    thanks for the quick responses to this and my other post about ffxiv jail.

    any ETA on this being released?

    or any testers needed? I was involved in the computer software development field for over two decades and know how to write a proper bug report.

    saw you guys have a search feature and found treasure-hunt … yours shows oodles of buried coffers;

    … I had the same boxes checked as below;

    I found one <sad face>

    diadem is mostly empty theses days, do the coffer spawn rate coincide with the publication of diadem?

    or have they taken them out of the game (all but that lonely one in the ant cave)

    FFXIV JAIL

    they are out there … but I don’t think they have anywhere near the staff Wow has, hell with Wow you report a problem and you’ll be talking to a GM in 15~45 mins, but with FFXIV it takes hours/days for them to respond to a problem, and they do it without ever talking one on one … just a form email.

    And if you watch the video, they could have found this by someone reporting them, or a simple text search.

    a huge point with any mmo, if you found a cheat, or use a bot, do not tell anyone! friends in any mmo can change at any given second. … and never brag about gil, mgp, items, etc gotten faster then humanly possible.

    For example [on Tuesday] “I only have 200k MGP.” [on Friday] “Check out my cool Fenrir mount!!!”

    People you think are friends can be jealous dicks.

    but if they are out there you can throw them off your trail w/ another program … I use a macro program that records mouse movements and clicks, and it can be set to a timer … create more then one set of waypoints different of the others for the same thing, and every rotation or set time, change to another set of waypoints … its a good work around until scenario is released.

    in the past, in other mmos I’ve seen gm’s play normal characters … they play content, they talk to people like players, they join guilds, etc.

    its like under cover NYC police driving a taxi

    and yeah, if they wanted to be hidden, why would they show up on the client?

    Theres an issue though. There is no way to switch between Miner and Botanist. So bot will be active only half of the time. I assume it will be addressed with that scenario thing?

    I’d use a third party macro creator to get the most out of Miqobot features … so all anyone would need to do is have the macro change jobs for you at a set time… and remember that a day in game is 72 mins earth time, so you would need to create a 72 mins long macro.

    So start at a set time (ex. Noon in game) so your macro is in-sync w/ Miqobot & node spawn the next time you start it … I use Pulover’s Macro Creator b/c it records mouse movements and clicks, but there are many that do this out there, just google 🙂

    And if you make a few different gird patterns for the same thing you could then use this to switch the grid pattern you’re using to look less bot like … its what I do for chocobo racing.

    I create a new set of Waypoints for each chocobos and their different abilities, and then test the waypoints to make sure its what I want, and if not, recreate …

    Also I use Pulover’s Macro Creator along with a few waypoints for the same level and map, each one a little different then the other. I set Miqobot to run one race, and use the Pulover’s Macro Creator to pick a different waypoint for each race and to have it start the race, anyone in a race with me, or if Square Enix is watching somehow, they’ll see I do not behave they same way within each race. … how my the waypoint differ, sometimes I jump over the bad Panels, other runs I squeeze by them to the left or right … and do the same with the ‘bad guys’ that stand in the way.

    Here are a few good tips; when you create your own waypoints, keep out of the SE bots way by sticking to the other side of the track and let them destroy each other and not you. also if you’re not winning 90% plus of your races you’ll need to put some time into breeding … and with breeding, you can only hold one of the ‘pickup papers’ they give you at a time, but you can dump that paper on a retainer and and go back and breed another … so you can breed one for each retainer you have and one on yourself, so when you have your stack of baby chocobos register one, and if you don’t like the stats, retire it, and try the next one… there is no reason to level/race one with bad stats unless you want it for breeding.
