Use the following macro:

/micon "Cast"
/ac "Thaliak's Favor"
/ac "Cast"

and put it on a higher hotbar then the actual cast button (if you want to have the regular cast button on your hotbar for manual fishing in the first place. So let’s say if you put this macro on hotbar 1 and the regular cast button on hotbar 2 miqobot will use the macro for fishing.

there is no need to add a <wait.2> command after Thaliak’s Favor.

There isn’t a way to make the bot use the skill directly.

You could make a scenario that does a small bit of fishing activity, then activates a macro that attempts to use up all your angler’s arts, then takes a break for about 10 seconds (to accomodate the skill being spammed), then goes back to fishing and yada yada. But you’d have to set this up manually. I’m not sure how complicated that would be because I’ve never done a fishing scenario.

If you’re at the PC and just letting Miqo fish for you, you can manually spam the skill every now and then and it won’t cause any issues for the bot.

Is there a way to make the bot use Thaliak’s favor, with a macro perhaps? Has anyone had any luck with a workaround for this?

Is their a script or grid someone has done for diadem fishing that counts towards skyward points. I want to get the mount and I need 500k points on fishing.

moochPreset(0x807E, Mooch) should work. I dont remember if theres anything written in the message log but you can switch to fishing tab while the scenario is running and see the settings that are being used. Miqo toggles them on ui whenever the conditions change so if you watch closely you will notice it.

You can absolutely bot all day, multiple days in a row, and not have any problems. People do it all the time. These automated systems people talk about, I feel like that’s not even accurate. There are people who visibly hack playing the game in weird ways that only rarely ever get banned. There’s one guy in Balmung who flies through the air and has a suit that constantly cycles colours through the rainbow. He plays the game, talks to people, does whatever he wants. Sometimes, he gets banned. But it’s definitely not automation catching him because he’ll go long, long periods of time without a problem doing things regular people cannot possibly do.

That being said, players reporting you are the main source of getting banned. Your friends list is your biggest enemy for getting banned, actually. Random players are likely to report you if they suspect you, often without remorse, but your friends can see where you are and what you’re doing at any point they are logged in. And while they might not notice anything weird going on right away, when they walk up to you and you’re crafting and not responding to them, that’s a little iffy. They might not even send tells. Just jump around you or spin circles or anything. Or they just notice you’re crafting absolutely nonstop, and you’re not even using macros to do it. They notice things are just kind of off… and they’re off a lot of the time. So they toss in a report eventually.

Why not, after all. Because if you’re not botting you won’t get banned. And there won’t be any retaliation since there’s no way to see where a report came from and the GMs say practically nothing that isn’t a copy and pasted script. Your ban reasoning is a mystery, how you got caught doing it is a mystery, and how long you were observed doing things is a mystery. But no one’s going to report you if they can’t see you. And unfortunately, your friends are always able to watch you in some way off the friend’s list.

So just be careful. Think about it from an outsider’s perspective. Fishing doesn’t look suspicious. Fishing in the same spot for 8 hours? Maybe, but eh, who cares. You know what’s kind of weird though? That same person goes fishing for 8 hours in the morning every day, and after that they do whatever else. It’s kind of weird that they talk in FC chat, except while they’re fishing. Sure, it’s annoying to talk while fishing, but to literally never do it? Huh. Kinda weird when I run past them that they never mention seeing me either when they always emote otherwise…

Does anyone has scenario for fishing aethersand?

Sure I’ll work on it tomorrow to time out of the instance successfully.

Keep in mind if times out when it goes to a lower fishing spot, thats likely beyond my ability to fix. But if it goes to the end of the scenario I’ll make it work to exit/enter at least. (I hope)

I haven’t seen anything on the use of Identical Cast which I know we use manually but when I do use it, it stalls Miqo to stop doing anything. Maybe this is in the works to be done sometime. That is fine. Just wondering.

That’s a shame but it’s somewhat expected. I absolutely understand that the current situation in Ukraine is keeping a lot of process back sadly.

I just thought it was worth asking. Miqobot feels like it’d be an amazing community driven project if given the tools for it.

This feature has been up for debate, and if I remember correctly this feature has been recently accepted as a planned feature, but it will take quite a while for it to be implemented, and implementation will only start after the war in Ukraine has ended + other features with higher priority (e.g. Spearfishing & job combat up to level 80 for new/reworked jobs) have been finished

Ocean fishing is great for scripts/Lving/ goodies plus its just fun to help others. good combo to diadem

To those having issues, you have to make sure your either in a day, sunset or night. it tells u so you jsut gotta make sure ur on right route then change it when it changes to next one. It does not do everything for u which helps you increase ur bonuses and you can add in double hook. It makes a difference with weather. i use this site to inform me what weather it be. realize u wont always get it since ur working as a team, the missions do help as well as using Identical cast. prize is also a good option too! Yes u have to hit it but that’s nothing compared to fact its doing most of it. plus once u get near 10 Art u can get some GP back to help you land more big fishes.

i normally don’t post but i enjoy gathering often and saw others having issues so i’m hoping this helps others! thank you for the owner of this ocean fishing scenario. it was a great find <3
