From what I know from other games, in case your account is marked for banwave, in most cases banwave comes right before some addon/expansion. This tactic covers two goals: first, it might hit botters who have bought and entered their addon codes already (thus giving devs extra money for nothing); second, it reduces amount of hate and whine which comes from people returning to try the addon. So my question is: when is it safe to assume you are not banned this time, to buy and apply ShB codes on all botting accounts? Today at evening? at night?
The problem with doing it that way is that you are already behind other crafters/gatherers, even if it is a day or 2.
Doubt it… At least, I doubt that majority of FFXIV players is able to play 18 hours a day, like me 😉
A botter at the end of the expansion can easily craft 1 set of (currently Rakshasa) gear (tbh the weapon and one armor would already be sufficient) and be good to instantly do content of the next expansion (where he automatically get new gear).
Indeed. This would be my “last resort – to be used in case hopes for free eq fail”. I.e. in either case I’m not going to grind poetics, hehe…
Also, if you had to do all quests from 4.1 up to 4.5 you’d be wasting a huge amount of time, you could already be unlocking all Shadowbringers areas to farm stuff there and make enormous profits.
Oh, no way 🙂 I read dialogues in advance (from some guys blog) while Miqo grinds, then I just take manual control at evening, start doing MSQ and spamclick through everything – dialogues and cutscenes alike. Also, there is no point to leave 4.1 and 4.2 content incomplete: there will be no coffers anyway. That said, I did full quest chain of 4.2 in about 2 hours rl. Granted, there are no oblighatory dungeons… which would otherwise add one more hour per content. So, basically, 21 quests of 4.3-4.5 content + 3 dungeous should take like… 9 hours or so. Not really a problem, IMHO.
Selling new crafted items from Shadowbringers zones for completing levequests (they go away EXTREMELY expensive.
I believe, though… well, I’m not as interested in momentary profit of first days. What I’m really interested in is decent scenario for full time grind, which would work until next addon comes out (i.e. for 2 years) 🙂
This is what I mean: stop at the last quest of 4.2 (Rise of a New Sun), wait until ShB comes out, complete the last 21 quests of SB+ plotline (takes a day or so I guess), receive free sets of ilvl340-360 stuff and enter ShB content? Should be better than farming current endgame eq, I guess (because more dungeous mean less coins on the wallet).
The only thing that is required is, that you have completed the Stormblood Storyline until there are no MSQuests anymore.
Are you sure this is sane idea [for a botter]? I mean, right now you receive nothing for completion of 4.1+ quests; though, you have to waste a lot of time to gather stuff which allows you to enter ilvl-restricted dungeons. Oldbie players say that HW -> SB border did look like this too, but as soon as SB was out, SE added to old quests from 3.3 content (Causes and Costs & The Man Within) coffers with full sets of ilvl240 eq. Now I wonder: maybe it would be better idea to quest up as far as 4.2 and stop there? Following this pattern, they should add coffers with some nice stuff (ilvl340? maybe even 360?) to 4.3 quests (Gosetsu and Tsuyu+), for us to receive for free?
You can have the full stats as well, since it won’t matter anymore in 3 days, when my stats are gonna change again, anyways. 1710 Craft, 1759 Control, 482 CP without food and drink.
Overmeld just a single cheapest CP materia into your weapon, and you will be able to use one of my favorite:
Of course, you will need some HQ intermediate mats to be sure you craft HQ infusions (unless you reach as high control as shown on johnb’s screenshot) – which is quite easy, given that crafting these mats from base ingridients produces about 80-90% HQ as well.
Funny enough I just tested his “24 button magical setup” on my level 70 and it results in this:
Well, it looks like you have to remove Observe from your hotbar as well… As I’ve said above, I was using it in a single craft only, to receive 1 CP out of Comfort Zone. Miqo, on the other hand, uses it non-stop, wasting CPs and charges of Steady Hand…
Also, as I shown in another topic with examples, Crafter Solver is 20% less effective than perfect crafting sequences, so what did you expect?
Arc: I hope your question is answered by johnb; but if not (i.e. Alchemy is not your speciality), then gimme your approx stats (without 1-2 last digits or so), and I’ll see what could be done. I myself don’t have any problems with it because of the reason you know already, probably: Alchemy is one of my speciality skills.

Something tells me that ShB is going to follow the same general route, which means we are going to buy some new folklore tomes… which, again, boils down to need for vendor interaction command.
June 22, 2019 at 3:11 pm in reply to: Updated Yellow Gatherers Scrip Scenario (Repair + Turn In) #13737As much as I personally would love to see Vendor and Inventory support, e.g If 3 slots left go turn in, buy x of this and x of that, keep farming.
I’d manage to live without inventory support (just free enough space and calibrate workUntil() so it returns to turn in in advance, while there are some 10-20 slots left still, even in the best case when you were lucky wich Discerning rolls, and obtained lots of collectables). I’d withdraw my eq convert request (as I realize now that there is another way to farm materia – which, still, requires buying it from vendor). Vendor support, on the other hard… it’s simple irreplaceable!!! SendKey() sequences are not even close as effective as, say, automated DeliverCollectables()…
If you’re lvl70 and have done all class quests you can easily make this cordial-free by delaying the gathering by a few seconds (:05 to :15/25)
Won’t work. The more you wait before second unspoiled, the less time you get to regen until you have to dig the third one. At best, you can create a scenario where you have to drink cordials once per 4 hours ET… dunno about once per 6 hours. Cordial-free, OTOH, is impossible with 650 CP rotation.
June 22, 2019 at 11:18 am in reply to: Updated Yellow Gatherers Scrip Scenario (Repair + Turn In) #13719This scenario is fully hands free, but will cap at 2000 Scrips.
I.e. it’s fully hands free… for some 1-1.5 hours or so, at best. Heck… vendor support… a thing we need SOOO much 🙁
