I am most likely gonna work on a diadem grid. But probably wont finish before the rankings are done.
Diadem grids have almost 400 branches
In my first attempt, which I’ve done prior to the new patch, I had almost 750 grid points and over 2000 connection lines. It was working really good, I could start it from any point, with 3 simple lines in scenario or just using the gathering tab. And the movement looked super clean. Then after around 10-20min, I would have gone into the diademBoom section and repeated it. I also could make it work that I gather the elemental nodes with the correct job depending on the weather.
However the downside was, that miqo was taking longer to calculate the best route (around 2-4 seconds sometimes), as there were a lot of possible routes to take and also everytime I choose this grid it will take 5-20 seconds to apply it. That hopefully wont be a problem now, as I made a lot of unnecessary points and lines, which I can omit on the new one, without sacrificing the natural looking movement.
Well since diademBoom() is a scenario thing i think the best approach is to split the whole grid in separate chunks and work on them separately. When you enter Diadem theres one miner node spawned directly to the right. And it spawns the next 8 nodes in a chain.
I think this is kinda the best way if you want to create a grid for specific routes (which are still there, just in reverse to the prior iteration, at least for miner). As you then can adjust the movement path to look natural, it’s easier to maintain and also the grid loading times will be a lot less.
However I will definitely try to make a more generic grid where you don’t need a specific scenario for. But that will take some time. For my first prototype (the one I mentioned above) it took me about 14-18 hours to just make the grid and then some more hours to heavily test and adjust it^^
Thank you! I mean I do have enough stats for it. 430 gear melded. 758 gp
Can you also add a Fireheart Cobalt to the list? Or can I do it myself?
It doesn’t depend on your GP-Count. If you don’t have enough perception (or however the stat in english is called), you sometimes get no HQ-Chance by the gathering point effect or just cause you just haven’t enough perception at all. In any case it results in 0% HQ-Chance which makes Pick Clean unusable.
Fireheart Cobalt and Imperial Fern are already added (read the Description of the Post). For easiest usage, see here: https://miqobot.com/forum/forums/topic/scenario-5-3-recipe-gathering-mats/page/2/#post-23761

Don’t just read the last line. Miqo tells you, that she needs the teleport skill on your hotbar.
File that under “things I wish the game actually told me” then… it’s a sizable list, unfortunately. I’d been thinking that 100% durability was the max and manually repairing would waste any excess, so I kept manual repairs for when I was in the field and needed to fix something that’d gotten heavily damaged. And then I got better gear and kept hitting the menders every time I passed one and doing my crafting in front of them and basically stopped carrying dark matter at all.
Actually the game tells you that via a tutorial text popup. It should be called something like “condition of self repaired armor” or similar. Not sure if some npc tell it to you aswell, so you might disabled tutorial popups and never got it.
So I did let miqo run for some time with the versatile lure. And I came to at least some results.
For every 30 minutes fishing interval:
63 Fish - 5 Crabs ( 7.9%) 70 Fish - 7 Crabs (10.0%) 65 Fish - 10 Crabs (15.4%) --------------------------- 66 Fish - 6 Crabs ( 9.1%) (without Snagging) 68 Fish - 3 Crabs ( 4.4%) (without Snagging)
So I think it’s kinda ok to say, that the rate for bluecrabs with versatile lure is around 10% with the Scenario setup. I just lost 1 bait during those 5 intervals. Not the most efficient thing to do, but you basically don’t need to farm anything for it to run.
During testing, I found the rate for blues with squid to be around 30%. Of course this can be different for a lot of reasons on CBH, as you mentioned being that people reset their hooks or using identical cast to guarantee the next fish to be bluecrab aswell.
However, if you want to save gil and/or don’t want to be dependent on the market, I think it’s still better to just fish them yourself. Also this increases your emotional bonding, which results in gathering materia, which of course could sell really good aswell.
Anyway, the scenario could be way better, if I could use timing options and/or identical cast options for hook and double hook, yeah.
For the bait thing, I think using the versatile lure for longer periods of time might work, too. So you don’t use a lot of bait. I might test this, when I have nothing to do in ffxiv. Maybe the rates aren’t that bad in practice.Does it matter what keybind, pick clean is on? Or does it have to be on 4. It just won’t hit the material I’m gathering for
It doesn’t matter, but if you don’t satisfy the condition for it to be activated (being the HQ-Chance is over 0%) then you will end in this loop.
To fix the issue, that after
Pick Clean
you wont gather, delete the gathering RotationGR-Get_more-750GP
and reimport it from the file attached to this post here. This should be enough. Don’t change the name of the rotation itself.The problem seems to be, that you don’t have enough stats to have a HQ-Chance on the item at all, meaning you cannot use Pick Clean on it.

