Fishing
Cordials in Stormblood can be used without interrupting the fishing session, and Miqobot utilizes this feature to improve her fishing performance.
Miqobot attempts to optimize cordials cooldown by using it immediately after heavy GP actions, such as Patience and Patience II, in order to maximize the number of Powerful and Precision hooks.New fishing actions are supported:
- Mooch II. Allows mooching with non-HQ fish.
- Double Hook. Increases fish yield.
Initial AI utilizes these skills whenever they become available.
Improved AI will be able to plan their usage according to advanced settings.- With Mooch II you will be able to target a specific fish and ignore others. As this ability has a 3 minute cooldown, it is most useful to preserve long mooch sequences.
- Alternatively, you can instruct Miqobot to wait for Mooch II to recharge when a non-HQ fish is hooked.
- (Improved AI is scheduled for release in Upgrade Stage 3.)

There are two people who respond to questions, people who give answers, and apparently people who contribute nothing but their unwanted opinion and insults like a spoiled child.
The problem is, that people ask the same question over and over and over and over again. To make this clear now:
Since the last post from Miqo on stage 2 where it was clearly stated “We don’t have an ETA yet” it was asked five times in the last few pages of this thread and twelve threads were opened (which is a lot in such a small community) asking the same 3 questions over and over again:
– When do we get spearfishing?
– Why aren’t Stormblood crafter skills not used in the solver?
– Do we have an ETA on Stage 2
This gets annoying to some people who would rather answer really unanswered questions, especially since you basically just have to type “stage 2” in the search bar on top of the forums and look out for posts from the admin to answer your question.
I’d say the spoiled children whose opinion is unwanted and questions contribute nothing are those who keep asking “Mommy, are we there soon?” every 5 minutes in the car on a trip.In reply to: Changing fishing spots?

Hi, I’m on my first month subscription to this whole new world of Miqobot!
I’m also a total noob on scenario and overall scripting… it’s so much to learn!anyway I would like to know how or where can I learn how to make a scenario just for changing the
fishing spot on the same map? I know we could only fish in one spot in 50 mins
(I’m doing this in costal del sol which has two aetherytes)Yeah I know it’s sounds silly and simple but please enlighten me T_T

First of all try to keep each fishing session in a different chapter. Most functions work better this way. Secondly you have to keep rotating fishing spots to avoid “fish sense something amiss” message. Even if weather doesnt match you still have to cast rod at least once in this spot to reset another. Miqo functions are actually aware of this and thats why they are designed to fish for 1 min on bad weather. Also keep in mind that navigation takes time. So if you wait until 9am before navigating you will lose precious time while moving.
What I would do is set up one waypoint for Sawfish and one somewhere else for reset. Something like this.

I just came back to the game and I had used the miqo before but for some reason, it isn’t picking up any hooking abilities on my hotbars. What am I doing wrong?
Hey guys, I’m new-ish to Miqobot and I have a question. Basically, how would I type up a scenario that would work for this situation:
Lets use Titanic Sawfish as an example, it seems like you can only fish it from 9AM to 2:59PM (Eorzean time) with Clear or Fair Skies. So I’m looking to write up a scenario where it will fish in those time frame, check the weather, fish, and repeat. I came up with this (remember, I’m very new at this) but it doesn’t work. Anyone wanna educate me?

(2), (3), and (4) will ensure I will continue if the weather is ok, BUT there’s something wrong with (4) or that I don’t seem to understand the function. From the look of it, if the weather is not in the whitelisted, the bot will work for 1min then continue with the next function, but that would fail my goal cuz I would be fishing in the wrong weather. I wanted it to check the weather, if it failed, go back to function (1) and repeat until weather passed the requirement to continue. It would help greatly if you can teach me the whole scenario that would make this possible, I can learn from it for futures scenarios.

You know you can also get Dusklight Aethersands from Doman Yellow (Botanist) and Almandine (Miner) too and it’s already possible to gather those as collectibles for aetherial reduction via the scenario scripting engine? In fact I’m currently working on a scenario that gathers all ephermal nodes for aethersands and it’s almost ready.
Sure, but those nodes spawn twice a day for a limited time and are very slow in comparison to just doing False Scads. An hour of manually doing False Scads is a lot more profitable than multiple hours of botting the other two. I use up multiple stacks of sand (mostly for raid) every week.
Also assuming that a few people botting it would bring down the price and I might not even have to bot it myself.
Mostly hoping that Miqobot has Spearfishing before 4.1 at this rate. I never expected Stage 2 to take more than a month, and most of the focus (from what I’ve seen) is on the crafting solver that I haven’t needed since Stormblood gave us such broken crafting abilities that 100% rotations are easily achievable.In reply to: Stormblood – Upgrade Stage 1
Any news on the progress of Stage 2? Or any possibility of Spearfishing getting out prior?
Right now, any level 70 crafter really doesn’t even need a solver. The only feature we lack to truly 100% HQ everything is avoiding poor status on Byregot’s.
But, Spearfishing, is a huge difference. Dusklight Aethersands are a super hot commodity as they are used in every good raid food and the stat potions. Gathering them is super boring, thus a bot that could do False Scads for hours would be very worthwhile.I really hope that the update isn’t being too delayed just for the solver…
