1,2. Game client has to have special code to check your process list or to check if the client window has focus. Fortunately for us botters, it has none – at this moment, at least.

    3. Miqo has enough randomization as it is. Not that it was intended, though. It just doesn’t use any inner “MoveToXYZ” client functions – instead, it “feeds” client keystrokes; for example, ones which rotate camera. As a side effect, your char doesn’t move exactly towards your goal, following the same line from node to the next node each time… rather, it moves generally towards the target, using small movement corrections here and there. As a result, each time your char follows slightly different route – much like real player would. Now add the fact than nodes appear randomly on top of this, and you get my point…

duck bones to vendor which is around a 10:6 seals:gil or 60% efficiency conversion rate

Cordials are “default” way to monetize GC seals… might be 100% or even higher conversion rate at certain servers. I’m one of these who have constant demand for cordials, and usually I buy them when price falls as low as 450-500 at least somewhere (most servers of our cluster sell at 600-700 usually, so I have to use world visit every 3-5 days, for price check and bulk buying).

It casts Truth this way – sometimes it just can’t cast it while in air… I reported it months ago. Miqo promised that this bug should be fixed, but it seems that new version which contains this fix is not released yet.

For now, just make sure your beacons are always placed above a landable ground, far enough from rocks which can make you stuck while trying to land.

Is there a way to change the quantiy of the bought item instead of just spam buying said item?

    Basically we just perma stealth.

Who knows? In case “mounted stealth” will apply as harsh speed reduction debuff as common stealth, it will be still a choice between safety and efficiency…

Just got issued with a 20 day suspension, been using Miqo for just under a month. Been leaving it gathering low areas over-night each night and then crafting during the day, occasionally running a dungeon. I was using the DarkSteel scenario for the past 2 days and I’m guessing that’s what got me.

I wish there was a rule (much like on most other forums): when you file a ban report, answer at least minimal set of questions:

    1) How many hours per day you were botting?
    2) Did you use any proxy?
    3) Did you have any accounts banned before, which were run on the same hardware (not Miqobot case [yet], probably)?
    4) Did you sell any gil? How much?
and so on… Otherwise it’s kind of hard to guess. Leaving account unattended means nothing. I see several notorious bots at our server for months (they were botting already when I was n00bie, still leveling my skills), and they bot every day on the same place, so…

Interesting! How do these work? The last time I used AHK it was sending hotbar keys, but yours seeem to be using the skill names?

It uses a definitions file as an include, which converts names into buttons. Though, this way you can see actual skill names, which should help while creating macroses.

Do you by any chance know where I can get these macros?

Attached a couple of AutoHotKey scripts – these should cover endgame white crafts easily (given that you’ve got final crafting set melded with at least materia VI, maybe with some overmelds of materia IV). The first one is for 40 duration mats, the second – for actual 80-dur crafts. You can go for green facet stuff too, but it will require either quite decent melds, or some HQ intermediate mats. Scripts are pretty much self-explanatory, so you should be able to convert them into macroses manually just by taking skills used one by one.

Most players who are interested in crafting consider it a challenge rather than a grind. This activity gives unimaginable freedom for theorycrafting, so much that it generates the whole communities focused on designing macros and breaking down requirements for all recipe tiers. That’s why when the Crafting Solver was finally updated for level 70 tier, it was received as a threat to human intelligence rather than a helpful assistant in eliminating the tedious grind.

Ironically, this was one of the very first things I’ve said upon arrival to this forum, before even starting to play the game. It just happens like this in most MMORPGs… I repeat: crafting is fun, lots of legit players craft manually, and they cover most of demand for craftable stuff; grinding, on the other hand, is boring no-fun (mostly) waste of human time – and this is the reason why bots rightfully and predictably occupy this niche. Crafting is for humans, while farming is for botters.

Ppl who want to craft for fun do not need any bot, because the process of building rotations and optimizing them is the most fun, and bots take it away. Ppl who just want to make some gil do not need any bots either – there are other activities which bring way more profit per hour. When I came here, oldbies told me that money making in FFXIV is about crafting rather than farming… they were wrong. I barely made some 50 mil via crafting during the first three weeks after 5.0 SBr addon was released (after than profits from each craft fell below 100k, so I stopped to craft). Once patch 5.05 (which added green facet gear) was released, market have gone to hell in just two days. Legit players killed it, not bot users. Farming, on other other hand, still brings me 700k per each hour… even right now, when mats prices have gone down considerably.

This is why I say to Miqo team: keep up the good work! and keep crafting where it is now and where it belongs – at the bottom of priority list. Making Miqo a fully self-sufficient grinder bot will certainly attract lots of users… no matter what does it grind – exp or gil.

Maybe there could be some sort of audible alarm for when this or other features are done?

    +++

Forgot to add it to my own wish list, hehe… Though, I’d say ANY tell should raise some kind of alarm, just GM tell has to be a loud siren to wake up bot owner in milliseconds 😀

It is not that simple as you imagine it

I don’t imagine – I just check the code of another bot. Its main addon is open-source… maybe it could serve as some inspiration for Miqo devs.

