Yes. DPS should still be better than many pugfinder group players that can also clear it. Just don’t expect purple or orange numbers.

LoV wasn’t forgotten after 2.55, since it wasn’t even a thing until 3.1.

Would love this put in, mostly for the 24 missions but also for the other stupid cheevos I’ve yet to earn.

You don’t really need a bot to “solve” lord of verminion for you. Just buy the Wind up Kojin from the Kojin beast tribe and roflstomp anything. That minion is extremely fast, does ridiculous tower damage (breaking a whole tower in about 20-25 seconds where other pets need a few minutes) and the icing on the cake is, that it has an AoE heal spell, if anything goes awry. I completed every challenge only with Wind up Kojins and Wind up Gentlemen (he’s for boss fights) in no time.

Alright, let me give you some answers:

    1. “Can’t the game check if there’s a Miqobot process running, for example?” – Exactly this. Final Fantasy XIV has zero client-side protection against bots at all. Their only “automated protection” is server-side and it only checks for unnatural behavior, like memory edits and position value edits (i.e. teleport-hacks).
So if you don’t warp around the map with some memory editing injection bots, there is nothing Square Enix can do to detect that you’re botting, aside from looking at players reporting you and having a special task force GM go to your location and inspect your behavior / whisper you and check if you’re afk botting.

    2. No. FFXIV has no detection for that either and also it wouldn’t make sense, because there is an option in the game settings for controllers to stay active and usable, while the game client is inactive / in the background, so you can keep playing the game, even if it was minimized. I did that a lot back in Eureka, while I was watching youtube vids and netflix (because my browser keeps lagging on 1080p streams when it’s not in the foreground).

    3. As for right now, the only features that allow some randomization are scenario scripting and the gold saucer minigame farming (and there the randomization is only the amount of times you play a certain minigames and the afk-period duration). However more randomization options are planned for a Quality of Life update.

As an example, I have installed the Penumbra 10 skin for windows, which also changes the system color scheme and because of this, my Miqobot conveniently looks like this:

I also really loved the crafting solver during Stormblood, since even macros with good stats didn’t always net you 100% HQ, if you used 0 HQ items, but quite honestly, especially since Shadowbringers, with the implementation of Delicate Synthesis and Preparatory Touch (which are beyond broken skills), crafting has become so perfectly macroable, that the crafting solver would only really help for a maximum laziness level for me (i.e. if I really don’t want to take 1 minute to open Teamcraft and quickly simulate an HQ rotation for lower level crafts, so I don’t finish the recipe early).

In my opinion what would be much more helpful, would be a crafting macro parser, that makes crating macros in Miqobot much quicker and easier, than manually typing in every single keypress for the macro, because macros are absolutely over the top strong right now (heck, people can even make macros, that “waste” 60 GP and still HQ items 100% in just a handful of steps – waste in quotation marks, because Reuse isn’t really a waste on expensive recipes).

    Maximalism FTW 🙂

Yes, that is the very nature of Miqobot. Every feature is carefully developed and made very elaborate, to be highly functional and easy to use, for high QoL.

Other than that, I guess it is time to conclude this debate.
We have gathered a lot of input from the community and it was quite productive.
The Miqobot Dev Team is also very grateful and pleased with the results of this debate.

We now have a lot of data from over 40 different opinions, which helps us a lot in our priority planning and feature development plans. With that said, please look forward to future releases. Your input meant a lot to us 🙂

Thanks a lot for partaking in this debate.

It’s just another interactive window with table of active elements, much like repair window or disenchant window. You learn to operate one of them – you learn to operate them all, and Miqo can do dis, reduct and repair already… It just requires some wrappings to let people set up a chain of elements to operate (i.e. choose option1 from table1, then option2 from table2 and so forth). I guess it has to be a scenario command with variable number of arguments… not sure if Miqo supports it tho.

It is not that simple as you imagine it – at least not when it comes to Miqobot’s quality standard.

