I’m going to unattach all of the previous scenarios i’ve uploaded and drop the one that is working for me now. I’ll include a “remove” list for all of the possible grids, rotations, and gather presets. Hopefully this will fix issues some are having.

I’ve added materia extraction, food buffs, and spiritbond pots. I’m going to give it a few more hours to run as spiritbond pots are a 3 hour buff.

Tomra had a beacon that was causing issues in my grid. I took it out and ran for 3 hours with no problem, but im not having issues like most everyone else. Maybe it’s because im a Lala? Smaller mount and character means not clipping certain objects?

There should be a Heavensward Ephemeral Scenario somewhere that will have what you’re looking for.

Oh! Side note, If you can find other fish that don’t spawn during the same times, you can make a 24/7 scenario that will always be fishing for something that is up, and something that you still need. For instance,(00:00et) to (02:00et) Fish A in chapter 1 (02:00et) to (04:00et) Fish B in chapter 2, and so on until you have 12 chapters filled with fish you need. Im sure it wont be that simple of spawn times, but that’s the main idea. Fish 24/7 🙂

As far as making a skip based on weather, I don’t think that is possible with the current scenario commands. Same goes for Teleporting based on weather. At the moment, miqo doesn’t actually skip bad weather, she just changes the fishing time to 1 min. At best your fishing windows are 5 mins long and you want as much of that window as possible. I would just set it up to run regardless of weather. The edits make use of the extra hour on the Cupfish, but after you get Fingers, I would suggest removing the fingers chapter and adding in an “afkUntil(16:50et)” above the workFor command on the Cupfish chapter. This way you will get all 5mins of fishing time for the cupfish after you have Fingers off of your to do list. Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for the clarification! After disabling the hooksets, I have had success. If/When cast timers are implemented for double hook, I think not much more can be done to improve ocean fishing results. Thanks again!

I’m having trouble getting Miqo to use Double Hook while ocean fishing. The scenario looks like this:

and the presets have Patience, snagging, and mooch turned on. For the “Spectral DH” I have Patience deselected. I assumed that Miqo takes into account the reduced efficiency while Patience is applied and chooses to not use double hook. I havent been able to get Miqo to use DH even with this hypothesis taken into account. What am I missing?

Change the afk time to match the amount of time you need to get you through the cut scene. Im running 7min fishing time with a 15 sec afk timer. It should continue to try to fish for the last 30 sec and should AFK around the 1/2 way mark in the cutscene.

Oh dang! Here is the update with that route! This is actually a good route for Double Hooking. I’ve heard that Patience is a double hook killer so let me know if you notice many !!! getting away in spectral weather on that specific route. I updated times to be more accurate with the 7 min fishing window. You cast all the way through until 30sec and it starts back up before 5 seconds into the next zone.

You have too many Fishing Presets named “Ocean Fishing” It crashes because it doesn’t know which preset to use. Delete your oldest “Ocean Fishing” Preset or Rename it.

It should be a Pill Bug to catch the toad… ha!
That might be a left over from when I was using the scenario manually and wanted to finish all of the tasks. If I recall, plump Worm will pull in either sharks or !!! bites which I probably needed. The key to the high scores is finishing all of your tasks! As long as you are reeling in with patience II consitantly, you’ll be top 5, unless you have some very bad luck compared to the other fishers. Also, side note; If you appeared at all on the list, you were in the top 10 of 24. :3 Far from last place 🙂 I think the only way to improve this scenario is to get double hook to be 100% reliable to double hook the spectral fish that give 4 fish per double hook. Many of them are 1000 points just for a NQ double hook. With Patience, it would be 2k for one cast. However, Miqo needs to be able to predict the fish based on hook times. We need to accurately and reliably hook the right fish and not waste 400GP on a 300 point total !! HQ Coccosteus instead of a 1,600 point total !! HQ Mopbeard. The time difference is 2 second cast time for the 300pts vs 4-7 second cast time for the 1.6k pts.

Yes. It changes areas automatically. If it doesnt time out well for you, adjust the wait times. Norther Strait of Merlthor DAY starts on chapter 2 and ends on chapter 4. Look to chapter 1 of the scenario to tell you which chapter to start on.

It looks like:

//Northern Strait of Merlthor
// Day:2 Sunset:5 Night:8

The 2 by day relates to the starting chapter.
If the route was Northern Strait NIGHT, you would start on chapter 8 and Miqo will run until chapter 10.

Ran twice with no issue. CollectableTurnIn() is in there just to crash the scenario on the last area. The scenario isn’t organized the same as the pussyfoot original. For anyone new to ocean fishing, use the Lulu’s Tools link (@ the bottom of chapter 1) to know what “Route” the boat is taking. The very last area on the boat is considered the “Route”. By choosing Bloodbrine Sea (N) Route, you’ll start on chapter 23. The Cieldalaes (D) is the first area of the Bloodcrine Sea (N) route, and also chapter 23. 😀

You may have to play with the afk times a bit to compensate for the time it takes to run to the edge of the boat, but I was able to make it with no problems. As soon as the timer on the boat hits 6:59, start Miqo and Haul ass to the side.

Still haven’t caught a blue fish, but at this point, it’s only because of my crap luck. (Please post blue fish your successes!) Intuition proc’d three times for me during one spectral current on my last run. Funny enough that whole trip was my worst run point wise @ just over 10k. (Was still 2nd place :D)

Here ya go fellas and cheers to Pussyfoot for doing the original hard labor for this Scenario. Truely, a hero among ToS Violators. 🙂

Thats the next thing im going to try. We should be able to organize the Scenario in such a way that we wont need to search through the chapters after the first area. However, even with a 6 min fishing timer, things dont quite align well. Im working to time out the 2 cutscenes between areas to hopefully make a seamless 3 area run. A problem i’ve encountered is load times seem to differ between players and this makes it almost impossible to know what the timings are going to be. I had someone that watched the cutscene for about 5 minutes and everyone on the boat had to wait for them to finish before the fishing could start. I’d like to get it to run a whole voyage on auto, but this kind of throws a wrench in things.
