Honestly, I’m the same way. I have a joint condition and sometimes combat can be hard for me, so the assist function has saved the game for me. I have it so ingrained to turn it off and on at times in combat, that I’ll be frustrated without it, but I’ll wait patiently.
This is me, I can only partially do combat well, which is why I main a healer. So I basically let Miqo at the wheel for combat and I handle movement and healing.
It’s amazing and I’m going to miss it.
All settings is basically user error, honestly.
And I’m in penta melded gear, literally BiS for crafters, so uh… Stats? I got ’em. :v
Doubt. You can be penta melded, and still not have good stats, or far lower CP. Did you follow a guide for the melds, or just slap random ones on? Or did you calculate yourself exactly how much you need of craftmanship before it no longer saves steps, which changes based on recipe? How much CP? 554, like one of the guides that’s popular tells you? Which is great for normal crafts, but 660 CP is better for consistency with expert recipes, and thats a big difference in the amount of steps. More steps means more chances for beneficial RNG.
Saying “literally BiS” is saying you don’t know what BiS is for crafting, because there is no single solution, BiS for one recipe is not BiS for another. The reason I prefer all settings is simple, I want optimal efficiency in terms of success rate, and everything specializes in that. I don’t want failures, and even if the failure rate is reduced by a small amount, I feel it’s worth it. Using a feature that the bot has, even if unneeded, isn’t an error, it’s a choice.
This is irrelevant. BiS is BiS, it’s called Best in Slot because people have made the math for it and have found out that generally this is the best you can get out of every single combination of gear/meld in the game.
You can dance around this all you want, having more CP but not having enough control for example is not going to offset the increase you get in CP due to the lack of efficiency in the touch actions. So yeah, you can get 660CP all you want, if you sacrifice craftsmanship and control for it, you’re losing more than you’re gaining so it’s actually pointless.
Stats are stats, they’re hard math. I’ve done most resplendent tools, and those are currently the hardest craft in the game, iirc. And my solver for those took 2 mins max.
Again, this is user error, or as Lyfox said, choice. But it’s not the way the solver was designed to work, spending weeks working on fully threading the solving engine when there’s actually an incredibly small niche use for it is not worth the development cycles, imo.
But Miqo has a request topic every now and again, throw your suggestion at them and the community in general and see how people feel, but seeing the usecase considering the other options like QoL and getting everything up to speed for Endwalker, I doubt you’ll have much luck.

Some complex things, already take an hour.
On this PC, there are 15 other cores available
Considering this, I’d say threading was the least of your worries.
In my puny Ryzen 5 2600X, it takes at most (if I really want to push it) 1-2mins on an expert recipe. So if you’re getting an HOUR on some random thing, then look inwards to fix the issue, cuz no one else has that issue from what I’ve seen.
I cannot stress just how much you shouldn’t do this by leaving your bot unattended.
If someone notices you’re macro-ing/botting, they’ll relocate to the plot you’re trying to buy, setup a quick retainer near the entrance, your bot will click the npc instead of the plaque, and you’ll buy some VERY expensive Gysahl greens. :p
If you’re using windows, you can force DPI scaling to be bigger on Miqo specifically and it’ll make the entire window bigger.

First off as far as Feedback, I must say I am enjoying Miqobot and the amount of things it allows us to do. It also is great that the community is very helpful and allows for quick responses. I do have a suggestion though and not sure if it can be implemented quickly or not.
I have been leveling Characters using Squadrons/Trusts. The issue that I find is that when I get to level 60 I’m still having to do a level 53 (Sohm Al) dungeon until I get to 71 to start doing Holminster Switch. Is there a way to get a dungeon added in between these that would allow the leveling process to go a little more quickly? If there is already something that I am just missing I could use some help in knowing what that is. I appreciate all of your assistance.
Apparently the Miqo team has done some math around this fact.
Turns out 53 is still better in terms of success rate+time per run in terms of experience gain compared to later dungeons.
I remember reading it on the forums but I can’t find the exact quote now. The team will probably reply with their reasoning.
I can imagine that a lot of new people here don’t fully understand how FFXIV expansions work..
They don’t just add more content, they largely retool and rework existing stuff. Including a lot of the client data too.
This means that not only will the offsets and etc take longer to find, things like crafting and gathering WILL be changed and adjusted as they’ve recently said in the latest live letter. Jobs will also change slightly even at Level 80, which means combat assist rotations will not be as optimal as before and it will take people (ie: The Balance discord) to fully optimize things again and then for it to be re-implemented into the core of the assist mode.I understand, as has been said here many times, that it truly does suck. But the scope of EVERY expansion is massively large, and while I don’t want Miqo to take months into working with the game, I understand the why. But I really do wish it doesn’t take the better half of a year, for example.
Just my personal thoughts on the matter.
