Lol. As you’ve hopefully noticed, the bot is down until the devs can get to it.
But also, as you’ve hopefully noticed (please dear Gods I hope everyone has noticed) the Island nodes aren’t really like other gathering nodes. They’re coded more like a static targetable item like a housing Plaquard or an NPC.
There’s almost no chance Miqobot will be be able to AFK farm these not-really-nodes nodes anytime even remotely soon if ever.
WHEN the bot comes back up and IF (if ever) the bot is also coded to even recognize the zone, what could possibly be done then is we could make a very long and complicated Scenario to go to each spot where something would be and click on it twice to “gather” it and continue.
It would be pages and pages and pages of something like this:
// Player Must manually set
// their tool thingie to
// Gatherwaypoint(5)
key(num0, 1)
key(num0, 1)waypoint(6)
key(num0, 1)
key(num0, 1)waypoint(7)
key(num0, 1)
key(num0, 1)waypoint(8)
key(num0, 1)
key(num0, 1)and on and on and on and on for every single “node” waypoint. It would be a gigantic undertaking to create. I’ll take a shot at it when the bot comes back up and IF it can recognize the zone enough to create a Navigation Grid.
Something minor I noted when playing Island Sanctuary was how each node doesn’t respawn after a certain amount of time but rather after you’ve gathered a certain amount of other nodes. It’s for this reason that I believe I should be able to create simple scripts for island gathering via other programs such as AHK.
You can but it’s definitely suggested that you play through the game at least once.
You’ll need to play through a bit to get access to command missions with your grand company squadron as someone else already mentioned but also… Grinding the two lower level command missions(Halatali and Stone Vigil) are seal losses. It’s not until you reach Sohm Al that you start gaining seals from your routine, although after 5 or 6 missions you start to lose out on seals if you don’t turn in the items you get. At some point it will become a loss. Holminster Switch, Qitana Ravel(and Heroes but you don’t use this to level) don’t have this issue because they’re Trusts, although you will lose out on potential seals if you don’t turn the items you get from them in later.
So first you’ll have to get your alternate job to level 20 to run Halatali(Hunting log to 15, dungeons to 20), then have enough seals to get it to level 53. You also have to get your squadron leveled up to 20 too via squadron missions which is unfortunately a weeks worth of time(after you train their base stats via the training option you can use the balanced training option for 3 hours every day for quicker exp though). Then, focus down one job that way you can use it to fund your other jobs as you level them up to 53(while leveling that job up instead of having to use your maxed main job to farm seals).
At some point try to take a break from it for a couple days when you’ve leveled your squadron up a bit to do the flagged squadron missions to get your GC rank up to max as well. This makes turning in your items easier and gives you more options to spend them on.
Oh and if you’re curious, Heroes gives less experience than Qitana due to it being a patch dungeon. Heroes is basically there for Allagan Tomestone farming now(although you used to be able to farm the ShB Tomes with it). Garuda Extreme can get you two mounts(I think it used to be used for achievement farms too but I don’t think you can do that anymore).
I’m always on controller mode, because I like how the keyboard hotkeys and everything work compared to kvm mode, and I alternate between kbm only (running Miqo 20ish hours a day per year in the privacy of my own home, no stupid busy status that is pretty much an “I’m botting, report me” flag to other players. My real account has been going strong for 5-6 years like this, with Miqo for a little over 2 of that. I crafted/marketed so hard that I had reports pouring in, but nothing ever came from it. However an alt account on another computer, another account, doing the same in an empty apartment, barely lasted a year before getting banned (lots of rmt to justify it and a few other mistakes I made). I doubt people are really bothering to report accounts MGP farming since so little usually comes out of reports and it’s the automated systems you need to be wary of. Nobody knows what they are, as going based on previous admission from FFXI, they’d be looking for things like total MGP earned per day or total games played per time period, etc.
You could be the exception, rather than the rule. I’ve botted on other games where there are heavy detection systems in place and there’s always been a handful of those people who bot relentlessly without precautions in the most obvious of ways that almost never get banned.
I’d definitely prefer to play it safe though. I don’t think I’m one of those people and I don’t like taking my chances.
It probably takes less than an hour per class to rush through your hunting log. Make sure you pick up weapons for 1-15, open the wiki that has coordinates for the mob locations in-game, use the XIV launcher plugin that lets you mark coordinates in-game if you have and rush through it. A couple of dungeons after that should get you to 20.
It’s not that awful when you consider there’s only 10 classes out of the 19 main classes that start at level 1 and MSQ should have at least taken care of one of those classes for you.
As long as you don’t do it in public, you’re fine.
Personally, I stay in my squadron barracks quite often when botting, even if it’s crafting. You can log in and out of your barracks without anyone else spotting you.
It’s really important to stay out of sight as Square mostly relies on reports and even botting combat via squadrons/trusts is pretty easy to tell if a GM takes a close enough look at your account. There’s no anti-cheating systems but a close look at someone who’s been spamming dungeons that Miqobot can pilot through would definitely make it somewhat obvious. This is also why reporting other people isn’t worth your time either, since that draws attention to your account.
Also, I don’t know if they’d notice this but if you’re a PC controller user, I suspect that if they looked closely enough they might also be able to notice you switching to KBM before running your routine. Obviously it’s not enough to immediately say that you are botting but it’s definitely suspicious and it’s all the more reason to try to stay out of sight.

June 7, 2022 at 3:10 pm in reply to: Would it be possible to allow us to create our own combat scripts? #37769Currently it’s not possible. This feature has been up for debate, and if I remember correctly this feature has been recently accepted as a planned feature, but it will take quite a while for it to be implemented, and implementation will only start after the war in Ukraine has ended + other features with higher priority (e.g. Spearfishing & job combat up to level 80 for new/reworked jobs) have been finished
That’s a shame but it’s somewhat expected. I absolutely understand that the current situation in Ukraine is keeping a lot of process back sadly.
I just thought it was worth asking. Miqobot feels like it’d be an amazing community driven project if given the tools for it.

June 1, 2022 at 10:12 pm in reply to: Is it hypocritical to report obvious RMT bots/pos hackers? #37697I don’t know about the morality of it but it’s not good for your own account. FFXIV isn’t like other MMOs where reports are automated. GMs personally go through your reports which means a GM is also likely giving your account attention. I don’t know how often personal accounts are banned but I do know that you don’t want a GM looking at your account too closely, especially if you regularly use controller or you’re using miqo for combat of any kind.
Absolutely second what Arc said.
I’m currently attempting to have miqo train my jobs up to 90 each. You’re only leveling one job so it’s not that bad but there are two big level gaps that will slow you down. Level 60 to level 71 you’re stuck grinding Sohm Al which is a little bit slow at that point and at level 80+ you’re stuck running Qitana Ravel(gives more than Heroes as flat x0 patch dungeons tend to do in comparison to the dungeons released in each expac).
Daily roulettes are nice for bridging these gaps. All my jobs are around 50+ now and it’s easy to tell where a lot of the road bumps are such as level 30 to 41(stuck on Halatali), 49 to 53(stuck on Stone Vigil), 60 to 71(stuck on Sohm Al) and around 78-80(stuck on Qitana Ravel).
