Unsub if you don’t enjoy it, and don’t pick on the picture, I love it being there. Everything else is QoL which will come in time.

The Miqobot team appreciates any kind of constructive criticism, ideas and suggestions, therefore rude, silencing “if you don’t like it, go away” type comments are not appreciated.

I’m sure the suggestion of this topic will either be considered or at least the decision why resizing the window is not possible will be explained soon.

It’s absolutely safe to say that there’s always a couple of people that share those kinds of scenarios.

Past experience has shown that only a few weeks after Miqo is working again with a new xpac we usually already have multiple great, public grids & scenarios for every single gatherable item in the game, shared by the users using Miqobot. Our community is very active, healthy and willing to share their gathering grids publicly, so soon you’ll find everything you need in the Index threads, since I’m gonna update them frequently in the next couple of weeks.

I’ll miss the convenience of Miqobot for Crafting & Gathering on the first few weeks as well.

Yeah, since the addition of the MIN/BTN skill “The Giving Land”, direct raw node gathering for crystals has by far outclassed Ephemeral node item reduction.

Simply grab any gathering grid (doesn’t even have to be a scenario) for the crystal you want, make a rotation of The Twelve’s Bounty + The Giving Land, and let the bot do its job. You can get almost 100 crystals on top of the regular gathering every couple of minutes with that.

Firstly to the moderators and admins, please delete my thread if this forbidden. I just didn’t know what else to do.

First of all, I don’t think this topic is forbidden in any way. Unless Miqobot themselves say so it’s alright and there’s no need for deletion.

However yesterday I made the awful mistake of leaving a script for trying to buy a house, and when someone else got it they put a retainer and retainer-scammed me out of all my gil.

As others have pointed out, you didn’t get scammed, but you leaving Miqobot unattended got exploited. This is a risk you always have to bear in mind when using the bot.

I of course understand the risks involved in doing this and I am not asking for any charity, but if you happen to need a mogstation item, I’d be happy to gift it to you for some gil in an attempt to recoup some of my losses.

This is pretty risky, as GMs might possibly see this as a form of RMT.

Instead of doing so, my personal advice would be to organically recuperate your losses with Miqobot. There are multiple ways of doing so:
    1. If you have Botanist & Miner on max level you can run an infinite diadem scenario and let it farm tier 4 materials over an entire day (18 hours)(do not leave the game unattended). You can sell both the materials you farm, as well as the items you can buy with skybuilders’ scrips (from my experience the glamour gear is the most profitable). One day of Diadem can easily get you a couple million gil back.
    2. If you have some gil left, and you have a couple of crafters on max level you can buy materials for and craft exarchic gear to sell on the MB. Those pieces still sell. Aiming towards multi-job gear (like tank, healer, ranged or caster gear) is also a good idea
    3. An often underestimated option is to let Miqobot run trust dungeons over a day (not unattended). You can sell the dungeon gear at the NPC for a bit of gil, and most trust dungeons drop minions that can sell for quite a lot of gil (Holminster Switch’s Hayate minion sells for somewhere between 200-300k gil for example).

Honestly speaking, we don’t know, and except for the Square Enix staff nobody knows that for certain. Anything said about this topic is only based on anecdotal evidence.

Because of this, we always advise anyone to be careful with any kind of botting they do. As long as you don’t keep Miqobot unattended and your crafting sessions could realistically be done by a human, you should be absolutely safe.
All cases of people receiving a ban for using Miqobot I know of (me included), were caused by people not following these safety guidelines properly.

You have to estimate it yourself. Imagine a person that absolutely adores crafting and loves to do nothing else the entire day for weeks and months (yes, there are people like that). How much crafting would that person do, and when would that person do that? This will be your answer of how much crafting you can do, for how long and where.
There are people out there that craft 7 days a week for 18 hours a day.

Getting into an inn for botting completely eliminates the variable of players reporting you. However, it could in theory increase your chance of getting investigated by a GM, IF Square Enix has surveillance tools that show what items players are receiving, and when & where they are receiving them (and we don’t know if that is the case).

From my personal experience I’ve never read about anyone ever receiving a GM tell while botting with Miqobot. All I have seen is that some people (me included) received a 3-day ban for botting unattended over extended periods of time (multiple days without pause).

I’m stocking up on crafter materia and gatherer materia. These will sell incredibly well next xpac when crafters have to get new BiS gear, which will certainly use old materia for filler.

Also, extreme primal materials, because I expect at least some new craftable primal weapons (Shadowbringers was a massive letdown in that aspect, being the first xpac to not release every previous craftable primal weapon for the new jobs), which will sell for millions of gil on release.