    – Make a list of all vendor types present in the game.
    – Research each type of vendor UI.
    – Identify how many categories, tabs, and items each vendor has.

Maximalism FTW 🙂 Look, you don’t have to aim for absolutely universal and optimal code – we aren’t launching a rocket worth billions of bucks to Mars, right? I’d say: let’s start with some special case of interaction (most important/requested one), release it, and later expand to other areas (if needed). This, of course, raises the “where to start” question… so you might as well create another poll. Something tells me that scrip vendors and GC vendors will be in the top, while vendors which trade for gil (i.e. MOST vendors) won’t show up at all. I mean, for real, gil is almost unlimited – why make bot spend it while you sleep, when you can just wake up and spend it yourself? You can just prepare any vendor food/potions/etc in advance, in amounts large enough for any bot free run.

This still might change and vendor support could always be pushed further back, if for example it turns out to be more complicated to implement than it is expected right now, but that is the current state of priorities.

It’s just another interactive window with table of active elements, much like repair window or disenchant window. You learn to operate one of them – you learn to operate them all, and Miqo can do dis, reduct and repair already… It just requires some wrappings to let people set up a chain of elements to operate (i.e. choose option1 from table1, then option2 from table2 and so forth). I guess it has to be a scenario command with variable number of arguments… not sure if Miqo supports it tho.

Not sure about getting disconnected much but It runs too well for me.

If you have a nice stable connection, then sure – Miqo is the best! Though, if you don’t, you are in deep shit: at best you fail key sequence because of lag, so scrip interaction fails (and you either buy wrong items, or don’t buy anything at all, which lead to scrip overcap, waste of scrips and you being very desperate for REAL vendor support); if you are less lucky, you move too far because of lag, run into aggro mob and die; in the worst case you just get disconnected, and voila – several hours are lost while you sleep.

As for Navigation mesh, I mentioned that it could be edited by the user at any time which means that less effort on your end when making it and it “scans” the area for a short time before it creates a path (The game will lag for a few seconds or even freeze if the pc sucks).

Well yes, I’ve switched to smallest cubes, so short freezes indeed occur; though, it doesn’t help anyway. Maybe I’m n00b at nav.manager, but I tend to modify not just needed cubes, but also cubes nearby, which means that I either delete correct cubes, or add extra cubes, or just add cubes of wrong type, etc. As a result, my toon tries to avoid invisible obstacles (or the opposite: tries to get through real obstacles), it changes directions several times per second (i.e. my char twitches so much so ppl start to ask if I’m ok)……. and then I spend countless hours editing and editing and editing. Trust me, this is NOT what people would like! Benefits of easy setup are just as easily counterweighted with increased other players attention, and thus ban risk. So no, it is definitely NOT “very safe”, IMHO…

    1) Miqobot is currently the safest and most efficient bot in the market

Safest – definitely. Most efficient? Well, when you live in a poor country, your ISP is bunch of lazyarses (well, much like almost everyone else in the country), you get disconnects several times a day – it just can’t be efficient, because you have to sleep sometimes. You sleep + Miqo runs + link down = efficiency is zero.

    8) Navigation mesh system (This can help out with future updates and saves time on your end with a single button which will use RAM or GPU to re-navigate or navigate areas which can produce a path that can be used in scenarios or dungeons yet can be edited by users)

NO WAY!!! Mesh system is utter bullshit, unless you’ve got high-end comp which you use just for a single instance of the game + bot! Either you make really small floor meshes and air cubes (which means crapload of mem used and intense CPU load to find the shortest way every time), or your pathfinder lands you far away from node, your air way is a wierd polyline, and generally everyone around understands that you move like a bot you are. No, thanks!

I really do not understand the need for MSQ support!!

Miqo is a bot for people who loves FF14.

Nah… it’s a bot for everyone who assumes that its cost is worth its abilities. I can’t say that I love the game itself or especially this errand-boy-sim called “MSQ”, but I’ve used the bot nonetheless. After all, even if you hate questing (or just your time worth more than questing done by someone else), you can always buy a jump potion or buy a whole account – so generally you are right, there is a little need to do it with bot.

Oh, and I see people started to post their wish lists, so lemme show mine:

    1) Autologin / linkdrop support!!! Even better if it has proxy check / IP limitation.
    2) Auto restart after death / auto choose chapter depending on ET.
    3) Vendor support (scrips vendors included).
    4) Other QoL stuff like possibility to choose rotation depending on node bonuses, to choose ability depending on current rarity, cordials fix in case of gather(1), etc.
    5) (low priority) Mobs grinding.
    6) (low priority) FATE/gemstone farming.

The rest is fine, to me. Or even more than fine. Geez, I love waypoints! After spending dozens and dozens of hours fixing terrain mesh stucks and weird routes you start to simply LOVE WAYPOINTS %) and miss them a lot…
