    But topicstarter clearly asked:

is there a way to get miqobot to just press that button for each craft

It seems he does not want to import anything, and is ok with limitations. In any case… maybe just let him decide? And also:

Ingame macros have a minimum delay of 1second, miqo works double as fast

Either I got it wrong, or that’s just impossible. My scripts have manually set delays, figured out by trial-and-error method. The shortest buffs have 1750ms delay; the longest (all synthesis actions) – 3250ms.

It depends on your retainer item level. If you gear him up he brings 10 skins per 40 minutes.

Heh, I don’t even have any green lvl80 eq myself, so I doubt my retainer ever gets that good stuff. Maybe in the end of ShB, when skins will cost nothing alteady… hehe.

And with 9 retainers its 90 skins per 40 minutes.

Well, I guess this part is completely out of question for me ๐Ÿ™‚ With 9 retainers you have to pay what, 2x more monthly for each account? With that much money one could just buy gil instead! ๐Ÿ˜€

Miqo uses skills in faster succession, makes sure abilities go off in case of lag, allows for collectable activation deactivation, implementation in scenarios and starts new crafts faster.

Note: the topicstarter has an in-game macro (with pre-set delays). How can Miqo make it any faster or any lag-proof??

guy that doesnโ€™t want to spend money on overpriced leather

To me, there is no such thing as “overpriced leather”. The only thing that has REAL price to me is my time (or, well, at least my toons’ time). In case this time can be converted into gil at better rate than manually gathering needed stuff, I go for that better way, and use the gil received to buy whatever I need.

But, indeed, you are free to use YOUR retainers as much as you want to ๐Ÿ™‚ Above mentioned is my personal PoW, and my answer to 4DDCom.

So I already have a single ingame macro that allows me to craft collectables

You don’t even need Miqo for that. Google this: AutoHotKey. Learning might be a bit troublesome at begin unless you are programmer or at least scripter, though.

Retainers bring pure dye, which sell for 400k each, free money.

Well… I bet they don’t bring it from every quick venture, do they? I did quick ventures as well, and made some statistics… even though it was back in SB content, profit was extremely crappy. In most cases they were bringing combat greens, which I disenchanted into battlecraft demimateria III (at the “1 materia per 3 items or so” rate), but as battlecraft is not even close to fieldcraft, my average income from every venture was at about 2k gil. Taking into account that old sands and ores (like palladium, durium etc) did cost about 400 gil even in the end of SB, common ventures made me 8k gil of profit per single venture (as opposed to 2 ventures spent to quick ones), I just stopped running quick ventures totally.

Though, I’d like to see some statistics of quick ventures in the world! But yes, I mean average profit over the long run (some 20-40 ventures at least), because it relies on luck too much.

Also they provide you with leather for leveling your crafters and endgame gear. Thats it, not reliable for grinding mats to sell indeed.

But you can as well make your toon grind without returning to retainers, then sell your extra loot and buy leather for your crafters. This is how I craft, usually… I’m not one of these I-use-for-crafts-my-own-mats-only guys.

Me? Doubt it. My combat retainer brings 5 leather per hour, which means 15k gil or a bit more. I didn’t try grinding with Miqo yet (my gf occupied it for crafting), but according to market prices of Dwarven Cotton, Dimythrite and so forth, a single minute of grinding nodes would bring you more than 20k. Now, teleporting from your grind place, getting close to bell, running your retainer script, teleporting back to nearest aetheryte and flying back to set of nodes takes definitely more than 1 min.

Conclusion? I don’t bother. Retainers are useless, unless you are crafting in a city / near bell anyway.

o_O Mobs actually drop loot in the new world? I did it 70 -> 80 without having any single piece of loot from mobs… Anyway, I guess the most effective way to farm Sea Swallow Skin would be grinding new FATEs and buying skins for gemstones – which would require real combat implementation, though.

Not that I’d pray for this feature being implemented – too much effort for too little profit, I guess. I’d say the same thing I always said: “little effort, major impact” is the key to victory.

If there was ever something “the most profitable”, everyone would start to train it, and it would become the least profitable in no time.

Also, protip to that. Go to your sound settings and set it like this:

Yea, good idea, but this one I knew already. It does not really help once you get more than one account… let alone as many accounts as your CPU lets you run at the same time ๐Ÿ™ Well, let’s just pray for real vendor support to come out sooner, and then we won’t need these tricks, hehe!

Yup. Also, by the way: When a GM messages you, you will get a very distinct and unique system sound notification on every whisper.

Wow! Is there any way to redefine it (replace sound file with loud siren, for example)? This way you won’t need to launch an instance of ACT per each instance of the game! Or they ban for such actions?

You can as well just abbreviate your grids and scenarios…

It would be a giveaway. No real player would use compass for more than 5 first mins of farming some set of nodes – real humans just memorize node locations, while one who spams compass after every 2 nodes is certainly a bot.

If you set your FFXIV to window-mode (not borderless fullscreen as usual) and minimize the window, you can move your mouse all you want and Miqo will not care about it at all.

O_O Fun… thanks, I’ll try it! Though, it makes me quite uneasy when I don’t see at least a small bit of each my toon’s screen (i.e. can’t be sure if it is doing its job, or stopped due to some bug, or just disconnected)…

I made my two grids for Dwarven Cotton Boll and Lignum Vitae Logs in like 10 minutes and theyโ€™re not too bad Iโ€™d say, so 2 hours would make a hell of a grid.

Yes, making the grid itself is really a ten minutes job; though, that’s playtesting and polishing that takes 1-2 hours more. Well, it’s easy when you make a grid for, say, Bomb Ash – almost completely flat terrain with no way to fly etc. Though, it’s way more funnier in HW/SB/ShB content… Usually I try to make a grid which would make my toons run in smooth circles, never backtracking, using shortest possible routes from each possible node to each other, without touching obstacles, without aggroing mobs (FATEs included) etc. This can take quite a bit of time in case you grind some mountainous terrain filled with monsters of your level… for example, molybdenum ore grid took me some 3 hours to perfect.

And as he is a real pro in the develpment of such content i am eager to see his work.

Actually, the best way to see my work would be to provide me with some API/source libs so I can implement features like vendor support myself ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m a programmer, after all, and I’ve been participating this way or that in every bot project I used until now. Though, if you want to see my grids, you’ll have to wait for about two-three more days: I won’t start using Miqo myself until my gf raises her DoH skills at least to a minimum level required for delivery quests, as she doesn’t want to use my crafting scripts, hehe… and we’ve got just a single licence for us two. Not sure if it’s worth waiting, as creating your own grids takes maybe a hour or two.

We understand the demand and have already planned NPC Vendor implementation in the near future.

YEHOO! Thanks bunch for this answer! And sorry for bugging you %) I mean, it’s way easier to wait when you know that the most needed feature comes out in the near future rather than nobody-knows-when.

Just keep in mind that you shouldn’t even touch your mouse while bot uses sendKey() sequences (which are also vulnerable to lag bursts).

I guess we (who want fully hands-free bot which can grind even while we sleep) should start sacrificing lalafels while praying for vendor support implementation too, some day. I mean, hey – it worked to summon Miqo in no time (I didn’t even finish getting all my DoH skills to 80), so maybe it works for us too? %)
