    No, we will not increase the price of Miqobot subscription and we will not introduce hidden payments.
    A temporary hype wave is not the reason to make systematic changes to the project.

    Honestly, how little the program has developed over the past 2 months is kind of annoying to hear.

    This is probably the most frequent type of complaint we have been receiving over the past 6 years of Miqobot existence.
    Despite the fact that we implemented and released several hundred features and updates, the pressure and demand for more features only increases with time. If we haven’t been able to satisfy the demand after all these years, then it is unlikely we ever will.

    The majority of questions for Tech Support require deep understanding of the project on a technical level.
    Outsourcing this kind of work will significantly decrease the quality of the service in general.

    As always, Miqobot is broken after Patch 5.58 Maintenance and we are working to fix her as fast as possible.
    The changes are minor and should take only a few hours.

    Yes, we receive this question before every expansion.
    And the answer remains the same. We will continue working on the project for as long as players need us.

    Of course, when the Endwalker expansion arrives, Miqobot features will be significantly outdated.
    Only level 80 content will be supported.
    But this also means that there will be less players interested in using Miqobot in general, so there will be less demand for tech support and more time for development. The balance will come naturally.

    This is not new. It has always been this way with every previous expansion.
    We don’t see a reason why Endwalker should be an exception.

    No, it will not.
    During the downtime Miqobot does not function, therefore there is no technical assistance to provide. When the expansion arrives, we will be fully focused on fixing Miqobot and it will not take any longer than necessary.

    A setting to disable AoE rotations is planned, but it’s not a trivial one to implement.
    The only solution you have at the moment is to remove AoE abilities from your hotbar, and Miqobot will have no choice but to perform a single target rotation. But if the fight requires constantly switching AoE on and off, then of course it will not suffice.

    There is another workaround.
    You can create two hotbar manipulation macros. One will remove AoE abilities from your hotbar and the other will quickly put them back.

    /hotbar remove 9 1
    /hotbar remove 9 2
    /hotbar remove 9 3
    /hotbar action "Quick Nock" 9 1
    /hotbar action "Rain of Death" 9 2
    /hotbar action "Shadowbite" 9 3

    This example assumes that you’re playing Bard and your AoE abilities are placed on hotbar 9 in slots 1 / 2 / 3 respectively. Please adjust them to your own hotbar setup.

    We understand that this is an extremely unnatural solution, but it’s the only one we can suggest at the moment.

    Miqobot raises party members in the same order as they appear in the party list, from top to bottom.
    Therefore you can change the priorities by simply rearranging your party list.

    We are very sorry to announce bad news, but we don’t have a choice.

    Due to the influx of new players the development process is completely paralyzed by extremely high load in Tech Support department. Our team is working non-stop, but 90% of our workload consists of answering questions and providing technical assistance.

    The current develoment cycle was supposed to be finished several weeks ago and was meant to introduce several Quality-of-Life features which the community requested most often.
    Unfortunately, due to the additional workload we haven’t managed to make enough progress towards the next milestone. The update is ready only by 50%.

    At the moment it’s not possible to make predictions of the next ETA, because we don’t know for how long the hype wave is going to last.
    We continue working on the project full-time and will do our best to keep Miqobot updated for every game patch. But we can not promise that new features will arrive anytime soon. So when you subscribe to Miqobot project, please consider the currently available features only.

    You are correct, there hasn’t been any announcement on the Miqobot status for a while. We should fix that.
    We will answer your questions first and then post this information in Miqobot Status thread for everyone to see at a glance.

    Yet, on that note, I’m really not sure what IS happening.

    I see plenty of suggestions and people talking, as I always have, yet from what I’ve read I’m under the impression that at some point there was a vote to decide what to do next

    I find it incredibly impertinent to expect the users to constantly check here just to see whether or not a big decision is being decided upon so that a few users don’t dictate the direction for everyone else.

    The voting period lasted for one week, which we believe is enough time for the interested members of the community to voice their opinions.

    An e-mail sent to all the users saying what it’s about, a link to the vote, and what was going on would be rather ideal.

    No, we will not do bulk mailing.
    This is an extremely dangerous practice which may lead to email providers blacklisting our server and our customers will never receive emails from us anymore.
    If a user does not visit the community for a long time, we don’t have the right to bother them with reminders of our project.

    I, personally, was quite looking forward to Pagl and Matoy’s getting added for Trusts before the dungeons were totally irrelevant next expansion

    We are very sorry, but there were no requests to make Patch 5.5 Dungeon a top priority feature.
    The majority of the community decided that Quality-of-Life updates would be more beneficial for the project in the long run.

    Other than development saying that the current project is Quality-of-Life updates I can’t seem to find anything about any news on how that (or anything else) is coming along.

    The most favorable time for development is the state of lull before new patches. The time when most players have achieved everything they wanted and are taking a break from the game and Miqobot both, which allows us to shift the focus from supporting existing features to actually implementing new ones.

    However, the recent events have replaced the usual period of calm with unprecedented hype.
    Until this storm is over, the progress on new updates will be very slow.

    if there’s any expected release date, or, really, just any news about the bot in general.

    Unfortunately, we can not make predictions about the project at this time, because we don’t know for how long the hype wave is going to last.
    We sincerely hope that it will decrease soon.

    frankly simply allowing combat assist to work in a scenaro would allow us to make our own unsynced dungoens just make it as sugested above work in an instanced area if your concerned about people abuseing it in the open world

    Thank you for your proposal, but we are not going to introduce artifical limits on this feature. It’s not a good idea to invest significant development resources in a major feature pack and then prohibit its use in 80% of the game content.
    When it is released, it will be available for use in private instances and open-world both.

    The only thing I would say Miqo could do is import the work they’ve done with the waypoint system for gathering, and have some rudimentary implementation in the dungeons that would allow people to have or make themselves a “combat” grid, where you would follow waypoints and automatically target things.

    Yes, this is the way we plan to do it for Custom fights and Monster grind feature pack.
    However, a rudimentary system will not work for Combat content. We have to make sure that the system is flexible and functions properly before releasing it to the public. Therefore there are several critical updates that must be implemented before this feature becomes possible.

    But again, that’s very much unnecessary work for something that will have a very small niche usage. If the Miqo team says it takes 4-8 weeks to implement A DUNGEON, implementing something like this would be a bigger undertaking I’m sure, and I’m not truly sure if the time investment into the feature would actually make it good.

    Implementation of this feature will require approximately 3 development cycles of 4-8 weeks each.

    It’d probably make it good in the future, because people could map and share their own paths for the new dungeons so you could potentially Trust run them, but I’m assuming it would be iffy at best, wonky at worst.

    It will not work for running Squadron or Trust Dungeons, because this system will not be capable of performing boss mechanics automatically.
    Without additional algorithms, Miqobot will simply stand in acid puddles and AoE omens. In order for synced dungeons to be supported, we have to manually implement each mechanic in Miqobot source code. This is why it takes a full development cycle to implement a single dungeon.

    Yes, all of these features have already been requested and planned for implementation in the future updates.
