I am definitely a casual player and I don’t have any interest in Miqo becoming a professional grind-bot. I get to play maybe every other weekend, my attention span is too short to remember complex combat rotations and often I have other distractions and need to drop everything. Miqo is an absolute godsend for me, without it I wouldn’t play FF14 at all.
I’ve investigated the other bots out there, none come anywhere near as close to the features, user-friendliness or value for money that Miqo offers. Please keep up the good work, the latest update is amazing and I am really enjoying the current direction of this application.
I’d just like to note that the frequency of player commendations I get since the big combat update has increased a heck of a lot!
Thank you for all your efforts!
Depends what you mean by minimal involvement, melee classes need to position themselves, casters need to manage cast times, of the physical DPS, dancer has two issues, one is that its aoe is mostly melee, and the timing of dances can make you look quite silly unless you manage them yourself, so all in I’d say bard as it’s more complete than machinist.
The ones I found incredibly useful for levels 71 – 79 can be found on this page:

This allows you to pretty much HQ everything with NQ materials with the level 70 scrip gear. Only thing to note is Miqo doesn’t support tricks of the trrade in macros so that’ll need to be removed.

I don’t think I ever saw the solver use waste not when I had it enabled – it always seemed to prefer master’s mend. Same with ingenuity – the very few times it was used wasn’t worth the time for the inclusion within the calculation. Sometimes with this checked it could take over 30 seconds to calculate a solve. I think it’s something to do with its tendency to prefer tricks over everything else. Maybe without tricks enabled it’s used more.
I found it a much better use of time to gather HQ materials if necessary. That was pretty much the only way to more or less guarantee an HQ craft.
Post 70:
Once you get to level 71 macros are much more versatile and can HQ pretty much everything assuming you have the yellow scrip gear set or better. The solver is basically redundant apart from crafting low level stuff.
For reference, this is my LEVEL 80 action setup macro. No tricks, hasty touch is only there because the solver doesn’t like it if it’s missing. This then covers the solver and all useful macros from level 1 to level 80**. I got my macros and gear setups from ff14guild and xivcraftingguide websites.

I think careful synthesis is used as well. The best way to make low level HQ items is to have some HQ materials to hand.
The solver can only do so much at low levels, its major reliance on hasty touch and tricks means that the outcome is never going to be 100% reliable if you’re not over-levelling the craft.
I wouldn’t bother too much with melding at that level, better just to grind through it, it gets a lot more reliable after 50 with careful synthesis 2 and byregot’s blessing.
Up to 50: Ixali dailies, levequests, grand company turn-ins, grinding.
50 – 70: Custom deliveries, Moogle(50-60) and namazu (60-70) dailies, levequests, collectables, grinding, grand company turn-ins
70+: Crystarium deliveries, custom deliveries, levequests, collectables, grinding, grand company turn-insThis is what I did, in order of preference. I only did the grand company turn-ins and levequests/ collectables when I didn’t need to spend half the day gathering mats for them. Collectables with easily obtainable mats are especially good for grinding as they don’t have a limit and they provide yellow scrips to get the manuals.
Always do class quests. I usually spent the first part of every expansion making HQ versions of the starter gear to take me through the xpac.
Hi, first off thanks for making something that’s easy to use and makes large portions of the game a joy rather than a complete grind.
I understand that the crafting solver is not optimal past level 70, so I am using a macro that has tricks of the trade in it, however miqobot gets stuck if not good or excellent. The reason tricks is in there is because it goes trick -> great strides -> byregots and it is to ensure that byregots does not run on poor condition.
Is there a method to get miqobot to ignore the fact the skill can’t be used and to move on past it rather than repeat it endlessly?
