I’ve been doing all of those things with my scenario. The problem is specifically with ocean fishing. Intuition bait changes based on weather. So if you have the intuition bait for Spectral Weather equipped during normal weather, you won’t catch anything at all, and if you have it set to the normal intuition bait during spectral weather you’ll only catch the normal bait.

Give workfor() a shot.

workFor( time )
Stop next activity after amount of time.
Both real and Eorzea time is supported.

Format is HH:MM[:SS].
For Eorzea time add “ET” at the end.

HH – hours
MM – minutes
SS – seconds (can be omitted)

Each activity will finish the ongoing action before stop.
Fishing will hook the current fish, gathering will dig the current node, crafting will synthesize the current item, and so on.

Note: Timer starts immediately when function is called. When chapter ends, timer is disabled.

I saw a couple of requests for ocean fishing presets. This one is sort of manual in that you have to choose which chapter you want to run based on the Zone and the Day. (I’d gladly update the functionality if there is a way to call a chapter based on zone and time with Miqo?)

The other issue it has is that it doesn’t have the ability to change to two different types of intuition buffs. While ocean fishing (to truly get the rarest fish) you need a different bait for intuition during normal fishing and yet another bait for intuition under spectral weather.

I’ve been troubleshooting it for a little while now and it seems to work well enough. Came in second place twice, and 3rd the next time. Let me know if you find errors and I’ll try to update it. You do need plump worm, krill, and ragworm for baits.

I personally only use it if I’m in the room. Fishing while reading a book or watching tv, etc. So far I’ve never had any problems with it or even had anyone say anything to me.

Is there a way to do conditionals or text triggers for Scenarios? As in, can I make it see something happen (Spectral Current as an example), then do a switch bait function with a new intuition buff and go right back to fishing. Even if it just watched the log file for text triggers, that’d be an amazing addition.

honestly I dont even know why the long wait for the “– Collectable Gathering revamp” but anyways I as well as alot of people already have a work around for the – Collectable Gathering revamp.

works like a charm and took me less then a day to make this macro when i ran into needing to farm the gathering script while this maybe slower then miqobot doing it her self its a band-aid untill the “– Gathering updates”

so i would be okay with postponeing this for the 50/60/70’s hard mode dungeon’s you dont need to do all of them just one of the top tier dungoen’s in eatch category for anima weapon farming find the dungeon that provides the balance of do-able and anima weapon atheric density
NOTE: you can farm your anima weaopns on the “hard modes” not just the raids though raids are still an option if its easier then the dungeons and thies are to be unsynced like how the howling eye extream is

in my opnion “– Collectable Gathering revamp” can be bumped below the “– Level 80 Rotations” or even combined with the “– Gathering updates”

As I like to sit and watch it run sometimes or sit near it while it runs, I’d love to have a button with a field over by Miqo that would allow me to type something in and hit “send”. That text field would then be input into the chatbox of the game (pausing activity just long enough to do that).

I.E. Ocean fishing with friends and someone says something in group. I click the text box on Miqobot, type in /p Ok and then hit send. It pauses the fishing just long enough to enter /p OK into game, responding in group chat and goes right back to fishing.

Not really sure if anyone has done this or not but here is a scenario that goes into diadem and fishes for about 2 hours and 40 minutes alternating between the Wind island and the Lightning Island every 20 minutes. It is set to repair gear every 40 minutes. After the timer is done it will leave and re-enter diadem and continue.

It does not care about the weather that is going on as if there is a way to make it go to a location based on weather… I never figured that out. Also note that in order for the scenario to work you need to start it outside of the NPC to go into diadem.

New here so sorry if this is in the wrong channel I was wondering if it was possible to get a feature for fishing so you could use Identical Cast, make like a slot where you could type the Fish name that it would use Identical Cast on.

Some of them have already been implemented and additional options for advanced fishing are planned in the future.

I have been using the fishing cast timer trick, as featured in the Blue Crab Fishing thread, for a while and thought how convenient it would be if it were added to the fishing preset settings in Miqobot.

Timer would apply to normal cast and wouldn’t for mooching.

This would add a key function to automated fishing.

im sure there are redundancy’s in there but there is no clear tutorial on miqobot and its features so im experimenting and seeing what works with what little help i can get form the help ? in miqobot its self and the comunity is nice to gather info from but its better to have that kind of info on hand then haveing to always ask for it

useing thies people can get more hit’s and or items off of fewer nodes its a way to reward people who deckout thier gathers in high-end gear and believe me they are makeing use of it XD and yes you are right the special nodes do rack in alot more points then the basic one’s.

Sadly i still have not found away to favor thies special nodes while also gathering the normal ones and the weather check feature is not advanced enough it requires endless scenario commands to check the weather ( it was made with the intenion of only being used for fishing at set times of the day ) so at the moment this is what we are stuck with.

Note: how ever i did find a neet trick ( but still requires you to be at your computer to manually trigger it ) if you put prospects ( for miners ) on your hot bar and keybind it something simple like “num3” is my keybind for it, when a special node pops up you can then turn off prospect which will disable lay of the land 1 & 2 forceing miqobot to use “truth of the mountains” and takeing you right to the special node once miqobot is on the way to the special node you can hit “num3” again to turn prospect back on allowing miqobot to use lay of the land 1 & 2 once again

sadly not i am still working on figureing out how the weather features work in the bot, for now it only works by the mini-map miqobot will still hit those special nodes though if it happens to be near by its not often but it dose happen

UPDATE: i am by far no expert on the matter but it looks as though the good weather / bad weather would need to be in its own scenario and constantly checking for the weather conditions and that would not work in a gathering scenario like this as the bot can only do one or the other constantly searching for the weather conditions or gathering the node’s.

The good weather / bad weather was originally made for fishing them legendary fish 🐠 while it can be incorporated into a gathering scenario like this its inefficient, if you would like i can try to make a scenario just for them special nodes but it dont look like it’s posible to incorporate it into this gatheirng scenario