Then I’ll precraft a bunch of leve items from the highest level levequests for crafters, to get a headstart and boost all my crafters to level 81 for the new leves. You can math out how many leves you need to turn in to jump that gap, based on previous exp tables.

Other than that I don’t know anything special I’ll stock up before the xpac.

If you manage to make a couple of good scenarios for fishing individual legendary fish, feel free to share them with the community. Those are very welcome and we have a MASSIVE lack of them.
I have started delving into big fishing quite a while ago and from my experience, this is a huge market gape that hasn’t been filled by anyone around here yet. Even though I already have most of the legendary fish, these kinds of scenarios would still be highly appreciated 🙂

I can also confirm that Miqobot works perfectly fine with Goat’s Quick Launcher. I’ve been using that launcher since early 2020, and never had problems with it and Miqobot. Both softwares should be perfectly compatible without any problems.

I’m gonna wait for @miqobot to confirm this is alright, before I add this to the Scenarios Index.
Either way, thank you for the effort 🙂

You can definitely make a scenario for catching big fish with specific conditions. Miqobot has the necessary tools for that. But you cant make a scenario that will catch all of them at once. There are thousands of different variables which are impossible to keep track of in a single scenario. You will need multiple scenarios to get there.

Its a good idea to use a fish tracker website like this one: https://ff14fish.carbuncleplushy.com/

I’m definitely not up to date on that matter, so I guess I was wrong in terms of the “what miqobot can detect and what you can work with” department.

However from my understanding it isn’t really possible to tie them all together. You can make a scenario for one specific big fish at a time, but you can’t make one to collect all of them depending on if you caught a specific fish and make some kind of priority list.

So yeah, you can make a scenario for specific fish, but not for all of them at once like Lyfox pointed out.

The miner and botanist achievements should be doable via scenarios. However, the fisher achievement is impossible to do for the following reasons:

To get that achievement you need 1140 different fish.
The first problem is, that fish bites are completely based on server-side RNG. Miqobot has no feature to act based on what fish you caught. It does detect which fish you caught, but there’s nothing you can do with that, so there’s no way to tell Miqobot “stop when you caught at least one of each of these fish”.
The second problem however is much more grave, and there’s nothing Miqobot can do about it: Catching big fish.
To get 1140 different fish, on top of catching every fish that is always available, you need to catch a ton of big fish that have very specific spawning conditions to make them available to bite at all, like current weather, a certain weather transition (like Clouds -> Thunderstorm), Eorzea Time, and that’s not even all of it. On top of that, some fish need the “Fisher’s Intuition” buff, which is a short (usually just 1-5 minutes) buff you get for catching certain fish during your current fishing session (i.e. if you teleport to another area or log out you lose it). Some fish need a specific overlap of all of these conditions, which results in some fish not being available to catch for weeks in real life.
And if that wasn’t already enough, you also need to catch a bunch of fish from Ocean fishing, where some also have all of the above conditions.
Also, Diadem fish do not count towards the achievement.

Just as an example: To catch Lancetfish there needs to be a weather transition from Fair Skies to Clouds, at 00:00 Eorzea time, and you need the fisher’s Intuition buff, which you get for catching two Mora Tecta (a very rare fish that’s only available from 22:00-23:59 ET during Fair Skies). Then, Lancetfish is only available for 2 Eorzea hours (6 minutes), and it bites extremely rarely + has a chance to escape even if it bites.

tl;dr: it’s not possible to automate that, since you need almost every fish in the game, minus the blue spectral current fish from Ocean Fishing, and the legendary big fish, which all have extremely specific spawning conditions.

Nope. The whole dodging thing in squadron dungeons or trust dungeons is actually hardcoded for those instances specifically.
These kinds of dungeons have specific layouts called arenas coded in Miqobot, with mechanics for all the specific mobs coded into the bot, so it can detect them. That’s one of the reasons why it always takes months to make a squadron/trust dungeon. Everything has to be done manually.

Nope, it’s not possible because the combat assist is not compatible with the scenario scripting engine.
You could at best try to make a scenario that navigates you to each mob’s location and kill it with a specific sendKey input, but if any other player kills even one mob that’s there it will break your scenario. Doing the dungeons can also be done via sendKey inputs. The FATEs however are impossible to do with that since they spawn randomly and there’s no way to anticipate them, and the Leves’ order is also random, plus the leves you need aren’t always available.

    That’s really unusual.

When I was banned my first time, I was farming Gold Saucer for an entire weekend straight during Make It Rain, and all I got was a 3 days suspension.
I’ve also never heard about anyone ever getting insta-permabanned.
Could you give us the e-mail – for science? Would also be a good reminder for everyone to play it safe.
