FINAL FANTASY XIV will stop you from fishing after about 50 minutes sitting at the same fishing spot (even if you ask Miqobot to fish for 99 minutes).
This is an anti-bot feature.

You have to move a bit to continue, and if you insist too much, you’ll have to go to another fishing spot, to catch there one fish, before you can come back to your previous fishing spot.

You can easily create scenarios with Miqobot, where you’ll make her move 2 times in the same spot after 45 min, and where you’ll make her move a third time in another spot to catch one fish, so you reset the game protection, and make her come back.

You can use a scenario in order to do this, but fishing spots “wear out” so to speak after casting there for a while (I think it’s 45 minutes). You get the message about the fish catching on to this spot and that they have moved elsewhere. When this happens you can no longer catch fish in that spot and have to move away from there.

But if you wanted to do this, you could create a grid and teleports in the scenario to switch spots every so often. Scenarios have a “?” up top by Start and Next, click that for help on which functions do what and the syntax.

For an example, something like this would work.

Chapter 1

teleportIf(where you want to go to fish first)
Grid(Name of Grid you created)
Waypoint(which waypoint on grid to go to)

Chapter 2
fish(40)

Chapter 3

teleportIf(where you want to go to fish next)
Grid(Name of Grid you created)
Waypoint(which waypoint on grid to go to)

Chapter 4
fish(40)

Chapter 5

teleportIf(New Gridania)
Grid(Name of Grid you created)
Waypoint(waypoint by the repair NPC)
RepairNPC()

Chapter 6
repeatAll(amount of times you want this whole scenario to repeat)

Expanding on this, if in the future something could be implemented for gathering as well based on gathering node proc’s:

If +2 / +1 node attemts then do xxx rotation. This would make gathering and efficiently spending GP a breeze.

In short term if fishing is expanded with ShB skills we really need options akin to Veteran Trade for spearfishing to make good use of Surface slap or Identical cast.

Grids are available for all Tincture Mats.
Aethersands are fastest with spearfishing, I posed a scenario for those.

Decided to raise fishing as well… and noticed that Miqo never uses Powerful Hookset when tiny fish bites. Well, in most cases it’s logical, but sometimes tiny fish such as Blueclaw Shrimp is also levequest fish, so I’d like to catch it HQ as well, even if it means spending GPs on it. Is there any way to force Miqo to use Powerful Hookset for any fish, tiny included?

Spearfishing Grids for Lakeland’s 3 Spearfishing areas.

Lv 70 Northeast Source
Lv 75 Southeast Source
Lv 75 Isle of Ken

Presets included aimed at 3 sets of Leve fish: Purple Ghost (NE Source), Geayi (SE Source), Finned Eggplant (Isle). They will Vet Trade the other fish at the node. Either modify or remove from the text file if you don’t want them.

No beacons. Make sure Shark Eye is on your bars. No Cordials. Mount use entirely.

Do you see a spearfishing node on your minimap? If not then Miqo cant see it too. You can enable compass in Miqo settings which will make her use Shark Eye. Make sure its on your hotbar.

Looking at the grid, 0, 1, 2, etc all start around the aetheryte and it goes out the ceiling into the water and out to a certain spot… so I THINK it starts by the aetheryte. In a response to the guy posting the fishing script it says you have to have flying unlocked to go out the ceiling so I think I’m starting at the right place. (not 100% sure because I’m a noob)

You need to go to the specific fishing location, not just the nearest aetheryte, grids dont work that way. So for the ruby depths you need to fly/swim south of tamamizu until you find the specific fishing spot.

Furthermore, the Max node count needs to be incresead, its set to 0 so it’ll stop after 1 node.

Hello there!

Thanks to other talented people on the Miqo Forums, I have managed to get quite a few resources with these Scenarios in a short amount of time. All of them I ran for at least 12 hours straight, they work perfectly. Might not the be the prettiest scenario (given that I am an absolute newbie at this), but it will do the work. Any improvements posted are always welcome!

This includes:

A:
Spearfishing in Il Mheg for Scuroglow and Chiaroglow Aethersands (Currently it doesnt fly you there. Start either at the top of the lake or bottom depending on the sand you are looking for. Scuroglow is at the bottom, Chiaroglow is at the top of the lake.)
It will use Veteran Trade on the most common fishes in order to eliminate them. Identical Gig is not yet available so this is our best option.

Top of the lake: Above the castle.
Bottom of the lake: Below the castle.

B:
5.0 Legendary Nodes with 750 GP gathering rotation, I changed it so it doesn’t look for collectables anymore, instead it tries to get the maximum amount of raw materials. Materials form these will be used in the first master books for the first crafted gear of Shadowbringers. Fully automated thanks to the originally author, I only changed the gathering rotation for it. Currently the 750 GP rotation is the best we have as Pick Clean hasnt been added yet.
The scenario will use Cordials after each gather due to the amount of GP used. My key for cordials is “G”.
