Personally, I don’t even use an antivirus program. The vast majority (almost all) of malware is manually installed through being deceived or through ignorance, like spam clicking Next through a program’s installer that’s bundled with some not so nice toolbars and programs. And for browsing the internet safely, a simple adblocker like ublock origin should keep you from getting infected.
But as Lyfox pointed out above, not all antivirus programs are equal, and if your antivirus doesn’t do what its told to do, or is difficult to remove, it is usually regarded as a virus itself. Norton and McAfee are treated as viruses due to both of these traits, and if you install almost any other antivirus in existence, they will get rid of Norton or McAfee with extreme prejudice.
Personally, if you absolutely want or need an antivirus software, i would recommend either ESET smart security, or Kaspersky. They are both regarded as the best you can get.
I agree with Lyfox that it sounds like McAfee is quarantining miqobot due to a false positive. You should be able to set an exception somewhere that will allow McAfee to ignore miqobot.
On a side note, McAfee is a really terrible antivirus and i would suggest using something else like kaspersky, malwarebytes premium, or eset if you have money, and windows defender, malwarebytes, or avast if you need one for free.
Don’t aim for titan like the guy above me said, that’s an easy way to get banned. The problem is most likely your frame rate being low while playing the minigames and miqobot keeps waiting for a good spot to stop the meter. Try dropping the resolution, or graphics settings, and see if that helps

I think he means programmatically. Like if for some reason it wasn’t able to gather a node, it could skip to line 34 of the scenario instead of sitting at line 25 waiting for the node to respawn. Usually skips like that are used with if statements. If node was missed, go to line 34. Something like that.
I don’t think that miqobot can do that, however there’s a good chance that i might be wrong since the devs have added quite a bit to the scripting engine since i last looked at it. Someone more familiar with it than myself should know for sure.
I’ve used the bot for a month. Not only did i farm a million gold saucer points for that sweet fenrir mount, but i also mined a few thousand shards and ores and used it in palace of the dead. Haven’t been detected or banned and i used it pretty heavily.
As a developer for my own cheats and bots, i can give a 99% guarantee that Miqobot is not detectable by the game in the way that you’re thinking. Yes, it does read certain things from the game as you play (like to know when to collect fish, as your example) however READING from the game’s memory is completely non-obtrusive. The only times it could be detected in this way is if Miqobot was injected (which it isn’t) so you have nothing to worry about. Even the more complex stuff like the palace of the dead radar is using Miqobot’s own database of trap locations, and simply reading memory from the game for things like chests so there’s no way of being detected.
Even if the game were to somehow get an update and magically detect the bot with some kind of anticheat like Warden from WoW for example (which it wont), the developers of Miqobot seem to be experienced enough in reverse engineering to get around it or disable it completely.
on an unrelated note, I’d LOVE to see the source code for miqobot so i could learn how it works, like their custom packing and attaching to the game and whatnot, but there’s no way they’d just hand out something like that lol. a person can dream ๐
TL;DR The only way Miqobot will get detected is if you are blatantly botting in front of people and they report you.

i may not be a great developer of bots or fully understand how mpc-hc works but it kinda sounds like theres either a driver issue or some software incompatibility for some reason. either way, more information would really help them figure out whats wrong. things like OS, architecture, mpc-hc settings and version, which drivers and codecs youre using. that kinda stuff. they might not need the info but its nice to have just in case
forcing it to use certain skills is basically making your cpu run Prime95 ;just to count the permutations of how many different ways you can slice an apple: this is pointless
lmao. thats actually pretty accurate. although at lower levels (1-50) ive noticed miqobot will actually use waste not’s and manipulations quite a bit simply because the amount of skills available are so low and unless youre rolling in gil, your gear is never quite up to par so miqo has to really milk it. i figure they’re more for leveling.
plus my cpu needs something to make it wake up and put it to work. aside from ff14, my cpu sits at 2% all day long.
Can i use for gather item previous stormblood? Yes. can i gather actually item from heavensward for leveling my job? Yes.
Can i use like another bot for gather unspoiled item and use aetherial reduction for cluster? Miqobot can do all of this
Thereโs something new that work with the new stormblood update? like craft new recipe or something like this? Not yet. The developers are trying to update as much as they can.I’m slightly new here, but yes i believe scenarios were made to do what you’re talking about. I know it’s lame that you have to go download a scenario or grids, but the developer seems to listen to feedback and i’m sure they either already plan on implementing some scenarios by default, or probably will in the future.
On the other hand, doing everything semi-manually probably makes this bot the hardest to detect because people can choose where they are and the bot’s timings and such.

Thank you Lyfox, it did indeed drop the cpu usage down to 0. It seems like the “show gathering: out of reach” and palace of the dead options use it the most though so i might play around with the options a little. Thanks again ๐
