It’s a weird one though. It’s being flagged by MS’s own Defender. It was flagged initially, so I manually allowed it. The next morning at 1:30am Defender listed the same file as another virus, with another designation (also a Trojan), and proceeded to quarantine it automatically.

I’ve allowed it again, MS Defender is stupid, I trust the bot, weird that it’s only started with this most recent release though, maybe Miqo annoyed a competitor recently 😛

Just happened to me also with this new version, have been using previous versions for a couple of months with no issues.

Edit: Just figured out a workaround for people using Chrome and Windows 10 with Windows Defender Security.

1. After Chrome blocks the download press Ctrl+J to bring up download list which should show Miqobot.exe was blocked
2. Click on the miqobot.exe in the download list and it should manually re-download it without blocking it
3. Go into Windows Defender Security Center -> Virus and Threat protection -> scroll down to Exclusions and add the miqobot.exe to the exclusion list

You have to allow it from chrome. Once chrome stops it, click on the box and it should give you an option to still download it.

Previous versions of Miqobot are no longer supported.
Patch 5.1 has broken approximately 60% of the core modules and we had to reimplement them from scratch. Miqobot v1.3.29 is the only version that works with Patch 5.1.

False Positive is a bug in antivirus, but since we have no access to their source code we can not help them fix it.

First of all, verify that your antivirus software and firewall don’t interfere with Miqobot. Miqobot is not a virus, but antiviruses are usually trained to sic at anything that tries to interact with other programs. Even if you disable them, that might not help, because antiviruses leave background services behind. You might have to uninstall it.

Alternatively, you may try to white-list your Miqobot, but you’ll have to do that after every patch.

We highly recommend to report this behavior to your antivirus vendor.

I have been using Miqo for quite some time now and I was in battle and the battle assist just stopped.

So I checked Miqo and it said there is a 1.3.29 available, so when I went to download it, it shows the following screen shot.

It does not even allow me to bypass the message like normally to accept the download. It just flat out shows its a trojan.

Is this a known issue?

It’s okay I’m all good I have it downloaded and running. Just thought it was strange as I’d not experienced it with your exe before.
Also it was particularly specific about the Trojan name and type.

I love your bot though, I’d probably still run it even if it was chock full of viruses.

If so since its not fully functional at the moment if miqobot could add a crafting macro setting like the gathering rotations where we can input which skills we want to use in an order and save them into the bot to have multiple crafting macro options we create instead of having to key input the skills manually each time i want a different rotation this miqocrafter of yours would be the the absolute Don of automaton.

Have you had any feedback from the devs regarding this?

Currently miqobot does not support macro for crafting, unless I’m wrong.
That being said, if you have a set of “macro” you usually use in scenario, like a sequence of key inputs (only way I know), I could modify my tool to store them for you.
The idea would be to have like a library of macros in miqocrafter, and then it would insert the one you choose (I guess you’d like to potentially choose a different macro for each item) into the scenario it generates at the right place, instead of using miqobot solver.
I’m not sure that is an answer to your need, but let me know.

I could save the last search result I guess. Listing all craftable items ever takes time, but the search is pretty fast. Do you have a specific need to list all craftable items ?
I’ll think about adding a button to close a tab 🙂

As for the antivirus warning, this program does automatically download stuff from XIV Garland Tool and Miqobot forum, so in a way it can be seen as a machine learning tool. I can assure you that it’s safe though, but you’ll have to trust my word 🙂 (Or use fiddler and confirm that I’m not sending/receiving any other info than what is needed to generate the scenario – never trust anyone on the net)

Miqobot Devs currently have fixing the complete combat system up to level 70 as their #1 priority. A hotfix quick will not be released, because releasing too many versions always causes issues with anti-virus companies detecting Miqobot as a false-positive, thinking of it as a virus.
However, with the next major Miqobot version (v 1.3.28) the whole combat system will be reimplemented and fixed for all jobs from level 1-70. Please look forward to it 🙂

Do you see this file being created next to your Miqobot application? If not, then something is blocking Miqobot from creating and managing her files.

Please try the following solutions:

1. Verify that the folder that Miqobot resides in is not restricted for write access.
2. Move Miqobot to a different folder.
3. Run Miqobot as administrator.
4. Verify that your antivirus does not prevent Miqobot from creating files.

Miqobot saves your settings and presets in these two files:

• settings.miqo
• presets.miqo

They are generated when you first start Miqobot and are automatically updated when you close Miqobot.

Do you see these files being created and updated next to your Miqobot application?
If not, then something is blocking her from saving your presets.
Please try the following solutions:

1. Try running Miqobot as Administrator.
2. Try moving Miqobot to a different folder.
3. Make sure that Miqobot has full write access to the folder she resides in.
4. Make sure that your antivirus and firewall do not interfere with Miqobot.

We are sorry, but we couldn’t reproduce your issue in our labs.
However, this behavior usually indicates that there is a third-party application blocking Miqobot from loading the settings file. Please verify that your antivirus does not interfere with Miqobot application.
