And yes, if you manage to get logs for this behaviour in crafting, it would be most helpful. Crafting Solver constructs its mathematical model based on 74 different parameters, so without logs we can not reproduce or analyze your crafting environment.

Ah yes a little misplaced. Perhaps because its a global setting which is supposed to work with fishing as well when we get scenarios.

While I’m at my PC to watch her, gathering for aetherical reduction (fishing, mostly). Otherwise I use her crafting solver to churn out large quantities of HQ materials or gear (jewelry or leve items, mostly), or to gather bulk materials that usually sell for quite a bit at the time– usually stuff needed for collectable turn-ins. I sometimes also AFK-fish for illuminati perch, turn them in as collectables, and then use the scrips to buy and sell brute leeches if the market for them is decent.

Would it be possible to add the Snagging skill as one of the fishing presets? I love how Miqo remembers which settings I need for the type of fish I want to catch and I think it would be great if snagging was a part of those settings. I can never remember if the fish needs snagging or not 🙂

Let me know when you implement scenario scripting and navigation grids. I’ll switch over to the beta and see how fishing goes. Will Miqobot be able to talk with merchants to restock on fishing bait or repair at a mender?

Crafting, gathering, fishing, desynthesis, chocobo racing, mgp minigames, potd hoards scanning, 3d radar is also amazing for hunts and finding hidden stuff. Pretty much everything except automated combat yea. Its the youngest bot on the market and its doing so much better than others so imo totally worth it. And combat is coming in 1.3.0 if im not mistaken.

I would like to request feature for fishing when using skills to refill GP with cordials. Currently with using some skills like Patience, it uses a lot of GP to activate, but effect of Patience can be important. Effect of patience runs out long before refill of GP by normal regeneration. So option to use cordial to be able to use more skills for fishing can be useful. In case of Patience it increases a lot the amount of HQ fish.

Yes, this feature will be supported by Scenario Scripting.
Scenarios will be available in Miqobot v1.2.6.

Under certain conditions, the fishing function produces a mistake in the log and it gives the wrong name for the fish caught.
This is an example:
(5:02:13) 0x138B, 10.4 ilms, 44 lvl, nq, Yafaemi Boots of Healing
(5:02:32) Yay! Fish! Total: 87 – Time: 38.27/45
(5:02:32) It’s a tiny fish! :3
(5:02:40) 0x137D, 3.0 ilms, 41 lvl, nq, Steel Broadsword
(5:03:01) Yay! Fish! Total: 88 – Time: 38.75/45
(5:03:01) It’s a Okay fish! :3
(5:03:11) 0x138E, 29.7 ilms, 48 lvl, nq, Floating Minnow
These are not the fish names. This happens when mouse moves over any item in inventory, equipment or bar, even when game is in background.

Fishing preset is already there called ‘scrips (brute leech)’. Equip Brute Leeches as bait and fish in Thaliak River. Illuminati perches usually net me 900 blue scrips per hour: http://ff14angler.com/spot/70201

Unfortunately yes, Miqobot does include such feature 🙂
You may encounter it more often than you would like to.

• When you change settings for Sit or Rod Light while fishing, Miqobot may hit those icons more than once under specific conditions.
• In Chocobo Racing, Miqobot will try to follow the waypoints as accurate as possible, but due to lag and server side movement calculation it is impossible to match them precisely.
• In Minigames, Miqobot’s aiming capabilities highly depend on your ingame FPS. And so on.

This is happening because Miqobot only emulates keystrokes and does not use any code injections.
So yes, technically speaking it may be considered a safe implementation of the bot, as it is far from perfection.

However, the issues that arise from this method can be frustrating sometimes.

But we are doing our best to prevent them from affecting you gaming experience.

I would recommend fishing for blue-scrip botting. Find a spot in the hinterlands, set up the bot and let ‘er rip. It’s super inconspicuous to fish for hours and illuminati perch are easy to get

Indeed, we have another report of certain features not working properly on Japanese locale with Japanese version of the game. Apparently, Japanese locale causes issues with all versions of the game, including English.

We are already working on a fix.
It requires modification of core utilities used by Miqobot, so it will take some more time.

And yes, the Guides section will be updated very soon with new information about Gathering Rotations.
