So you’d like to know if there is another way to farm GC’s successfully besides Squadrons, fates, and gatherer material turn in? I mean what could be left? A staring contest? No, those are the ways one farms GC’s. Sohm Al, a fully automated squadron scenario supported by miqobot is the number one way to farm GC’s. I’m constantly at my seal cap just from trying to level my other jobs. However, if you are leveling your gatherer and crafter jobs you will get some decent seals just doing the daily turn ins for exp.

Now the second question, that’s totally up to you. I think the number one recommended thing to do prior to expansion is completing MSQ. I mean what else would matter? You answer that question and you have your answer. Level jobs, do quests, or make gil, am I missing anything?

You being a person who does not have a level 70 and therefore hasn’t completed the MSQ, that should be your only goal. You must complete the MSQ to get access to most of the game. It unlocks Areas, dungeons, jobs, movement and travel options, it is the game. Personally, I didn’t understand that when I started and thought it was about getting a job to max level and i’d complete the MSQ later… It just doesn’t work that way. Focus on the MSQ and you will get a job to 70 in that process. Otherwise youll end up with a 70 doing the MSQ and not caring about the rewards, which makes it even worse then it already is to run all over the planet.

I played this game for a month or two back with ARR released and then quit and have only been back now for two months and therefore had/have plenty of jobs that need the experience, it may not be as good as sohm al, but it gets tokens and exp. I really just wanted to get the mounts and minions but basically had nothing the shop offered to start. But like you said, miqo did the work, so I don’t care how boring the process is!

Ahha! So you actually start from a given “preset”, and then let Miqo calculate the rest? Or you just use HQ base materials?

P.S. EEEEKS! 1729 Control on the WORST class, and that’s w/o food? I’ve got about 1600 WITH food… Well then, no surprise that you get HQ Rakshasa out of NQ mats – but it’s not like everyone can invest THAT much millions into overmelds! Well-made script. on the other hand, allows you fail-safe HQ creation even with not more than a single overmeld on each item…

I’m not quite sure I understand how you could have a script that would be failsafe, unless you are crafting a lower level recipe. The fact is, you can fail quality increases. Miqo is at least watching for those opportunities to get you some CP back or increase quality with a bonus which is really the only thing besides RNG that will determine if you can HQ with your current stats.

Also if I recall correctly, in your questions about RMT, this was mentioned multiple times, how expensive necessary overmelding a crafter would be and you were not worried about the 1-4 million per job that Arc had estimated.

I think unless you are running as a tank, you will die sometimes on Isegbind.

I cleared it around ~150 times on scholar, never had a single wipe, or close to it.

Neat, you had some pretty ridiculous luck. It simply boils down to how the NPC tank turns Isegbind and whether he casts Frost Breath there. I understand, some people have experiences where they haven’t died, neat, its really cool you managed. However, its not a debatable thing, its a matter of total health at that level, and a combo of attacks that in this case is very RNG if it will effect you. Ive wiped 4x in one run. Ive wiped no times in many runs, that’s how this shit works.

Also I realized I spent nearly 500 moogle tokens thus far, some might have come from other runs, so maybe it wasnt 500 runs of just Stone Vigil but I’ve still done hundreds this week alone, basically been in stone vigil for 23 hours a day or so.

On Isegbind? We are specifically talking about the mechanics of that fight. If you are a appropriately geared tank (gear within a few levels) you wouldn’t die on that fight unless something really crazy happened. Its just not gonna happen. Now, as a tank, you could totally die throughout the instance from facepulls, adds, or any number of silly mistakes ive seen happen. Again, specifically on Isgebind, you got lucky on a RDM to never have died. I have literally run this over 500x this week alone. None of my jobs are below 60 and therefore at max sync when they do this, but even when I ran this back when I was leveling through the 43-51 my statements would still be accurate. Frost breath will kill almost any non tank type in one hit, especially if you just got hit with the Pbaoe he does Frost rime, or something like that, and had any hp gone at all.

I think unless you are running as a tank, you will die sometimes on Isegbind. Its been discussed somewhere else before, but due to the fact that the party is disengaged while he is in the air, when he lands and does frost breath, the tank sometimes swings his face through the party causing you to get hit with it. I have fully leveled Squadron and been completely overgeared and such, this doesn’t effect the fact that you can and will die if you are not a tank.

I think you can just rename them however you would like in order to organize them in whatever way you want. I mean some might want them organized by location, level or name. Its gonna be different for each person. As for the grid posts, one grid has multiple items, when you click on elm log it would obviously take you to the same grid post as if you clicked on elm branch. Plus, because the people who have made the grids are freaking awesome, they have made multiple grids. Sometimes they put a scenario or multiple grids in one post, so they would also go to the same threat post.
