Anything to do with them? i have 15k+ gilded batfish and 25k+ mirror fish with no idea what i could use them for besides desynthing. But is that even worth the time or effort?
is it best to just auto-sell, or is there something im missing. Thanks ^^
any one for timed fishing scenarios? tbh just looking to see how it works so i can build my own.
Oh well i ended up farming scrips via fishing in the end.
Meanwhile, I’ve been spearfishing 18 hours a day next to 3 other bots who seem to be doing it for even longer
Moved 250 mil as well on sprout alts

New fishing abilities are scheduled for impementation after the Combat system is upgraded for Shadowbringers expansion. It will a take a few more updates.
Thank you for your request!
Disregard im stupid haven’t used miqobot much lately and just started fishing again so my bad x.x
I know its mostly a SB thing but does miqobot support spear fishing?
I would find super useful having an grid with all the fishing locales, for the fishing log completion. It would help a lot.

Thank you for the great work SirVG. One suggestion I’d like to make for some of the grids is to utilize more beacons. I edited one of the spearfishing grids because Miqo would get stuck since the node was too far away to appear on radar
Updated Spearfishing Point!
This is for Lakeland’s Southeast Source.
This new file includes an update navigation to allow you to get the Unspoiled Teeming Waters point (which requires 10 Noblefish). It also changes point 5 from a Fly point to a Beacon to make the Unspoiled node work correctly. Otherwise compass tries to put you on the NE Source.
There are two gathering presets included. The original one (aimed for those doing Gaeyi for leves) and a new one aimed for doing the unspoiled teeming waters for yellow scrips. Nothing changed about the original preset, so if updating, you’ll get a duplicate. Either delete the info from Miqobot or the text file before importing.
If you have no plans on going after fish here for yellow scrips, the original file works fine. If you wish to go for scrips, you need to delete the old navigation grid and replace with this one.
As before Shark Eye and mount are needed. Truth of Oceans is needed for the unspoiled teeming waters.

Adding in some missing 4.0 spearfishing points.
Ruby Sea
FSH 65 – Shusui of the Violet Tides
Yanxia
FSH 65 – Imperial Hypersonic Assault Craft L-XXIII
FSH 70 – The Dragon’s Struggle
Lochs
FSH 70 – Loch Seld Northwestern Lakebed
For all 4, there is a very basic gathering preset, no options set other than Compass. You will need Shark Eye on your bar as well as a mount. You will need to travel to the areas first before beginning.

My thoughts are pretty simple…
I have no need for a MSQ bot nor any of the others frankly.
The items I care most about (in order) are…
- Crafting
- Scenario creation
- Gathering/Fishing/Spearfishing
- Combat Assistance
- Tracking Fate spawns & location overlay
- Chocobo racing
The other items mentioned in this post I don’t have the need nor interest in. As another put it, FFXIV at its core is a story driven game. Take that away then it truly IS soulless.
I don’t treat Miqo as a “bot” but more as an assistant, and I never ask anything of it that I’m not willing to do manually myself.
What’s more even if you were to implement a means of limiting the number of instances on a given box there’s ways around that either with physical or virtual machines and potentially even a containerized instance. It’s a bad road to go down IMHO.
But it doesn’t though, thats the issue. After Chapter 4, my character stops and sits there until it afks out of the game. I think something may be missing that tells the bot to bring me back to il mheg after lakeland. Because my character just chills at the Lakeland mining area when finished with Chapter 4 and doesn’t go back into chapter 2 for the fishing part.

given what we know about fishing tugs, which is that certain fish won’t tug before X number of seconds have passed, is it possible to get an addition to the fishing tab that allows us to make miqobot ignore all tugs before a certain number of seconds have passed from the cast?
New myself and I’ve gotta say, running miqo for the first time set my heart aflutter. I’ve done my fair share of writing custom automation scripts and general code modification for games on the assembly level but perusing the functionality of this client is absolutely fascinating, let alone a sight to witness. If you’re planning on playing and merely having this handle the tedious bits, it can do naught but assist; it’s quite robust.
In your case of handling gathering, I haven’t had any issues in having it complete tasks. As for ruining the experience, I suggest faffing about with them for the first levels then switching when you feel the drain (you will know, the feeling that causes you to drop your hands and cock your head in realization). I loved fishing until around level 52 I caught myself researching python libraries for image/sound recognition and interpretation to implement..so I tried botting for the first time.
Currently using it on my one and only account. I wouldn’t consider myself the foolhardy type either, just personally find it to be a nonissue to simply not overindulge? Like, just don’t run it overnight? Set implausibly tight achievement windows? Toggle it for forty minutes or so when you got wash the dishes, again when you do the laundry, again when you walk the dog, etc. I am genuinely of the opinion a person of average intelligence would have the notion and capability to keep a low profile which — coupled with the apparent method of implementation miqo employs — would make detection far closer to nil.
I can’t speak for combat bits as I’ve only dabbled with fishing and goldsaucer minigames. Dungeons I will play. The MGP payout for anything in the saucer? Yeah, I’d like to spare myself months.
