If you have good stats and have some of the HQ mats. I suggest you get one of the crafting rotations from “The Balance”. Based on your Craftsmanship, Control and CP you can choose one of the rotations from the crafting guide (close to the end of the document). You can save the rotation as a Miqobot Macro. It takes a little bit to set up the macro, but it saves time overall.
First; you need to buy the game and do your own research. I understand that you are asking questions to gauge your possible interest, but the logic you are applying to analyse the responses is futile as you don’t have the base knowledge to understand the answers.
Second; and it’s funny that no one has actually said it, Gil is rather unnecessary in this game. I know it may seem absurd, but the average player can get everything they want or a similar substitute by waiting.
Third; the FFXIV Marketplace cannot be explained. All the answers provided to you and even some of the scenarios you proposed based on those answers are accurate. Unfortunately you can only get a clear picture from selling and buying items on the MB (Market-board). Additionally to effectively sell items and make Gil, you will need to spend at least an hour or 2 per day deciding what to sell. Granted this will get easier over time, but you will still need to do research and recheck your prices hourly to be effective.
Forth; there’s actually a lot more to say, but I’ll end with just a few tips.
(i) Crafters and Gatherers are usually the only people that reliably purchase Ingots, Cloths, Reagents, and Leather (items made from raw materials and used for final crafts). This usually happens because the price of the Raw Materials is usually higher than the materials they make.
(ii) The big money is in Glamour, Special Dyes and Minions. Their sale is unreliable, requires various specialists (Minions), can only be obtained with retainers with unpredictable success (Special Dyes) and almost always requires materials that cannot be obtained from gathering (Glamour).
(iii) Good Luck and I hope your venture (lol “Retainer Ventures”, FFXIV JOKE) is successful. For the most part dps rotations are fixed and end game options usually only offer 2 or 3 different rotations for the opener and use of abilities. These options are based on the Class/Job, Ability order pref, and GCD time. While I don’t know what Miqo has planned I am fairly confident that the final rotations for Assist Model will not be based on the individual values for Main and Sub stats; they will more likely be tiered based on the level for level synced dungeons, and whatever “The Balance” suggests or Miqo’s own data collection, for end game rotations.
As it is not optimized for level 70 rotations, it obviously does not do a good job for end game raiding. However, the assist function is wonderful for starting any new job and letting Miqo pile damage on the annoying leveling mobs. It’s great for hunting logs, going through leveling dungeons, fates, farming leather/cloth etc. The auto positional adjustment for melee jobs is also a very nice feature. All in all its a gr8 step forward. Thank you Miqo-Team.
Actually it will be a more optimal strategy when trying to trade only 1 fish. Currently with 4 attempts, if we only want to trade 1 fish and we collect the desired item on the first hit, there will be no VT occurring for the remaining 3 hits. Similarly if the first fish is not the desired collectible nor is it the fish listed in the VT box, then the remaining 3 hits would not be covered by VT.
While we can cover the second instance by simply having 2 fish in the VT box, it does not cover the first.
This is my understanding of the logic previously described.Thank you for implementing the setting; I appreciate the prompt response and support.
Thank you for explaining. I would like an option or toggle for the first case/consideration to perform as follows:
“If node has 4 attempts in total, Miqobot will use Veteran Trade after 1st or 2nd hit”
While this will be GP intensive, it will handle the case where we Collect an item on the first attempt as well as the VT fish not being there on the first attempt.
Thank you.
SpearFishing Veteran Trade
Would it be possible to implement an option where we can Veteran Trade on the second gathering attempt if the first fish was the Collectable Item.
Would it also be possible to Veteran Trade on the second gathering attempt if the first fish was neither the fish we wanted to Veteran Trade nor the collectable.
