This has nothing to do with VAC at all.
VAC is a completely different thing, and as a developer you have to implement it into your game, Valve is not forcing it on developers at all, it’s just one of their services, like achievements, etc.
SE is one of the greediest and laziest dev out there, they will never implement something like VAC, it goes so much against their interests, they hate third party middleware, they hate spending money on them, they hate spending time on implementing them, etc.
So, this all thing, has nothing to do with VAC, they’re just ensuring you can’t use the Steam XIV installation to be launched outside of Steam. This really changes nothing for ACT, Miqobot, etc.
Funny thing is that you can own the game on Steam, but logging in through it with a regular SE XIV PC account, which is the opposite of what they’re trying to prevent.
The Assist Mode is very promising, while not being able yet to use 2 of the strongest BRD abilities, Miqobot pulled 5450 DPS with current BRD BiS, no potion, no food, no party buff, while I did 6500 DPS.
She’s just 16% behind, really promising. This is what I got when I first try this feature (i400 with Omega bow, full BiS). It’s not really relevant right now anyway, because they’re not done coding this feature, Miqobot is not using yet most of the final skills.

March 9, 2019 at 4:58 pm in reply to: Combat Assist and DOT spamming due to debuff limit on target #11056Yeah, it’s particularly an issue right now in Baldesion Arsenal, with more than 50 players still alive at Absolute Virtue and Ozma, if as a BRD you’re not pulling with Miqobot as soon as possible and ensure your DoTs shows up in the list, Miqobot will lose track for them, even if you manually Iron Jaw to show her they’re both ticking, she’s not yet able to pick up from there.
I’m not very worried about this, because the real only times when this happens, are fights where there’s so many players, that DPS never matters, even in Baldesion Arsenal right now, most people are full +2 gear, and DPS check disappeared.
This will never happen in Ultimate and Savage for example, where it really matters.I’m 100% sure Miqobot devs know all this, and I believe that if ACT is able to simulate DoT ticks and have user created alarms working flawlessly to warn you when a DoT is about to wears off, it will be the same with Miqobot later on, when they’ll be done coding the assist feature.
March 7, 2019 at 2:29 am in reply to: thinking of getting the bot, how obvious would does it appear? #11014First, there’s a difference between what you see on your own screen, and what the other players will see about you, this actually round up/blend/simplify your movements to the others, making the bot movements way less obvious. You could see that if you run side by side 2 clients of the game with 2 characters at the same spot running around.
And yes the bot already improved there since its release, and while dev said they will eventually make it even better, this never has been urgently needed, because when use correctly and smartly, the bot is already good enough.
My advice is to always create your own grid (it’s super easy and fun), that way you’ll never find someone going through the same path, and creating your own grid allow you to copy accurately enough a human behaviour by giving up on efficiency (no hard angles, not mount for short distance, etc.) and going for curved lines, additional path, etc.
Then the other advice is to act smart, don’t gather at the same spot for more than 40 min, create scenarios within the bot to change activities often automatically, put fake breaks in the scenarios every 3 hours, disconnect every day for 10 hours, etc. and never ever let the bot run unattended.
You can let it run in the background, you can literally play another game on the same computer, even a very demanding one, because the bot only need 15 fps (outside one activity in the Gold Saucer), but you must be able to hear a /tell sound, LS/FC sound, and respond to that within a minute, or people might get suspicious, etc.Play safe.
Scenarios don’t work yet in Hydatos, it triggers the usual kill switch (Current zone: Unknown (ID 033B)).
I just wanted to use my Eureka Anti-AFK scenario like I did in previous Eureka, very useful.
key(_, 1) key(_, 1) afkFor(00:08:00) repeatChapter(999)
If for some reasons it’s not gonna be added, it’s okay, I’ll figure something else, but Miqobot + XIVHunt to stay AFK and be warned when a Fate spawn are really a wonderful combo for that content.

