Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere, I tried searching but couldn’t find an answer.
I’m aware that Miqobot will be unusable for several weeks after the patch because most of the modules will be broken. However, there are other mods / plugins, etc that are usually working within a few days of a new expansion.
Obviously, an entire bot – especially one as feature rich as Miqo – takes longer to correct after a new patch; however, I would imagine that some features like using the gathering grids and gathering should be fairly quick to fix after a patch? Even if it’s only the pre-expansion areas and nodes, etc.So my question is this: Is the several weeks of downtime a decision made based on User Experience, and wanting ALL the features to be fixed before a release? Or is it really because the CORE functionality is entirely broken and takes those several weeks to fix?
If the former, then what are your thoughts about having a beta channel release? This could be the feature-by-feature fixes that are made during that progress. Also a potentially good avenue for people to help test and bug-find before the general release. I’m sure there are plenty of people that would be willing to feed back into that, myself included.
If you’re concerned about reputation and peoples’ expectations, you could have it behind a form for the user to agree that they know it is an unstable release and features are broken, and it will be completely unsupported, etc.Apologies if this is sounding accusatory or complain-y, that’s not my intention at all, I’m just curious from a technical standpoint and trying to understand the process.
Thanks in advance!
With regards to the burden of support – is it worth opening up the “Help” forum so that we can crowdsource at least the basic support? I know a lot of the people here are super helpful with things like that, so it may ease the burden on the Miqo team.
Or are all the support queries ones that require in depth tech knowledge?
Firstly, nice work!
For your “rough release” it works brilliantly.
I am however fairly new and wonder if anyone can guide me how to change what is gathered as it only does artisan stuff and id like to gather specific items to craft with hopefully.

Is there any way to change the slot that is gathered? I’m only a level 60 with my miner but it keeps hitting the level 80 (which is a 0%). There is a level 60 slot but it isn’t default
I should say I tried changing the slot in the Gathering section but it doesn’t work.
You need to also delete the entries in “gather by name” – gather by name will override the slot number
I am currently confused about it , is this farming every regular miner item or is it limited to certain items for the turn in only. Because i am halfway through the loop and its limited to around 6 items?
It currently only farms Artisanal items. See above if you want to change it.
Did you grab the last update (v1.05)? Because I pulled that node quite a ways out from the rock so you shouldn’t be getting stuck.
Haven’t gotten to look at any of the other stuff yet, been busy with IRL stuff lately.
Yup, 1.05 is where the issue lies. Seems to happen every time as well.
