    Hi !

    Sorry for the long absence, a bit busy on another project right now šŸ™‚
    Anyway of course I plan on keeping miqocrafter up to date.
    The main issue will probably be the lack of embedded grids for the new gathering nodes, but probably a lot of them are already in the forum.
    Just need to add them inside miqocrafter repository, which might take time.

    I’ll try to sort out the other things I’m working on and come back on miqocrafter as soon as I can !

    Yesterday the application started crashing when I attempt to crafting and gathering scenario, however if I create a crafting only scenario it generates the scenario just fine.

    I have tried rebooting\delete miqocrafter and redownloading and it still crashes. Is there another cache folder hidden somewhere that I am not finding that may need to be cleaned out?

    Hmmm I just checked my tests items and they work great so far. Which item are you trying to craft ?
    There is also the user setting directory that you can delete : C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\MiqoCrafter
    XXX being your user name.

    Its too bad that it replaces grids that have already been edited to include aertheryte, it makes its a complete pain tbh, is there anyway to make it so you can turn off replacing grids ?
    Also why is it mining 18 nodes when you want say 18 crystals ? this seems really inefficient.

    Today grid recognition is not implemented, so I’m indeed overwriting grids in miqobot.
    To avoid that you can just duplicate preset.miqo files so your own grids are safe.
    Also, you can export your grids from miqobot and put them into the CustomGrid directory. That way they will be used instead of the standard one.
    You can also send them to me if you feel they are better, I will include them as the default.

    Regarding the number of nodes, please look at the “Nb items per node” option. Set it to the value you want. For example if you need 16 items, and you set it to 4, it will farm 4 nodes.

    No worries on my part, more concerned other might be use them. I modified them on my end so they are now all flying which seems to fix the errors. I would submit mine on here, but I need some more experience before I do. Ben looking at different grids and trying to find a best method.

    Another question. What are the other options under Crafting HQNQ? Iā€™d like to select whatever input so that it always uses HQ if available. Is this the best place to ask questions? DO you have a donate page. Love the work your doing/did.

    Possible suggestion. Though it may add too many additional files. Having 3 different routes for each node gathering. 1 for walk, 1 for mount and 1 for flying. And the use can select via checkbox or whatever what his character can do. Again if this is too much, i manually edit all the ones I download so they are all flying. also like to slightly move the points so my guy wont follow same route as others.

    No worries, though if you feel like your grids do a better job, feel free to post them and I’ll integrate it.

    As for HQNQ options, the name is not great. It refers to the crafting solver options which will be used by miqobot. Recommended is the only one available by default, but you can also create a new set of solver options, and input its name in miqocrafter. And of course, you can ask questions here, even though Iā€™m not yet a miqobot expert šŸ™‚

    As for your last point, itā€™s a nice idea. We could for example have several sets of grids for each item, then miqocrafter would select one randomly to put in miqobot. The main problem being that we would need those grids. Itā€™s already hard to get working grids for each item, so it looks complex to get more.
    I had also thought about modifying the grid a little bit randomly when I am integrating it in miqobot. Problem is that sometimes it would generate a wrong grid, which would ultimately end up with people hitting a wall. Some grids are really that sensitive.
    I had almost the same idea with old ARR maps, which were made when flying was not an option, and which are now definitively suspicious. I wanted to switch mount nodes with flying nodes, or at least automatically add fly nodes in between mount nodes. But itā€™s also complexed to generate automatically.
    The best idea I had so far, which would need further development and time, is to create a sniffing bot, tracking player positions and travel paths. Used by enough people, this would allow to dynamically map all of eorzea, and create a kind of gigantic grid over all areas. From that, it would be easy to generate more random paths. It would also solve the faulty grid issue, since there would be only one master grid per area, from which smaller grids are extracted. But weā€™re not there just yet šŸ™‚

    I couldnā€™t find any updated grid. Looks like all Flax grids havenā€™t been updated for years. They work, but itā€™s pretty obvious that itā€™s miqo since they keep running against the fences all the time.

    I have uploaded one with the latest release 2.2.9 in github.
    Just made it, so it’s probably not perfect, but at least it should make you fly from the aetheryte to the gathering nodes.
    Then sometimes it hits some stuff, but it does not get stuck at least.
    This one is hard to optimize, since miqo is adding an offset from the map point (each map point is not followed precisely, or it would be too easy to detect miqobot users). And there, even a small offset can actually make you hit stuff.

    Anyway, try it and let me know !

    Shishio, did you made or do you have a good grid for Flax for Ramie Threads? The one that I have is pretty bad, doesnā€™t fly and get stuck very often.

    So far it’s not available in miqocrafter directly. That is something I do not manage sorry.
    So the only way is to modify the scenario by hand in miqobot.

    Just an FYI. the Cobalt Ore does some very suspicious behavior. Not bad for 1 round, but if you are watched. definitely suspicious.

    After gathering at a spot, You mount up to jump over a rock. which if you have flying you fly up for a second. Then you land and dismount, sprint and run pretty far to the next node. Happens a lot if you need a lot of cobalt. Then after that node, you run to another node that is semi far, except you run 80% then mount up. From then on the route is normal till you hit the beginning again.

    And the Earth Shard has an error in getting to the locations.

    I think someone else got this issue.
    Could you try running it in administratror mode ?
    Also where did you install the software ?
    Miqocrafter should not need admin rights, yet maybe in some specific installation folder it would need some.

    Yes I have tried launching as both non and admin
    itā€™s also not a traditional installer, for me itā€™s just a compressed folder which isnā€™t installing anything just decompressing the files. Did I get the wrong file?
    As far as where it is located, i have all the files in their own folder inside a Folder on my Desktop that also have Miqobot folder inside.

    I donā€™t know if itā€™s suggested before, and if it is, am sorry!

    Would it be an idea to allow for wildcards in the search? Itā€™d make searching for a specific set so much easier! E.g search for ā€œExarchic * of Scoutingā€ and it brings up all the Exarchic scouting pieces? I donā€™t know if itā€™s a thing already but when I try right now, it just crashes šŸ™

    I am having an issue with this program launching now, when i click the exe to launch it, nothing shows up. I can see an image of it when i try to alt tab, I can see it in my task manager, but thereā€™s no trace of it on my task bar, or on my screen as a window. I was able to launch it a couple times before the crash that really messed things up seemed to be right after i did an item search for all the crafting jobs levels 1-5 and checked the box for ā€œSearch for all kinds of itemsā€ or whatever itā€™s called.

    I have removed it from my PC, ran ccleaner, checked for a defrag. only thing i did not do was check the registry but i donā€™t like messing with that since i would probably have to hunt for a while to check if itā€™s in there. Once i redownloaded and decompressed it and tried to launch it again it still has the same issue.

    Iā€™m having problem when i search for item that i want to craft the program just disappear every single time

    It seems like the tool doesnā€™t help in crafting [Cotton Dalmatica]. It just shows up as blank in the crafting tree.

    Did I screw something up?

    the program works fine up until I click generate, It just closes after loading for a few seconds. Is there a way to see what Iā€™ve done wrong on my end?
