Have there been any changes from 1.3.34 to 1.3.35 in the technique you use to hook the keyboard in combat assist, I keep running into an intermittent issue where my joystick input is being interrupted by the assist mode key presses, almost like the application is intermittently losing focus in very short intervals.

No, there has been no changes. Miqobot uses the same WinAPI method as before.
We would recommend to verify whether this issue is caused by Ctrl / Alt / Shift keybinds and whether removing them resolves the problem.
Also, please try temporarily disabling your antivirus. Certain third-party programs are known to interfere with Miqobot application, especially with a new version.

Unfortunately, Miqobot does not support and has never been tested with Gamepad Mode, therefore we can not troubleshoot this issue except giving general recommendations.

I am not using gamepad mode. I am using mouse+keyboard mode, with a left hand keypad that I have the directional buttons mapped to joystick X and Y axes for smooth movement.

Admittedly I have 40 keybinds, first row is numeral keys, second row is function keys, third and fourth rows are ctrl+alt combinations, but they don’t have any GCDs on them so miqo isn’t hitting any of those. There was no issue before 1.3.35, but that’s not necessarily the only thing that changed.

Antivirus is disabled for testing purposes. Doesn’t change symptoms even when enabled.

Another thing I’m noticing that I believe is related is that when FFXIV isn’t focused, say if I am using combat assist in trusts and using my second monitor, I’ll hear stuttered sound from the client as though it’s losing and getting focus several times a second. This stops when I click on the client, then click on an external window.

This behavior is expected and was present before.
As there are no orders in Trust Dungeons, there is no way for Miqobot to control which enemy the trust avatars are attacking. So Miqobot tries to adapt to them instead by selecting the enemy with the lowest HP. This may result in occasional focus changing.
If you monitor Miqobot in action, you will notice this behavior regardless of the game client status.

I apologize for being unclear. Not focus in game. Focus as far as which application is ‘fronted’ in windows.

For example I have the options for sound effects and ambient sounds unchecked under “play sounds when window is not active” and when miqo is playing I hear the sound effects stuttering in and out very quickly, as though every button press miqo made was bringing the window to active.

I may have deciphered my movement issue, I have some more experiments to do an I’ll get back to you.

Thank you for providing additional information.
It is possible that the game client changes the way it evaluates background mode with patch updates. We will try to reproduce your problem, but it is unlikely that we can address it without implementing code injections.
If the game sounds distract you, please consider muting them manually.

    Hi there,

having issues in trust (71) as Mechanist, even in full 70+ gear, seem to always wipe on first boss if leave the program to try and do it. Have no issues doing it myself (but does defeat the purpose of it)

Havent noticed other classes having issues. Just MCH.

During an extended crafting session, Miqo stalled. Looking at the log, it was trying to use the skill “Reflect” at step 8. I had a log full of about 20 of these messages:

(7:11:52 AM) Step 8. Recommended skill: (Reflect)
(7:11:57 AM) Step 8. Recommended skill: (Reflect)

Stopped miqo, restarted, it kept trying to use reflect. I cancelled/destroyed the craft and started over. Haven’t gotten this notification again yet, but thought I’d report.

    Thank you for reporting.
We will try to reproduce your problem, but unfortunately this is very little information to work with. Would you happen to have saved a full message log of this craft? We need to know the exact sequence of steps that led to this moment.

I have logs enabled. Do they overwrite themselves after a point? If not, where how would I find this. This miqo_crafting.log shows a lot of numbers and doesn’t include timestamps so I’m not sure where to copy.

Edit: Nevermind, found it in crafting_solver.log

    This is good.
    No, they do not overwrite.
There should be two files next to Miqobot application: miqo_crafting.log and miqo_crafting_solver.log. Please put them both in ZIP or RAR archive and attach here or send to our Tech Support email. Our developers have the necessary tools to analyze the log files, so they will be able to find the matching log entries.

    Here you go.

Edit: Exceeds the size, so I’ll email it.

Thank you for providing the requested information. We should be able to reproduce the problem now. It appears to be the result of a rare combination of expert crafting conditions which occurs once every 100,000 crafts. It will be addressed in the next version.
Thank you for your assistance very much.

    Hello!!

I use casters and healers for endgame content with combat assist. So I have a few callout macros I use, for example swiftcast and raising. Is there a way to have Miqo use both more controlled? For example sometimes she’ll spam the button to use it leading to a few lines of chat for the callout. I don’t mind if she slows down to use the macro more controlled. 🙂

Yes, there is a simple way.
If you need to prevent a macro from repeating itself, you can use ingame /macrolock and <wait> commands.

    /micon "Raise"
    /mlock
    /merror off
    /action "Raise" <wait.2>
