Amazing work Timray. One addition is to add pick clean to optimize gains. (lvl80 with decent gear)
Change Yield+2 to Gathering +50%
Ingame change the +50% button to one of the following macro’s (remove normal 50% button from bars):/micon “Field Mastery III”
/ac “Pick Clean”/micon “Sharp Vision III”
/ac “Pick Clean”This scenario is massively inefficient compared to lazy manual farming. The biggest culprit is the insane inefficiency of GP. Doing a 0 gp rotation is practically worthless because it’s extremely rare to reach high enough purity to get aethersands, and there’s no efficient way of doing cordials or gp management (as far as I’m aware) with the bot because there’s no function to check GP and do things conditionally based on it. There was a few other things that contributed to it being terrible that I fixed but it’s still hardly worth using.
There are limitations to the bot, and I doubt it will ever emulate the efficiency of a player. Then again it’s an automated tool doing tasks for you while you don’t even have to be at your computer.
This scenario is perfectly functional, but as you discovered you have to tweak it to suit your own tastes. I’d use these as baselines if you’re not willing to create your own from scratch and make the one you like.
Some tips if you’re only interested in 8/8 rotations for sands:
make the bot gather emphereal node 8/8
gather touch 2 nodes
waypoint(xx)
cordial
afkfor(cordial cd / regen time)
loop until time of next nodewith some tweaking you can get 8/8 scenario with certain time of cordial to just gather yourself 8/8 or any time of things you’d like
Not 100% the answer you’re looking for since sharing ideal farming locations is like shooting yourself in the foot.
When using a bot to farm for certain material type, it’s extremely easy to over saturate the market with base materials. Your best bet is to pick up crafting and diversify creating intermediate or finished products.
There are a lot of materials required for all kind of things right now this early in the expansion, so just straight up farming things is a quick and easy way to generate wealth.
Easy to get into with decent gil:
Aetherial reduction for sands
Aetherial reduction for crystals/clusters
Timed node material farming (White/Yellow script ShB mats)
Timed node material farming (raw materials from white/yellow ShB script nodes instead of scripts)Slightly harder with higher margins:
Farm raw materials > resell crafted products
Buy raw materials > resell crafted productsMix it up and diversify!
July 26, 2019 at 1:15 pm in reply to: Feature Request: Gathering-Style Crafting Macro generator #15906Expanding on this, if in the future something could be implemented for gathering as well based on gathering node proc’s:
If +2 / +1 node attemts then do xxx rotation. This would make gathering and efficiently spending GP a breeze.
In short term if fishing is expanded with ShB skills we really need options akin to Veteran Trade for spearfishing to make good use of Surface slap or Identical cast.
I’m using 24 buttons myself to craft everything in the game. Hasty touch is used for one character specific rotation with spare cp.

You’re on the right track Gray. I think having a good understanding of how crafting system works and what efficiency does goes a long way to optimize your rotations and speed. For example miqobot as an extremely inefficient at crafting in bulk or optimizing rotations, yes she can craft with 60 step rotations but ideally you’ll just use a solution with 24-28 steps for **** star recipies as example.
If you want efficiency I’d advise to look into something like teamcraft and making few predefined rotations for your own gear. As a wow goblin would say, time is money friend.

Based on previous scenarios found on these forums with some modifications. It’s a Heavensward scenario that needs some decent Stormblood gear to run.
Farms ~3000 of each crystal and ~1500 of each cluster / 8 hours. Enjoy. You can tweak it yourself to farm more or less of certain type.
