these steps:

1. Switch you System Locale back to Japanese.
2. Start Japanese client of the game.
3. Start Miqobot v1.2.47 – Diagnostics: Japanese Locale.
4. Setup and start Fishing collectables as you did before.

Does Miqobot recognize collectables properly?

This diagnostics build is supposed to fix the problem with Unicode parsing algorithm that makes Miqobot see Collectability as 0.
However, you may still encounter garbled characters in the Output Area which you have seen before. The problem with displaying fish names properly on Japanese locale is a little harder to fix, so we will be investigating this further.

But the Main issue with detecting collectability number should be fixed.

We couldn’t reproduce your issue in our labs, so we would ask you to provide more information.
Please answer these questions:

1. What Windows version do you use?
2. What Display Language is in use on your system?
3. What Keyboard Layout Language is in use on your system?
4. What Language for non-Unicode programs is in use on your system (also known as System Locale)?

If the answer to above questions is Japanese, then please try this solution:

• Open Control Panel
• Open ‘Region and Language’ window
• Switch to ‘Administrative’ tab
• Press ‘Change system locale…’ button
• In dropdown list, select ‘English (United States)’
• Press OK
• Press Apply
• Restart your PC

After this, start the Japanese client of the game and start Miqobot.
Does Collectable fishing work now?

As with any other issue, we would ask to provide as much information as you can.

Most likely, there is a program installed on your machine that interferes with shortcuts on a system level.
Applications like Photoshop, Monosnap, and many others are known to register their keybinds in the system whenever they are active.

As @ramen suggested, could you try reproducing this issue with other Miqobot features?

• Do Fishing abilities work correctly?
• Does Miqobot use skills in Chocobo Racing correctly?
• Do Macros work correctly?
  For example, if you input ctrl + alt + shift + 1 in macro box (instead of using Crafting Solver), does it fire every time?

Also, please answer these questions in order to provide more information about your issue:

• Do you have any applications running that may interfere with keyboard shortcuts?
• Does this issue happen only when Miqobot is running in background?
• What happens when you press the corresponding shortcut yourself?
  Not with a mouse, but pressing the exact Ctrl-Alt-Shift- combination by hand.
  Is it recognized by the game correctly?
• What is your FPS?
  If game performance drops below 10 FPS, it may lead to unexpected behaviour.
• Do you run the game in Fullscreen or in Windowed mode? Have you tried switching between them and see if it helps?
• Have you tried minimizing your game window completely?
• Which method do you use for switching between windows?
  Do you use Alt-Tab, Win-Tab, or mouse click on taskbar? Have you tried using each of them separately and see if it causes the issue?
• On the 2nd screenshot we see that you use Cross Hotbars. Have you tried disabling them temporarily?
• What Windows version do you use?
• Have you installed any Windows updates recently?

No idea from me. I cannot replicate your issue. For me, skills assigned to 1 through 5 when crafting are used successfully.

Just as a thought, do you have a similar issue with skills assigned to 1 through 5 while Fishing?

Is there a release date on questing? only part im intressted in besides fishing

I absolulty love this feature.
Imagin you craft 20x 60*. That takes about 20 min. Now what do you do in the time? Watch some videos play a round FFXIII or just work on Desktop. This Notification puts itself in the foreground and you know Miqo is done. Same with 50min fishing seassions. So pls never remove this.

As Kamineko86 stated, using either Precision or Powerful (or both) will activate the first tier of patience. The only way it will use patience 2 is if you specifically select it. As a side note, should you choose BOTH precision and Powerful hooksets, Miqobot is smart enough to know when to use each one so she won’t user powerful on a tiny fish and visa versa. It’s pretty smart.

If you do not select either power or precision, she will not use patience one or two.

How come there is no option to use patience 1?

@mithralover is correct. That will be a scenario thing. For now you can use the fishing bot to gather Illuminati Perch if you have a fisher high enough.
