Thank you for the step by step, this was really helpful! One thing I do not understand is the findFish(.25) line but I will try and test this when the servers come back up, hopefully will understand it when I see it.

I compiled the scenarios from SuperSul’s MIN/BTN Aethersand and JosephM’s Fishing scenarios to make one that will farm spearfishing until the BTN node is up, move to the MIN and then resume spearfishing after reducing and repairing – it does NOT go to an NPC to repair.

For it to work you need to;

– Put Aetherial Reduction on your hotbar
– Put Repair on your hotbar
– Put a Cordial on your hotbar (if you want it to use cordials)
– Put Collect on your hotbar.

The keybinds I’m using are ;
Cordial – x
Collect – r

You can change these in your game or in the scenario.

Hi, I want to add this to a scenario that goes to gather the min/btn scuroglow items as well. How would I go about adding waypoints that would take me from Lydra Lran to the fishing spot?

Hi everyone! I’m brand new to this community and about 2 months in to FFXIV. I just completed ARR and am in the middle stuff between ARR and HS. As it stands now I have 300k to my name and lvl 50 BLM/RDM and then lvl 5 mining. I’d love to get my Gatherering skills up, like mining and fishing. I’d love to get a clear picture for what Miqobot can help me with. If I start with botting, will it ruin the game for me? Is it also a bad idea to bot on my one and only account? What sort of ban rates does Square Enix pass on down and do you have any tips for me? If there are any super helpful forum guides on Miqobot that you’d recommend I read, give it a share and I’ll get to it!

Looking forward to hearing some advice and opinions as well as joining this community.

Hi, this is my first time writing scenarios.
I am sharing my scenarios for fishing white scrip farming. But i cannot get the repairing at the npc in <The Ondo Cups> works. I wonder if someone could help me out with that.

If i wanted to add auto repairing do i need to remake the grid? or can i just revised on the one i created?
What Index should I be using? ” repair()” doesnt work for me.

I fully agree on here. I mean, seriously. Even I still occasionally every once in a while let Miqo start farming Scuroglow Aethersand in Il Mheg via Spearfishing over night while I’m sleeping and don’t have any issues with it. I simply don’t do it too often and I usually stay awake until late, still answering to my FC members inbetween, until all of them went off as well.

Hello, I’ve got a basic fishing preset for the oyster but I don’t know how to make a scenario for some nice extra features like:

• Use Identical Cast + Double Hook when GP is 750+
• Going to another fishing hole and coming back when game prevents fishing from continuing

Any ideas for this? I tried looking at older fishing scenarios but I can’t understand how they work.

So i finally tried the scenario feature and the gathering (fishing) one when i came back home, it work like a charme thank you Miqo (and the people working on the “routine” 🙂

I searched on the forum too after fixing my internet issues about my ARR Relic (the book part) but i didnt find about it. Did in missed something or is this under a specific “name”?

Sorry to bother about that, but it’s really specialy for this one that i bought a key for the bot <3

FINAL FANTASY XIV will stop you from fishing after about 50 minutes sitting at the same fishing spot (even if you ask Miqobot to fish for 99 minutes).
This is an anti-bot feature.

You have to move a bit to continue, and if you insist too much, you’ll have to go to another fishing spot, to catch there one fish, before you can come back to your previous fishing spot.

You can easily create scenarios with Miqobot, where you’ll make her move 2 times in the same spot after 45 min, and where you’ll make her move a third time in another spot to catch one fish, so you reset the game protection, and make her come back.

You can use a scenario in order to do this, but fishing spots “wear out” so to speak after casting there for a while (I think it’s 45 minutes). You get the message about the fish catching on to this spot and that they have moved elsewhere. When this happens you can no longer catch fish in that spot and have to move away from there.

But if you wanted to do this, you could create a grid and teleports in the scenario to switch spots every so often. Scenarios have a “?” up top by Start and Next, click that for help on which functions do what and the syntax.

For an example, something like this would work.

Chapter 1

teleportIf(where you want to go to fish first)
Grid(Name of Grid you created)
Waypoint(which waypoint on grid to go to)

Chapter 2
fish(40)

Chapter 3

teleportIf(where you want to go to fish next)
Grid(Name of Grid you created)
Waypoint(which waypoint on grid to go to)

Chapter 4
fish(40)

Chapter 5

teleportIf(New Gridania)
Grid(Name of Grid you created)
Waypoint(waypoint by the repair NPC)
RepairNPC()

Chapter 6
repeatAll(amount of times you want this whole scenario to repeat)

Expanding on this, if in the future something could be implemented for gathering as well based on gathering node proc’s:

If +2 / +1 node attemts then do xxx rotation. This would make gathering and efficiently spending GP a breeze.

In short term if fishing is expanded with ShB skills we really need options akin to Veteran Trade for spearfishing to make good use of Surface slap or Identical cast.

Personally I edited mine and added popotos/spinach and removed the use of cordials (since GP naturally regens) in most chapters.

Grids are available for all Tincture Mats.
Aethersands are fastest with spearfishing, I posed a scenario for those.
