If you manage to make a couple of good scenarios for fishing individual legendary fish, feel free to share them with the community. Those are very welcome and we have a MASSIVE lack of them.
I have started delving into big fishing quite a while ago and from my experience, this is a huge market gape that hasn’t been filled by anyone around here yet. Even though I already have most of the legendary fish, these kinds of scenarios would still be highly appreciated 🙂
Thanks for the quick reply, I must have completely missed it. Tried it out in the South Shroud during thunderstorms attempting to catch https://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Namitaro however, when fisher’s intuition swaps up, my bait doesn’t swap to Topwater Frog. I’m wondering whether I’ve messed up the order of the scenario?
It is currently:
setFishNoIntuitionPreset(Levelling)
setFishNoIntuitionBait(Glowworm)
setFishIntuitionPreset(Shroud)
setFishIntuitionBait(Topwater Frog)
startFishing(60)
Attempting to finish my fishing log by catching a number of legendary fish. Wondered if there’s an option in the bot to change bait after a certain fish has been caught/state applied? I May have missed it, but it’d really help with the process if not implemented.
For anyone who was having difficulty/needed it more compact, I reorganized the chapters to have all 3 locations in one chapter. No changes to the way fish are caught. Chapter 1 is the key to tell you where to go. Sunset is 2-5, Night is 6-9, Day is 10-13. I organized them in the order the schedule is currently. Also, note for anyone who got super confused like I did, on jakebnda’s scenario, there’s a typo in the comments in chapter 32. It says The Cieldalaes Sunset when it’s actually Daytime for that part of the scenario.
May be of aid to anyone new to using this to make a list of all the ocean fishing baits needed to run , as some aren’t the main three kirll plump or rag.
for those curious its
rat tail
glowworm
squid strip
heavy steel jig
shrimp cage feeder
I may just be uninformed but i didnt know you needed these

Hi guys, was using this to get my skyward points up and decided to tweak it a bit.
– Added conditions to change bait based on weather. As far as I’m aware theres still no way to make you move somewhere based on weather but at least this way you have a chance of getting the rare fish.
– Added a line to eat food before each fishing session. If you don’t have the food FC buff you may want to adjust your fishing preset to 30 mins.
– Added a line to extract materia at the end of chapter 3.

Hey all. New Guy here. Just wondering where the best place to put a suggestion.
My suggestion would be a pause button added to the scenario tab.
My specific use case is that when using the crafting scenario builder, I was collecting mats. When truth of mountains hit. I’d like to pause and go get that. then just resume. Yes I can stop the scenario, and restart it and skip to chapter. But this would be a nice quality of life improvement. There is a pause button elsewhere, not sure if it is in gathering or fishing. Works perfectly.
Hello all,
I’m standing in the middle of the river on my fishing job with rod and bait set and when I hit start nothing happens, eventually I’ll get a miqobot error that says Cast skill not available. Anyone have any ideas on why it’s not working? Thanks
tl;dr: it’s not possible to automate that, since you need almost every fish in the game, minus the blue spectral current fish from Ocean Fishing, and the legendary big fish, which all have extremely specific spawning conditions.
Thanks Arc, for the details explanation ! appreciate it!
I’ve also gone thru the scenario index and i have not seen any of miner’s and botanist presets. may i confirm with you that there aren’t any here at the moment?
The miner and botanist achievements should be doable via scenarios. However, the fisher achievement is impossible to do for the following reasons:
To get that achievement you need 1140 different fish.
The first problem is, that fish bites are completely based on server-side RNG. Miqobot has no feature to act based on what fish you caught. It does detect which fish you caught, but there’s nothing you can do with that, so there’s no way to tell Miqobot “stop when you caught at least one of each of these fish”.
The second problem however is much more grave, and there’s nothing Miqobot can do about it: Catching big fish.
To get 1140 different fish, on top of catching every fish that is always available, you need to catch a ton of big fish that have very specific spawning conditions to make them available to bite at all, like current weather, a certain weather transition (like Clouds -> Thunderstorm), Eorzea Time, and that’s not even all of it. On top of that, some fish need the “Fisher’s Intuition” buff, which is a short (usually just 1-5 minutes) buff you get for catching certain fish during your current fishing session (i.e. if you teleport to another area or log out you lose it). Some fish need a specific overlap of all of these conditions, which results in some fish not being available to catch for weeks in real life.
And if that wasn’t already enough, you also need to catch a bunch of fish from Ocean fishing, where some also have all of the above conditions.
Also, Diadem fish do not count towards the achievement.
Just as an example: To catch Lancetfish there needs to be a weather transition from Fair Skies to Clouds, at 00:00 Eorzea time, and you need the fisher’s Intuition buff, which you get for catching two Mora Tecta (a very rare fish that’s only available from 22:00-23:59 ET during Fair Skies). Then, Lancetfish is only available for 2 Eorzea hours (6 minutes), and it bites extremely rarely + has a chance to escape even if it bites.
tl;dr: it’s not possible to automate that, since you need almost every fish in the game, minus the blue spectral current fish from Ocean Fishing, and the legendary big fish, which all have extremely specific spawning conditions.
I’d say be careful using it around other players, look into what people are saying on the forums, and probably practice with it on NPC dungeons (squadrons/trusts) first to get a feel what what she does and doesn’t do, but other people have certainly done it and been fine.
An important thing to note is that she will not target new enemies, at least in my experience. She’ll apparently switch off to heal your party members if you’re a healer, but if the mob dies, you will need to target the next one. Probably fine for bosses, but might be a little suspicious in group pulls of weaker mobs.
Also note that she can use positionals, dashes, and backsteps, but all of them are used blind, which is to say that she does NOT take into account obstacles or the arena you’re in. She can and will backstep you right off the combat arena if you’re not careful.
Keep in mind that my personal experience with combat assist is minimal: I’ve used it for about five minutes in a squadron dungeon. I mostly use the radar, MGP minigames, crafting, and fishing. If someone who has more experience with combat assist wants to chime in, trust their word in the event of conflicting information.
Yes, better Diadem and Ocean Fishing support are already planned as a part of upcoming Gathering updates.
Time and weather-based chapter selection is something we wanted to do a long time ago, but other features have taken priority.
Thank you for your request!
First off, thank you for this wonderful program. It has allowed me to do two things at the same time and save my sanity from repetitive things.
Would it be possible to set up conditional statements in a chapter and depending on the known data push you to a specific chapter? An example would be in chapter 1, you specify weather conditions. Based on what weather is found it forwards you to a specific chapter. You can run that chapter for a predetermined amount of time, or possibly trigger the weather clause again and go back to chapter 1 to loop the whole thing over again.
I see something like this helping in the Diadem as well as Ocean Fishing. Knowing what time and whether you are in you can specify a chapter to fish for the correct fish.
Version 1.03
– Added more waypoints from start area to fishing area
– Changed from single waypoint to random waypoint to travel to the fish island
– Added more fishing waypoints
– Made our time in the Diadem a little shorter. It fits without our food buff cycle now
– Attempts to buy Butterworms from the vendor when we first enter the Diadem after repairing. It will buy Butterworm x99x2 which was like 600ish gil

Thank you for this! Fishing at 51 atm and still going strong! but I would recommend that it doesn’t just immediately land on the edge of the island and start fishing randomly. Maybe randomized waypoints where it goes over to different parts of the island? Just to randomize it and make it less “detectable”