Just to elaborate on what has to be done for vendor support, as Miqobot tech support explained it to me:

    – Make a list of all vendor types present in the game.
    – Research each type of vendor UI.
    – Identify how many categories, tabs, and items each vendor has.
    – Identify how to select quantity for each item.
    – Some items don’t have a quantity selector, so this has to be replaced with a repeatable cycle automatically.
    – Design a new scenario function.
    – Implement the necessary algorithms.
    – Test it with different vendor types.
    – Fix any bugs that come out.
    – Write a proper documentation for the new function.
    – Integrate documentation with the source code.

It is indeed not a feature as complicated as crafting solver or combat, but it still isn’t just that simple as you put it.

Priority #1: Reimplementing level 70 support. After that: Trusts, because everyone wants trusts. Trusts were made by Naoki Yoshida for Miqobot confirmed™

Just an interjection, because people seem to “hope” that we “might” get global auto-pause for all features and vendor support:

Those features do not might get released, they will get released and currently both are pretty high on the priority list. So you don’t need to “hope” that they will come, but only wait until they come, because unless some weird reason for why these features should not get released comes up (which I can’t imagine happening), these features are definitely coming – and they are coming soon (in terms of Miqobot version release time). For instance, due to the high amount of requests recently, vendor support is very high on the priority list.

Just to clarify something: The Miqobot development priority list is not set in stone and it might always change (even multiple times between 2 version releases) based on various factors (like community demand and other factors), but for the moment, as it is right now, vendor support is on the priority list very shortly after the release of Miqobot v1.3.29 (we are currently on v1.3.27).

This still might change and vendor support could always be pushed further back, if for example it turns out to be more complicated to implement than it is expected right now, but that is the current state of priorities.

Other than that I’m not going to disclose further information about the dev priorities for now, because we are planning to release an official feature roadmap after deciding on how to structure this roadmap in a publicly readable format, but for now this is all I really wanted to tell you, because I had the feeling, that you are not sure, if these features might come.

    I would use this feature.
As you said, this would most likely end up low priority, but it would most likely not be too hard to implement either.
Based on how many people would like to have this feature I’ll suggest it to be in an appropriate place in the priority list.

I just want to share this one since nobody made it yet I think

    Ahm Araeng > Mord Souq

    Night Peppers
    Fire Crystals

Correct. No one has submitted a gathering grid specifically for Night Pepper yet. Thank you for your input. It is already added to the Index: Gathering Grids 🙂

I do however think if Trust support gets released that would make 99% of this community happy. I know I have leveled 4 jobs to 80 and all my DoL/H manually, but would like to trust farm the rest.

In my opinion, the only thing really necessary besides what’s already here is a lvl60ish squadron dungeon (because well, Somh Al starts to be slow after a while lol) and one or two trust dungeons.

Just fyi: It’s not a question of “if” it will get released, but rather “when”. Trust support is currently one of the absolute top requested features and therefore also on the top of the priority list. With the upcoming release level 70 combat support is going to be released and Holminster Switch as first trust dungeon is also extremely high on the priority list. Priorities can change, but currently due to the amount of requests it’s one of the features most worked on right now.

MSQ support is not. First, as you’ve said, there is another bot for that; second and most important – it would require INSANE amount of time to implement (because there is a lot of quests, and w/o teleport hack it would need covering whole zones with grids).

The other mentioned features sounds to me like both complicated to do (and so, requiring a lot of resources) and, as you said, potentially dangerous because let’s face it, if it’s there, there will always be people ready to abuse it.

Just for making things clear: MSQ support was one of the first features in development and it’s already halfway done. You can see some of the progress in this over 3 years old thread:

However, work on it is currently deprioritized, because other features like Trust support and many features that were released in the past always were much higher on the request list.

Still, thanks for the input so far. I’m eager to listen to more opinions.

The Development section has not been updated for a long while, while information on new features have been released here in the discussions subforum.

However, eventually the whole Development and Help subforums are going to get a major update.
