So a week or so ago Miqo did some weird crash thing and it kept unlinking my catnip and I noticed all my imported stuff stuff was gone (scenario’s, nav grids, etc). Then today I just noticed I also lost some preset stuff too, so I don’t have the presets for the lower chocobo races, maiden-r-60. And of course since they were already included in miqo automatically I can’t find files to reupload them manually. :/

I’ll run to the repair NPC, run to the Personnel Officer to turn the GC gear turn-in’s, then run over to the Entrance to the Barracks, but when it tries to click onto the door to enter my barracks, it instead starts cycling through NPCS and every time stops on the OIC Officer of Arms NPC, and then I just… stand there and the scenario breaks and I go AFK.
Now, this doesn’t happen every single time I run the scenario, but it’s about 50% of the time it catches up and gets stuck. Sometimes I’ll get lucky and it’ll run through for hours without any issues, other times I only get a single dungeon run and it stops. Heck, other times I don’t even get a single dungeon run before it stops! π I checked my character settings targeting to make sure I had NPC’s unchecked, but it still keeps wanting to cycle through the NPCs and not hit the door entrance.

Just a heads up to an issue I was having and finally figured out what was wrong.. maybe add into the instructions on the first page… but make sure your inventory in character settings is set to “normal” and not “expanded”.
I was having an issue where I’d put the biscuits in the top left slot in the 1st section, but it’d try to target the top left slot in the 2nd section. So I’d move the biscuits over there, and it’d target the correct location in the 1st area. No matter how many times I flip flopped the biscuits’ location it would always choose the wrong spot! Then I went hmm…. instructions say specifically in bag 1, maybe it isn’t recognizing my bag numbers since I’m in expanded mode? Something just clicked and I put it onto “normal” inventory bag spaces and wala, magically no more problems.
I use one originally made by another person in these forums, but I tweaked it a little. Not a lot, but a tiny bit. Here are the scenario’s I use depending on if it’s for a personal or an FC that still needs a house.

You must be logged in to view attached files. My friend had that same problem yesterday, this is what he told me he did, “so we downloaded the new one deleted the old one and repinned the new one now its all good”
Not sure what he means by repinned other than maybe creating a new shortcut? Funny thing those are the steps I do every single time I download a new update so I had no issues getting mine to go. I downloaded the new one. Deleted the old one. Created a new shortcut for the new one on my desktop, put it into admin mode, and bam, it worked.
I find that is the case for me with most things, but certain scenarios that go through menu’s.. it can sometimes break the scenario if you move your mouse.
I.e., when I first started using miqo I got it for the sole purpose of house hunting. I got sick of the hand pain from the constant clicking for hours. If I moved my mouse, even with the game minimized, occasionally the options in the menu would get messed up and it’d get off track and miqo cannot get back on track without my manually stopping the scenario and restarting it. Same thing happens to me on the coffee biscuit leve turn in, and that one far more often so I just flat out sit back and don’t touch my laptop at all while running that scenario. Even in the first chapter it warns you to not move the mouse or it’ll break the scenario.
But really I only had issues on those two, and both of them are done entirely within menu’s and mimics your mouse moving constantly to choose different options in the menu.
I also have 10 retainers.. I’ve never edited (or made) a script/scenario, are you able to tell me where in the text file I’d place it? I’d assume near the end, but it isn’t spaced out nicely like yours it. To me it just looks like a jumbled mess and I’m having issues telling where one part part begins and another ends lol. xD
\/\/move left\r\nkey(num0, 1.0) \/\/confirm\r\nkey(num8, 1.0) \/\/move up\r\nkey(num2, 1.0) \/\/move down\r\nkey(num0, 1.0) \/\/confirm\r\nkey(num0, 1.0) \/\/confirm\r\n\r\n\/\/quit\r\nkey({esc}, 1.0) \/\/close ui\r\nkey(num0, 3.0) \/\/confirm”,”\/\/prevent kick from AFK\r\n\r\nkey({esc}, 1.0) \/\/close ui\r\nafkFor(00:21)\r\nicon(7,1)\r\nafkFor(00:21)\r\nicon(7,1)\r\nafkFor(00:21)\r\nicon(7,1)\r\n\r\nrepeatAll(100)”]}
That’s just the last few parts of the text file that I copied pasted. Would it go…. before the \r\n\r\nrepeatAll(100)]} part? Or would it go before the \/\/close ui\r\nkey(num0, 3.0) \/\/confirm”? That spot also looks… possible. O_O
Now that I think about it I had run Ruby Weapon before that manually and not in a roulette, so maybe that was still checked as well from my previous run a few hours before? But it took like 25m for that Ruby queue to pop and choco races only take a minute so unless I was really unlucky to get the Ruby Weapon one to pop first you’d think the choco race would have popped first and just started.
But I bet that’s what happened is the game still had the ruby weapon dungeon clicked on as an option and I didn’t notice.
:O So… yea, I decided not to minimize the game this time while running choco races because I was going to just be in the kitchen cooking and doing some dishes, and I wouldn’t be moving my mouse around so I figured it wouldn’t cause any issues with detecting mouse movement. I even turned my mouse off so (wireless) so the cat couldn’t bump and move it.
Didn’t even get in a single race. Went to the bathroom and while I was walking past my laptop I looked over to check the race and lo-and-behold I’m in a trial to fight Ruby Weapon!!!!!! Thankfully it hadn’t started yet and there was still the circle thingy you start in… but I hadn’t walked past and seen that to switch miqo to combat assist I would have been screwed just standing there looking dumb. xD
So, heads up for others.. ALWAYS minimize the game when running choco races? Cause otherwise you might end up running a random trial/dungeon or something like I did. -__-
It happens when you move mouse while Miqo is selecting menu items. When your game is in background but not minimized its still detecting mouse movement and blocking keyboard input. At those moments Miqo cant select menus with keyboard and gets upset. Minimizing the game should fix it.
OOOOOOOH thank you very much! I shall minimize then when doing other stuff haha, easy fix. No wonder I wasn’t seeing anything in keybinds when looking around.
I’m having an issue where I get this error in the Miqo log when choco racing:
Sorry, couldn’t move cursor with key ‘[{NUMPAD2}, 0x00]’
Anyone know what that means? She’s still racing ok for the most part, but I’m assuming it’s something to do with a keybind. I just can’t figure out what keybind. XD
