Some weeks ago when I saw all the new crafting skills added to STORMBLOOD, I told myself that it looked a lot like Square Enix trying in purpose to make Miqobot solver impossible to update anymore due to too many possible solutions to calculate and the too large amount of memory required.
While almost everywhere else they replaced old skills by new ones, for DoH, they added a bunch of them, at the high risk of repelling new and old players alike. That’s why I’m really impressed if Miqobot devs, despite this, can manage to create a new solver still aimed at the highest HQing rate.
You guys are really stunning, this piece of software is sensational, it is so indulgent, able to pick up a craft after its start, able to dynamically adjust and recalculate when things changed, all this without bugging or crashing, you rarely see such a lenient software like this.Precision hook will make Miqobot using Patience, you need enough GP first for this. If you don’t have a large GP pool, and if you’re using other skill that cost GP, you might never reach the require GP for Patience.
Then she will use Precision only if there is a small or medium tug, and be sure to verify you didn’t check the ignore tugs small and medium boxes.New people using Miqobot need to understand that every time Square Enix will release a client side update of the game, it will break Miqobot, every single time.
You don’t need to come and report that features are broken. Miqobot devs start to fix the bot the minute the FFXIV patch is available to download. They have a very specific long workflow to fix the bot, and it’s always done within about 48h, and very often quicker than that.Just chill and relax, and get use to this, as there is no way to avoid it, and FFXIV get a lot of patches each year.
I think I have an issue since a long time that I forgot to tell about. I change often my Specialist classes with Souls, and to avoid putting back all the time the Specialist skills, I ended up putting them all for all the 8 DoH classes.
So at all time I always have 5 classes with Specialist actions greyed out, and 3 classes with Specialist actions available. But, I think that Miqobot can’t tell if the Specialist skills are active or not, and when she sees it’s on the hot bar, she assumes it’s available, and she includes it in the solver, which block her later when she will have to use it, she will spam it with no luck, it happens sometimes with Byregot’s Miracle for example, what I do when this happen, I just pick manually Byregot’s Blessing or Byregot’s Brow and Miqobot will pick the rest from there with no problem.
Would it be possible to implement a way for Miqobot to tell if the skills in the hot bars are active or not, so that she does not include them in the solver if they are not actually available?
Thank you
I was one of the people who asked to get a Miqobot release shortly after SB, with just its previous features, and I totally forgot to say thank you.
So, a thousand times thank you. You guys really did it so fast, the result is perfect, I was able to make some new grids for new DoL mats, by unchecking “progress first” the solver crafted me in HQ new 61+ recipes with no fails so far, etc. etc.
Again, thanks a lot for this fast and intermediate release, it is really really useful.
Even if it is not supported yet, I’m curious how you did it neoseeker.
I made myself some underwater grids, I had no problem making a path from an outside Aetheryte then diving underwater, it works fine. But as soon as it reaches the first Beacon, Miqobot unmount and stop. She found nothing close, she tried to figure how to reach the next Beacon, but failed going there and just unmount and stopped moving.
All my nodes underwater are Fly ones, plus Beacons. I didn’t bothered testing more, the grid is done and ready for next release of Miqobot, even if it might need some adjustments.
But maybe neoseeker you can share how you made yours, just to see if I can modify mine to make it work.
It looks like SE banned you for violating another reason, they mentioned 2 reasons, including this one:
“Use of the Website or Services is limited to those satisfying the following conditions:
(b) You represent and warrant that all registration information is truthful and accurate and that you will maintain the accuracy of such information;”Isn’t this one, in combination with the other one that triggered the ban?
What did you do to violate this one, because I think it’s an important violation for them. The new location of NA Datacenter is in Sacramento, California.
I never had to use any VPN to reduce my ping so far, I’m paying an expensive optical fibre connection who, so far, used a good enough routing, when I was testing some VPN when the Datacenter was still in Canada, my ping wasn’t getting any real improvement, just from 110ms to 107ms, showing that my ISP was already using a good routing.
But now, I guess it’s possible I’ll get what Lyfox got, a ~25ms decrease, because the gap increased, so maybe I’ll consider paying for this.
I’ll wait first to see the monday live letter, in case they come up with a last minute miracle solution (sending back one of the 2 NA Datacenter to East Coast, or we can continue to dream, removing the server checks on every skills).Yeah transferring to EU is kind of a no-go, long-time friends, FC lead, FC house, static lead, private house, tons of gil,…
May I ask you which VPN gave you this 30ms decrease? It’s not a lot, but at this point I’ll be glad to get any decrease possible.
Also, there some people on Reddit and on official forums talking about the netcode and how high latency could be a no-issue if the devs were modifying game netcode.
I’m not sure how much of this is true, but it looks like in Tera, some people created a proxy server running locally in your computer, intercepting every data between you and the server, and sending you prevently the authorisation to use your skill, so you don’t have to wait 180ms to be authorised to use the ability, making your game responsive, preventing to lose DPS.I would prefer the devs to get rid of these authorisations in the first place, I have a hard time to believe the game works like this when you compare that to multiplayer FPS games where you don’t have to wait to use your stuff, and yet the server still has authority.
Maybe I’m lacking knowledge to understand fully the reasons behind this in XIV, but to me it looks dumb and unnecessary, and poor decision when so many people suffer from ping issues that could be solved and allow anyone to pick the datacenter they prefers disregards of the ping.

Who would want to stop Miqobot from evolving? I can only think of the competitors. This is puerile and pointless.
As for Miqobot v1.2.6 Beta with Scenario Engine, this is the best news of the day, and it feels really great, because after seeing my ping going from 110ms to 180ms, I was quite depressed about this non sense new Datacenter location choice, if only SE could change their bad netcode it wouldn’t matter,… so new Miqobot Beta news is motivating!
The reason I would want the bot to be as much as possible half fixed with its old features within the 2 first weeks, is because the release of Omega Savage is scheduled for July the 18th. Which means we will have plenty of time to finish MSQ before starting to raid with our statics, which means from June the 16th to July the 18th we have time to focus on something else than finishing MSQ, time to focus on making gils and level DoL/DoH, things where the bot and its old features shine.
I like that Square Enix releases Omega Savage late, not forcing raiders to rush MSQ, giving us time to appreciate the expansion,
so if we could get some features of the bot working, even not complete, even not free of bugs, that could be very useful. -
