I think that even in the case they are close to release a beta of the Scenario Engine, they will prefer to wait for STORMBLOOD to release first, so that they don’t waste time on building something that will break deeply in 33 days.

I was hoping to get Scenario Engine month before STORMBLOOD, to have the time to write lots of scripts and be ready for this expansion, but I don’t think it’s gonna happen unfortunately.

But, what I wish, is that once STORMBLOOD is released and the current version of Miqobot break, that we don’t have to wait month before getting a working Miqobot, what I mean with that, is that I would prefer to get quickly (within the 2 first weeks) a half broken Miqobot with just some old gathering features available, than to have to wait for 2 month to get a perfect working Miqobot.

The first weeks of an expansion is where you can make millions of gils with no hard work, and old basic features of Miqobot will help immensely.

I’m expecting the Crafting Solver to be broken for longer time than Gathering features for example, and I would be grateful if we could get quick releases of beta Miqobot each time a feature is fixed, even if it’s fixed in a way it doesn’t use yet the new STORMBLOOD features, and even if it’s not really stable yet.

And then I hope we’ll get the Scenario Engine beta during the summer, because like Lyfox pointed out in an another topic, I just can’t wait to be definitely done with any kind of grind in this game.

What you are asking already exist, it’s the Blue-Purple line feature :

Blue-Purple gradient line – unidirectional connection. Miqobot will move only from blue to purple.
You can think of them as arrows pointing in the purple end.
Tip: This is useful for creating shortcuts from high cliffs or walls. Miqobot will jump down, but she won’t try to climb back up. Make sure you also set up an alternative way back (in case you need it).

When you’re in the Editor, just press CTRL to toggle between Green and Red mode, once in Red mode, right click on a line to cycle through the colour mode, and pick the Blue-purple one you need.
Remember, Miqobot will move only from blue to purple, so pick the right one.

Maybe consider to upgrade your hardware. It might be the time/reason you were waiting for for an upgrade.

I tested the new PoTD radar the last few days, it’s great as expected, very useful. During my solo runs I triggered 3 traps that weren’t in the database yet, were these locations uploaded to the Miqobot servers? And will they be added in the next version, or are they re-downloaded periodically by Miqobot client?

According to Miqobot devs testing, here is the list of abilities you need to use, they are sorted by the most important to the less important, the % represent the HQ rate increase by having this ability. You can stop at Careful Synthesis II if you want, this is enough to HQ anything as long as you have the required stats to make the craft, and that you start with 1500-2000 HQ points for the lvl 60 4 stars.

Byregot’s Blessing: 38.6% to average HQ rate
    Maker's Mark: 27.4%
Flawless Synthesis: - (required for Maker's Mark)
    Piece by Piece: 27.2%
    Hasty Touch: 26.0%
    Rapid Synthesis: 16.7%
    Comfort Zone: 15.9%
    Steady Hand II: 12.8%
    Tricks of the Trade: 10.0%
    Careful Synthesis II: 8.8%
    Innovation: 2.8%
    Waste Not: 1.7%
    Waste Not II: 0.42%
    Manipulation: 0.41%
    Rumination: 0.1%
    Careful Synthesis: 0%
Muscle Memory: 0% (10.4% when no Maker's Mark)
    Reclaim: -

That’s good news, I’m currently doing a solo 1-101, and I’m planning to do a light party 1-200 this week-end, if maybe this new beta build is ready by then, I could start to feed the Traps server.

I believe you will have to wait for an upcoming release, until then the current clients don’t have the required features to send collected data.

Yes I don’t mind having Miqobot gathering datas for the community while I play, I was already doing this in 1.0 6 years ago with a tool the guy behind XIVDB gave to me to gather as much datas as possible for his web site while playing.

The only thing I’m scared about is the amount of work it will put on you Miqobot devs, I feel guilty every time I want to request something, knowing it will push back a little more the next big long awaited features of the bot.

But like LHalfish just said, wiping on floor 186 because of an RNG trap really make you want to punch your screen, all those hours lost in 1 sec because of RNG…
People will have to understand that this feature won’t be 100% complete before a long time, and that they will likely get hit by unmarked (yet) traps.

Also, Square Enix rarely make changes like this measure, they do it when they see players complaining and reporting unfair behaviours, so the best thing is to keep your mouth shut, don’t brag you can find all hoards, and don’t show that in public matched parties, use that only with trusted friends or solo.

I can see one solution, but it might be lots of work and therefore not worth it at all, if traps possible positions didn’t changed since the previous patch, and if somehow you kept those positions in a Database, you could show on the overlay every possible traps so we could avoid them.

It can be useful for soloing, maybe not that useful for a 4 men party, for last patch I got used to mark with A, B, C every traps so my friends could avoid them as well, but I have the feeling that if you show every possible known traps position, there will be too much, preventing to pass along the info, unless on voice chat.
But for soloing it could allow Miqobot users to avoid all those dangerous known positions.

The problem is I believe to make that database, you could gather data from Miqobot clients, sending in background all traps positions that hit us, you would may be end up by knowing all possible positions, the last floors data will still be rare and require lots of time.

But I don’t know if anything of this is possible, if you can somehow get the ID of one specific square room and get all known traps position tied to it.

And don’t accept this request if it’s way too much work, it’s not worth it, Miqobot can still find all hoards, so it’s fine, and I would rather get the Scenario and Battle Engine, and Triple Triad Solver first ^^’

Damn, that sucks, that Miqobot feature was so great, for once that we could bypass Square Enix endless RNG…
Is it handled only server-side now? Or are they just using a different way to store the information on client-side? I hope you guys can find a way to make that feature work again, RNG traps making you wipe at floor 199 after 9 hours of work just make you want to shoot yourself.

And it’s kind of weird they made those adjustments for traps, but not for hoards.

Yeah I agree, especially for solo playing, having the teleport stone on Miqobot overlay without having to switch between modes will help a lot.
As well as being also able to have monsters on the overlay, so chests + traps + teleport stone + monsters, all of them with different colours, like red for monsters and blue for the teleport stone (maybe traps in orange and hoards in green), and it will be perfect.
Maybe with options, like a Palace of the Dead category, where you can pick what you want, monsters, teleport stones, etc.

Usually what I do, is to right click on HQ mats, and ask the game to turn them into NQ ones, then I set up Miqobot to start to craft.
This of course, if your stats and levels are good enough to get HQ craft from Miqobot regardless of the quality of mats.

Yeah I understand if your calculations time are that long, but which settings are you using? With CP 1:1, Progress first checked, BB only 100% checked, PbP only 100% checked, on 4 stars lvl 60 I get 17,8 sec, and HQ every time by starting with 1500~ quality.

And I don’t think the fact I’m using an i7 Hexacore is making such a big difference, you must have checked some CPU intensive options, or didn’t checked the Progress first option (it decreases a lot the calculations, like going from 4min to 20sec, for just losing 3% HQ chance overall, huge time saving).

I mean, lvl 60 4 stars are 17.8 sec of calculation, the feature you are asking can take the dev lots of time and resources, just to save 20 sec here and there, I mean, it doesn’t really look it’s worth it when you know they have already so much to finish, the scenario feature for example is in development for almost a year now, we should all be careful of what we ask them, they have a (nice) tendency to accept lots of requests, but very fast those requests push back a lot the release of the core features, the ones that really matters and will make a huge difference, like the scenario engine, the combat solver.