So I exported the full scenario again.You can delete the scenario. And re-import from this file here. It should only import the scenario, as the rest are duplicates.

gatherPreset(GP-5.3_Legend) // gatherPreset(GP-5.2_Legend)
Place your cursor behind the
//
and press Enter, so it looks like that:gatherPreset(GP-5.3_Legend) // gatherPreset(GP-5.2_Legend)
Do that in Chapter 4 and it will gather fireheart there and in chapter 16 it will still go for brashgold. If you make this change in chapter 16 aswell, you will just gather fireheart.
To reverse it, place your cursor in front of
gatherPreset(GP-5.2_Legend)
and press backspace, so it returns to the first structure example I have given.Well, different time formats can always be confusing. When I do any update to the scenario, I might also add the 12h time format to the comment, so that doesn’t happen anymore^^
Edit: 12:12 p.m. is actually 12:12 in 24h-format, so likely it was a.m. but misread as p.m. I guess.

for me it was that i didnt have enough perception so the quality was 0 % to begin with , hence pick clean doesnt work .
I actually didn’t think of the “pick clean” condition, sure that could be the point. Maybe Miqobot should tell you in chat, that the condition of Pick Clean is not satisfied, that would lift much confusion xd
I have another issue though, when it says afkuntil(14:01et) for example, and for me its 12:12 pm , it says it will take 2284 seconds so it basically skips the next 2 pm timing. why is that ?
You are probably starting it on the wrong point then. The afkUntil function uses the 24h format, which means afkUntil(14:01et) actually means “akf until 02:01 pm ET”, as you have 12:12pm which equals to I guess 00:12 in 24h format? (I am not using 12h format often) it waits til it’s 2pm again. At least if I didn’t miss something
Would using cordials have to be added as well? I have it checked but my character does not use them.
Scenario is amazing but is it possible to add a cordial use after each gather? I use a 850gp rotation. I am not sure how to do it
Currently Miqobot doesn’t use the cordials, when using presets in a scenario. You can do it manually though.
You just need to place the linesendIcon(X, Y, 3)
behind eachgather(1)
in the chapters 2, 4, 6, 8, etc.
Where
X = the hotbar number your cordial is placed on and
Y = the slot number from left to right on this hotbarSo it looks like this:
... //# when node isn't there workUntil(01:50ET) gather(1) sendIcon(X, Y, 3)
I don’t recommend it though. The Scenario is designed to actually not use cordials, as you regenerate enough GP to use the 750GP-Rotation, without using it. And burning trough cordials (12 per hour), just to fit an extra Yield+3 I think is unneccessary. (Also you would be using a cordial for around 100-150GP xd)
Is there a way to add materia extract as well repairing to this?
– Materia Extract is maybe possible, but there is no function for miqo yet and if you cant ensure that every item you attempt to extract materia from is actually extractable, then you need to keep that in mind, while working with
sendKey()
functions to extract the materia.– Reparing could be easily added, but to be honest, you almost don’t loose any durability. You would need to let it run for I think 10-15 hours straight, even more when you repaired your gear over 100%, to reach 0 durability. If you still want to add it, you could just place a
repair()
before therepeatAll()
in Chapter 25. If you don’t have crafters to repair your gear yourself, you would need to have a grid to some repairing NPC, move there and then userepairNpc()
So you could import the grid I attached and add these lines into the last chapter (25) or add an chapter between 24 and 25 to include those:
teleport(Pfotenschlag) grid(NG-Repair_AmhAraeng) waypoint(8) repairNpc()