She’s just 16% behind, really promising. Also, this feature is really refreshing, in the sense that I’m never able to watch an end-game fight that I do, I only discover it later on recording, but during it, all I can see is party list, enmity list, buff, timers, but not the actual fight itself, so using the Assist Mode really allows to cut in half the attention required and allows to enjoy the fight in a new way, at least for me.
This certainly will help to learn/decipher mechanics faster in 5.x Savage and Ultimate, great tool! You can do all daily turn-in for DoL/DoH, it takes the bot around 25 minutes per day with Lyfox Crafting Scenario Generator, and will yield you 25K seals per day, for real, 25K for 25 min, all done with Miqobot.
Just get used to have stock of stacks of all mats required for the final level of those deliveries, and all it will take you, is 5 min to take the daily required mats from your retainer to your inventory, then the bot will do the rest.
Use the bot to stock mats in advance for month to come, and use your retainers to get stacks of mats you get from combat.
It might look like a lot in the beginning, but it really isn’t, and once you have your procedure in place, it’s down to 5 min per day for you, 20 min for the bot, and way too much seals.

Also iirc the dev talk about a cooldown planner, that’s where all your min maxing coming from. I doubt the bot can pickup your teammate major cooldown after a pause. I hope it can pick up our rotation phases midway through cooldowns.
I think that in my example the bot should be able to pick up the 3min party cooldown after a pause.
For example, currently in O12S, during the pink tether phase, it’s where the 3min cooldown get available if you started them in the openers, but due to the mechanic, no one will be near Omega during that, so the party hold a few seconds on those CD, until the melee can reach the boss again.
What I would do in this example, right before those CD get available, I would turn off assist mode, I’ll continue the rotations, but I’ll hold on the 3min CD, then I believe there’s 2 way to deal with the situation, and both should have a similar outcome.
I could turn back on assist mode, and Miqobot will see those CD are available, and therefore will use them immediately, or I could use them myself, and turn back on assist mode right after that.In any case, what will happen next, is that those CD will be aligned again with the ones from the party, and since Miqobot should use them on CD, she will use them exactly when the rest of the party will use theirs on the next iteration.
There’s a similar thing in O10S, those CD are available during the nail phase, it’s better to hold on those until Midgarsormr is back, in a mid-fight opener.
Since the beginning I’m expecting a fast shortcut to toggle assist mode on and off, so that we can react to specific things in the fight, a Silence that needs to be done, or preventing the Bot to use the 3min buff because the party decided to delay them for a few seconds because melee are not within boss range when those buff CD are over, etc.
There’s plenty of little moments where you want to override what the bot would do, and have it to pick it up immediately once you’re done doing that special thing.
You really worry way too much.
My advice, always make your own grid, not even editing the ones others did, but make all yours from scratch, that way you’ll never end up overlapping with someone else, and you can make them look natural.
But really, making a grid doesn’t make anyone suspicious, come on, people don’t even know about grids, and the game is full of people messing around, jumping, pausing to talk, etc.
The way the editor works is good, making a grid takes less then 10 min, there’s no point building an over-complicated 3D manual system that would only lead you to place points inside polygons by accident, etc.And Miqobot said one day they will improve the travelling through points, to make them more fluid.
September 20, 2018 at 9:43 pm in reply to: Latest Combat Beta also going to be updated for 4.4? #8342Miqobot solver never failed me a craft, always HQ, and I just have minimum required meld with CP capped.
Sometimes when I do high tier potions or food and I start with no HQ, 1% of those might end up NQ when RNG is pure evil, but really not an issue.
For high tier gear I always start with some HQ, so Miqobot solver never fails, it’s really a crazy work of art software algorithm.
For the Kugane Tower, it took me 2 hours, for the Moonfaire Tower it took me more, to the point I stopped for half an hour to study FFXIV jumps, and I ended up making 3 Razer macros for 3 kind of jump: little, medium, long.
With those I managed to reach the top of Moonfaire tower, I used them only on specific difficult parts.
I know that Miqobot team always want to deliver the best feature possible, but in this case, between delivering a full system supporting complete grid automation that would cost hours of developing, and nothing, there’s a fair middle ground: just build in Miqobot 3 jump buttons or shortcuts.
That way you take care of jumping to the top by yourself, you place your character by watching “clear” video, and you pick one of the jump, those should be more reliable than you making the jump.
And if you fall, you start again with enough new knowledge to not fall again. While you do it you take notes, here it needs medium jumps, here it works with long jump, etc.
This is a simple assistance system, that still make those towers fun and rewarding, you just remove the part where you can’t jump yourself reliably all the time, because it’s a timing matter.
3 keyboard shortcuts not used in FFXIV, and recognised by Miqobot, or more simply, 3 buttons in Miqobot interface.
Maybe Miqobot team can figure out if more than 3 kind of jumps would be useful.
But really, jump towers don’t really deserve more than that, you can even do it yourself with mouse or keyboard driver macros.
